Star Sighting: Undefeated Whitney

Whitney Houston's ready for her comeback! The glam singer arrives for a press preview of her new album Undefeated, out on September 1st, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in London on Tuesday.

Bill Clinton Says Gays Should be Able to Marry

Former president Bill Clinton has said he is now "basically" in favor of gay marriage.

Speaking at the Campus Progress National Conference in Washington DC, Clinton was asked if he supported gay marriage.

According to the The Nation, he replied: "Yeah. I personally support people doing what they want to do. I think it's wrong for someone to stop someone else from doing that [gay marriage]."

During his term, Clinton opposed gay marriage. He was responsible for the Defence of Marriage Act, which bars access to federal benefits for gay couples and gives federal recognition to heterosexual couples only.

Current president Barack Obama has described the law as "abhorrent" and promised to repeal it in his election campaign. The law was defended in court by the Justice Department in June. The defence invoked incest and child marriage as part of its legal argument, infuriating gay activists.

However, Clinton added he still did not believe gay marriage was "a federal question".

In May, he told an audience at Toronto's Convention Centre that his views on the subject were "evolving".

Clinton is the most high-profile politician to date to change his views on gay marriage.

Christian Bale Looks Crack Cocaine Addicted

Christian Bale looks to have lost a significant amount of weight and thinned his hair for his character in the new movie, The Fighter.

The 35-year-old British actor shot new scenes on Monday afternoon in Los Angeles. In the movie, Christian plays “welterweight boxer turned trainer turned drug addict” Dickie Eklund (welterweight is heavier than lightweight but lighter than middleweight).

FYI: Christian is a notorious method actor, who lost a staggering 63 pounds for the 2004 film The Machinist.

Sandra Bullock was Bullied in School

Sandra Bullock dreaded school as a kid because she was teased by bullies for wearing frumpy clothes bought in Germany.

The Speed actress and her younger sister Gesine regularly accompanied their mother Helga, a German opera singer, as she travelled from their home in Virginia to perform in Europe.

But the constant travel abroad left Bullock clueless as to what was fashionable in her native U.S.

The star recalls, "I would make the switch on the plane from speaking English to German or vice versa, depending on whichever country we were going to...

"I'd come back (to school) from Europe and I looked like a clown compared to the cool way the other students looked and dressed. So I got my ass whooped a little bit. Kids are mean, and the sad thing is that I can still remember the first and last names of every one of those kids who were mean to me!"

But Bullock insists she wouldn't trade her worldly education: "I loved the travelling and it made me unafraid at an early age of stepping into different countries and cultures."

Daniel Radcliffe Thinks Gay Rumors Are 'Awesome'

Daniel Radcliffe loves the fact people think he's not straight - and regularly gets homosexual pals to check gay websites to search for gossip about him.

The Harry Potter star admits that strangers often think he's gay because of his camp personality - and isn't fazed by the comments at all.

And the star insists he is so thrilled to be mistaken as homosexual, he urges his friends to dig up gay gossip about him on community blogs.

He tells Moviefone, "It's wonderful. I grew up around gay people my entire life, basically, that's possibly why I'm quite camp, and some people think I'm gay when I meet them, which I think is awesome.

"It's always good to keep them guessing. I don't go on any blogs or chats or anything, but my friends are demons for them, and apparently someone said 'Daniel Radcliffe is gay. He's got a gay face!'"

Star Sighting: Get a Grip!

Is it something he said? Former Dancing with the Stars partners Tony Dovolani and Melissa Rycroft joke around at the Matt Leinart Foundation fund-raising event Monday at Hollywood's Lucky Strike Lanes.

Rycroft admitted at the bash that fiancé Tye Strickland is more involved with their wedding planning than she is. "At this point, I'm probably the worst bride in the history of brides," she said.

Channing Tatum Goes Shirtless for GQ

G. I. Joe never looked this good.

Channing Tatum, who stars in next month's G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, based on the popular toy line, shows off his action hero body in a sexy photo shoot for the August issue of GQ.

The actor, 29, says he got in shape for the shoot by adhering to a strict meal plan: "just chicken and broccoli and brown rice. Four times a day. And egg whites."

Tatum, who wed Jenna Dewan on Saturday, tells the magazine that the Step Up costar is "the love of my life."

