After fighting to save Zsa Zsa Gabor's right leg, doctors had to perform an above-the-knee amputation on Friday, according to her publicist.The ailing star, 93, was being treated at Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center for a very deep, 12-inch long lesion on her lower leg, which antibiotics were unable to cure.
Since last summer, the veteran glamour girl has suffered a series of health problems, including a hip replacement.
Her doctors tell the Associated Press that Gabor's surgery was successful and she is recovering.