He and Dewan tried to keep their wedding as low-key as possible. Tatum told his relatives, "Wear whatever you want. Wear jeans if you want ... Don't go renting tuxedos."

Though he is being hailed as Hollywood’s next big thing, Tatum, says he is a small-town Southern boy at heart. "I got crazy lucky," he says. "Sometimes I think I won the lottery."

No matter how big he gets, Tatum promises to never forget his Wetumpka, Ala., roots. "I love the smell of country," he says, "[Alabama] is just one of those really quiet places. There’s real folks here."

G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra is out August 7th.

Michael Jackson Fans Stage Vigil in London on Comeback Night

The vigils continue for Michael Jackson, 18 days after his death.

One of the largest was held Monday in London, on the night that would have marked the King of Pop's stage comeback.

But in lieu of a concert, several hundred fans from around the world sang Jackson hits, played his music and lit candles in remembrance as they gathered at the O2 Arena.

"I've come here to celebrate his life and I want to feel a bit closer," Alison Pyman, 27, from Cleethorpes, told the BBC. "We've been reminiscing and sharing memories with everyone. When more people arrive there will quite a party atmosphere."

Jester Hauton, 31, from Copenhagen, had been planning to watch his hero for the first five gigs. "We should have been going to the concert but we're standing here instead," he told the BBC. "The main thing is a celebration of Michael."

Dean Cain 'Just Friends' with Leann Rimes

Former TV Superman Dean Cain has laughed off rumours he's dating Leann Rimes, just months after the married singer/actress was forced to deny allegations of an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian.

Rimes found herself at the centre of a tabloid scandal earlier this year after an American magazine published photos of the star apparently kissing Cibrian during an intimate night out in Los Angeles.

Both stars denied the accusations and Rimes further dismissed claims she was seeking to divorce her dancer husband Dean Sheremet.

Now Rimes' longtime friend Cain has spoken out to put an end to fresh rumours he's the new subject of the blonde beauty's affections.

The bachelor tells U.S. news show Extra, "We are just friends. I've known LeAnn a long time."

Alana Stewart to Publish Farrah's Cancer Diaries

Farrah Fawcett's best friend Alana Stewart is planning to publish a memoir she compiled while filming the final stages of the late actress' cancer battle.

Stewart shot much of the footage for the Farrah's Story documentary, showing the Charlie's Angel favourite try and seek out new treatments in a bid to prolong her life.

And after the success of the documentary, which pulled in 8.9 million viewers in the U.S. when it was aired in May, Stewart will release My Journey With Farrah in August.

Some of the profits raised from sales of the book will go to the Farrah Fawcett Foundation for cancer research.

The actress died on June 25 at the age of 62.

Ryan Seacrest to Be Richest Host on Reality TV

Sought-after bachelor Ryan Seacrest has become an even bigger catch: The American Idol host has closed what is believed to be the biggest deal ever for a reality emcee and will triple his current salary, according to the Hollywood Reporter. His new paycheck: $45 million for three years.

In exchange, says the trade paper, Seacrest, 34, will work exclusively for CKX, parent of Idol producer 19 Entertainment. Best of all, the deal only covers broadcast-network work.

Separately, Seacrest will still maintain a cable agreement with Comcast and his gig as E! Entertainment's main anchor. He'll also continue to produce Keeping Up with the Kardashians for E! and a future Jamie Oliver reality series for ABC.

Reps for the producers and for Seacrest had no comment.

With Seacrest's services secured, the Reporter also says that Idol now needs to nail down the future work of judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi. A question mark, however, hangs over a possible new contract for Simon Cowell, who is said to be paid in excess of $100 million a season – and who has made noises about leaving.

Star Sighting: Sleeky & Chic Couple

It's a date! Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony heat up West Hollywood after a romantic dinner at Madeo on Saturday.

Richard Hatch Invited Back to Survivor

Is Richard Hatch returning to Survivor?

The show’s first winner, who won the $1 million prize 10 years ago, has been invited back to participate in the show’s 10th anniversary season, but legal troubles may prevent him from joining the cast, according to the New York Post.

In May, Hatch completed a 51-month sentence for failing to pay taxes on his prize money but he must complete 90 days of home confinement, the paper reports.

Hatch has requested special permission in a federal court in Rhode Island to be able to travel to a Samoan island in the South Pacific, where the series will start filming next month.

Federal prosecutors do not want to let Hatch out of the country until he pays the taxes and penalties he owes, the Post reports. In a court filing, Hatch’s legal team argues any money he makes on the show will go to the government.

A casting director emailed Hatch to invite him on the show but said he “would need to be available for principal filming … on or about August 1,” according to the report. He would also have to pass “a physical and psychological examination as a background investigation,” but the invite did not mention legal hurdles.

First the Tonys, Now the Emmys for
Neil Patrick Harris

Okay, Oscars: fair warning. This year's Tonys host Neil Patrick Harris is going to emcee the September 20th Emmy Awards, it was officially announced Monday after word slipped out July 2nd.

"After having had such a hoot hosting the Tonys, I was thrilled to get the call about the primetime Emmys," said the How I Met Your Mother star, 36, the Associated Press reports.

As for "adding my own voice" to the proceedings, which honors TV's best, Harris wonders, "But which voice to choose? I'm torn between gangsta, foppish Brit and robot. Really proud of my robot. We'll see what happens on the night."

The Emmys will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Before he hosted awards shows, Harris, who has done Broadway, rose to fame as the bright teen doctor on the classic Doogie Howser, M.D. He also lampooned his own image in the Harold and Kumar movies.

Molly Ringwald Welcomes Twins!

Molly Ringwald plays the mother of a pregnant teen on ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager – but in real-life she's a new mom to twins!

The 80s icon delivered daughter Adele Georgiana and son Roman Stylianos on Friday, July 10 in Los Angeles.

Born naturally, Adele arrived first at 9:01 a.m. followed closely by her brother at 9:04 a.m.

The twins join big sister Mathilda Ereni, 5 ½. As for the age difference between the siblings, "I actually think it's a good thing considering we're having twins," Ringwald, 41, told Fit Pregnancy recently.

"It would be so much harder with a toddler than with an almost 6-year-old," she explains. "It's exciting, especially since it's a boy and girl ... It’s the best of both worlds."

The Secret Life of the American Teenager airs Monday evenings at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.

Maura Tierney Illness Delays NBC's "Parenthood"

NBC's new fall drama series "Parenthood" has been pushed to midseason because of an unspecified illness that has befallen Maura Tierney, one of its stars.

The series, a contemporary reimagining of the 1989 feature, had been scheduled to begin filming July 27th.

The production start has been postponed for eight weeks to late September "due to medical evaluation that (Tierney) is undergoing," NBC said. "We are unable to release further details and ask that you respect her privacy at this time."

"Parenthood" revolves around four siblings (Peter Krause, Tierney, Erika Christensen, Dax Shepard) and their parents (Bonnie Bedelia, Craig T. Nelson).

The series had been slated to premiere September 23rd and run in the 8 p.m. Wednesday hour.

With "Parenthood" pushed, the new drama "Mercy," which was to take over the 8 p.m. Wednesday slot in midseason, will launch in the fall. The cast and crew of the medical drama have been summoned to start work on the series early to have it ready for a September debut.

It was not yet clear whether "Mercy" will air at 8 p.m. Wednesdays as NBC is re-evaluating its fall scheduling plans that now will include the simultaneous launch of two new medical dramas, "Mercy" and "Trauma."

Meanwhile, the delay in production will give "Parenthood" writers more time to work on scripts.

This is the second time filming on "Parenthood" has been put on hold following unfortunate circumstances. In April, production on the pilot was shut down for two days after NBC vp drama Nora O'Brien died unexpectedly on the Berkeley, Calif., set of the show.

Tierney is perhaps best known for her 10-year stint as Dr. Abby Lockhart on "ER," for which she earned an Emmy nomination. She also starred on another NBC series, the comedy "NewsRadio," and has appeared in several features, including "Insomnia" and "Baby Mama."

"Mercy" chronicles the lives of the staff at Mercy Hospital through the eyes of three nurses (Taylor Schilling, Michelle Trachtenberg and Jaime Lee Kirchner).

"Bruno" Sashays to the Top Spot at US Box Office

"Bruno," British satirist Sacha Baron Cohen's latest subversive outing, narrowly claimed the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office in North America, according to studio estimates issued on Sunday.

The "mockumentary," in which Baron Cohen plays a gay Austrian fashion model seeking fame in the United States, sold $30.4 million worth of tickets during the three days beginning July 10th, distributor Universal Pictures said.

But the film lost 39 percent of its audience from Friday to Saturday, a hefty drop given that movies usually see an uptick in that period.

Rival studios pounced on the slide, forecasting "Bruno" would have a short run in theaters. But Universal distribution president Nikki Rocco said such a dip "was not unusual in summer."

"Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" held steady at No. 2 with $28.5 million, taking the 12-day haul for 20th Century Fox's prehistoric cartoon to $120.6 million. The film was the top draw internationally over the weekend, with $98 million from 102 markets. Its total foreign haul stands at $327 million.

Last weekend's North American champion, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," slipped to No. 3 with $24.2 million. After 19 days, Paramount Pictures' robot sequel has earned $339.2 million in North America, easily the biggest movie of the year. Its international haul rose to $364.5 million.

The one other new entry was Fox's teen romantic comedy "I Love You, Beth Cooper," starring Hayden Panettiere in the title role. It came in at No. 7 with $5 million, in line with the studio's modest expectations.

The opening for "Bruno" was also in line with the forecasts of Universal Pictures, a General Electric Co unit, which paid independent producer Media Rights Capital $42.5 million for distribution rights in North America and eight foreign territories. Media Rights declined to disclose the budget.

Baron Cohen's previous release, the similarly outrageous "Borat," opened with $26.5 million in November 2006. But that was from about 800 theaters, while "Bruno" played in 2,756 theaters. "Borat" ended up with $128.5 million in North America and an additional $133 million internationally.

Universal said "Bruno" earned $20 million from the eight international markets, led by No. 1 bows in Britain ($8.1 million) and Australia ($6.1 million).

"Bruno" faced a similar storm of controversy as "Borat."

In the new film, Baron Cohen's character sashays across the American landscape, piling on the homosexual activity for unsuspecting co-stars and a squeamish audience. Critics mostly liked the movie, while gay-rights groups were mixed in their reactions.

Both films were directed by Larry Charles, a former writer/producer on "Seinfeld."

Exit data provided by Universal indicated that men made up 56 percent of the "Bruno" audience in North America, in line with the turnout for "Borat."

But this time, 54 percent of moviegoers were aged 25 and older, while 53 percent of the "Borat" crowd was aged under 25. Both films were rated "R" in the United States, requiring moviegoers under 17 to be accompanied by an adult.

Universal's Rocco said the film would be "very profitable" for the studio, which picked up the rights before "Borat" was released.

Brady Bunch Reunion Planned for Oprah

Calling fake Jan, calling fake Jan!

I don’t know what Geri Reischl is up top these days but it would be really fun if she showed up for Brady Bunch reunion on The Oprah Winfrey Show, stepping for Eve Plumb just like she did 30 years ago on The Brady Bunch Variety Hour.

Even in the best of times, Eve Plumb seems to have a love-hate relationship with with legacy as Jan Brady and appeared absolutely miserable on the Still Brady After All These Years 35tb anniversary special. But things really took a bad turn when her TV big sister Maureen McCormick teased that the two had a lesbian kiss while doing the 1969-74 sitcom that launched endless reunion specials and follow-up series.

The NY Post reports: McCormick, blogging this week on Fancast.com, said all six Brady “kids” were invited to reunite on the Oprah Winfrey show in September: “All of us said yes except for one person, Eve Plumb, who used to be my best friend but now apparently wants to distance herself from the show and, most troubling, from me . . . I have no idea why, unless she’s mad at the joke I made a few years ago that we’d had a lesbian love affair. I made the crack to be funny — and for shock value. I’m sorry if she took offense.”

Plumb’s agent, Mark Measures, down played any animosity: “No one from ‘Oprah’ called. We haven’t turned down anything. There is no feud.”

So maybe the real Jan will show up! The truth is, out of all the Brady cast, Eve was the most gifted actress and had a series of successful TV movies after the series ended including my favorite: Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway. Other credits include the Little Women mini-series and follow-up series and the wonderful Saturday morning series Fudge on which she played the mom of the title character.

Plumb has also been a successful painter for the past few decades.

Victoria Beckham in Sex and the City Sequel

Victoria Beckham has accepted a cameo role in the upcoming Sex and the City sequel. The new film project will start shooting on location in New York City in August.

Beckham was offered a walk-on role in the first movie but had to turn it down because she was heavily involved in her Spice Girls Tour. She was up for another opportunity when the sequel was announced and has even taken some acting lessons in anticipation.

Beckham made an appearance on season two of Ugly Betty and also appeared as a guest judge on Project Runway.

The original four cast members, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, have all completed their contract negotiations, reportedly for a substantially better payday than they received for their work in the first film.

Matthew Fox Plans No More TV After Lost

Matthew Fox has no plans to return to the small screen after he finishes filming hit TV show Lost - because making movies allows him to spend more time with his family.

Fox and wife Margherita have two children - 12 year old daughter Kyle and eight year old son Byron.

The filming for the sixth and final series of Lost begins later this year, and Fox plans to take up to six months off work afterwards to spend quality time with his family.

The star also insists when he returns to acting he will reduce his hectic schedule by only shooting one or two movies a year.

He says, "I am not going to do television again. That is not because I think film is better than television. Not at all, in some respects some of the best story telling is happening on television.

"I have done two TV shows - Lost and Party of Five - that have each run for six years. When you add it all up it is in the vicinity of 300 hours of television. I want to find a way to have more control over when I am working and when I'm not. I'm looking for more flexibility."

Fox also admits he fears he will regret the amount of time he spends working: "I am 42 and a father of two children and I don't want to miss them growing up. I don't want to find myself 10 years from now feeling like I was an absentee father because I was so focused on my career."

Antonio Banderas To Play Zorba

Antonio Banderas is set to return to the stage for a new production of Zorba The Greek.

The Spaniard is set to tackle the title role, which late great actor Anthony Quinn made his own in 1964.

The Mask of Zorro star says, "I want to go back to theatre because it is my main source, I'm more a theatre actor than a film actor."

Banderas, who was honored with the President's Prize at Karlovy Vary Film Festival in the Czech Republic at the weekend, won acclaim on Broadway as the lead star of musical Nine.

LaToya Jackson: 'Michael Was Murdered'

Speaking out for the first time since Michael Jackson's sudden death on June 25, the singer's sister LaToya Jackson, 53, is raising alarming allegations.

"Michael was murdered," LaToya claims in an exclusive interview with London newspaper the News of the World.

“We don't think just one person was involved in the murder," she added, refusing to name the people she believes are responsible for the death during her four-hour interview in L.A. “It was a conspiracy to get Michael's money."

According to LaToya, Jackson himself always feared for his life. "A couple of years ago Michael told me he was worried that people were out to get him,” she told the paper. "He said, 'They're gonna kill me for my publishing. They want my catalogues and they're gonna kill me for these.' "

In the months leading up to his London performances, Jackson told his sister that he was on a six-month detox to prepare for his comeback, but LaToya says she had other suspicions.

"Michael was being inappropriately treated by people who got him hooked on drugs,” she told the News of the World. "He had many needle marks on his neck and on his arms, and more about those will emerge in the next few weeks. But nothing has changed my mind that this was murder.”

And despite the family’s best efforts to reach out to Jackson recently, LaToya claims that those plotting against Jackson “tried to keep the family away at all times.”

LaToya is not the only family member who believes there was a conspiracy to take Jackson’s life. The family patriarch, Joe Jackson, echoed his daughter’s sentiments, telling ABC News on Friday, “I do believe it was foul play. I do believe that."

But while the tragedy has left the Jackson clan broken-hearted, "this has united the family," LaToya told the News. "We're all in pain and suffering the loss of Michael ... but we're also determined to get to the bottom of what happened to him."

The Obamas Meet the Pope

Barack Obama met Pope Benedict XVI for the first time as President of the United States. First Lady Michelle Obama accompanied him to the sitting, which took place in the pope's Vatican library on Friday.

Meet Chaz Bono's Girlfriend, Jennifer Elia

Chaz Bono and his girlfriend Jennifer Elia attended this week’s Outfest Opening Night Gala of “La Mission” at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

This was Chaz Bono’s first public appearance since he began his gender transformation earlier this year.

Chaz, the son of Cher and the late Sonny Bono, changed his name from Chastity while undergoing the sex change.

Outfest is the largest film festival for LGBT-themed movies in the country.

Jennifer and Chaz are longtime partners and live in West Hollywood.

John Barrowman Loves Nude Sunbathing

Actor John Barrowman has a secret beauty regime - he likes sunbathing naked.

The Torchwood star insists stripping off in hot weather is "liberating", but only indulges his saucy hobby at the seaside - and he is always careful to use plenty of sunblock on the more sensitive areas of his body.

Speaking on U.K. TV show Loose Women, he says, "It's not so much about naturism, for me it's more nude sunbathing. I think nude sunbathing is fantastic. There is nothing more liberating than taking all your clothes off and lying in the sun... on the beach! I'm not going to go to a supermarket or go shopping!"

Asked if he has any tips to minimise risks, Barrowman replied: "Factor 45! Factor 50!"

Sacha Baron Cohen Crashes Bruno Screening

Cinemagoers watching a late night New York screening of outrageous new comedy Bruno got more than they bargained for - when the character's mastermind Sacha Baron Cohen gatecrashed the movie.

Film fans were stunned as Cohen, in the role of his gay Austrian fashionista creation, stormed into Times Square's AMC Empire cinema dressed in a silver uniform and revealing red thong.

Running down the aisles, Cohen high-fived revellers and knocked glasses off people's faces before jumping on to a podium and treating the audience to an x-rated pole dance.

And in true Bruno form, Cohen didn't hold back with his comments.

According to New York Gossip Column Page Six, Cohen shouted, "Let's hope that this film realises its full global potential! Let's hope it doesn't have like a really promising start and then peter out like swine flu did! Let's hope that, like herpes, this film continues to infect all of you."

And Cohen couldn't help but try and offend the ticket-holders who had turned out to watch his latest cringe-inducing movie.

He added, "It's like a Benetton ad in here. New York City, the cultural melting pot. You've even got black guys here. I'm a chocoholic."

Ryan Reynold Goes Green with Superhero Role

Ryan Reynolds has beaten off competition from Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper to play superhero the Green Lantern, according to industry reports.

Reynolds, fast becoming an action-hero following roles in the Blade trilogy and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, has been chosen to take on the comic creation, reports Daily Variety.

The Green Lantern tells the tale of a group of protagonists who can control the physical world with an all-powerful ring.

It will be the first time an actor has appeared in films by rival comic giants DC and Marvel.

Ryan Reynolds: I Would Love To Adopt

First comes marriage, then comes adoption! Ryan Reynolds tells Glamour that his inspiration to have a blended family comes from his parents: "My oldest brother is adopted and I have every intention of adopting at some time," he says.

The 32-year-old Proposal star, who is married to Scarlett Johansson, 24, adds, "I'm very grateful for having my brother in my life. I couldn't be more pro-adoption. There are plenty of kids in the world that need it."

So what does his wife think? Johansson told February's Harper's Bazaar "I'm not pregnant and I'm not going to be anytime soon."

Entourage Boys Get into a Battle of the Bulge

The stars of Entourage are usually just as tight off-screen as they are on the show, but an alleged sock-stuffing incident during a Peopke photoshoot has sparked a playful war of words between Adrian Grenier and Kevin Connolly.

Grenier's gone on the mock-defensive after Connolly appeared on Tuesday's Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and, after the late night host showed a People photo of Grenier, Connolly and costar Jerry Ferrara costumed as the Bee Gees for People's Hottest Bachelors issue, Connolly told the audience that Grenier's ample disco-pants bulge came courtesy of a strategically placed sock.

"My question is: how would HE know?" Grenier told People at the sixth season premiere party for the HBO hit. "What was he doing looking? And why was Conan looking too? It's weird! I've never scrutinized another man's groin area in my entire life – or his socks, for that matter."

Connolly told O'Brien, “Adrian put a sock [in his pants] … When he was doing it, I said ‘What are you doing?' and he said ‘It's what they did in the '70s." I didn't know that. And the photographer's like 'Adrian, we've got to lose one of the socks.' And all of sudden when the photo came out I'm getting calls from girlfriends of mine, like 'So, Adrian…' And I didn't want to throw him under the bus with the individual girls. I figured I'd wait until I got here on The Tonight Show."

"How many socks are in there?" O'Brien wondered.

"I don't know what kind of show they're doing – It's not a medical show," suggested Grenier (who kept coy on the matter of did he or didn't he) about the on-air appraisal of his anatomy. "The Tonight Show is not a medical show, and Conan should learn that."

But even Entourage costar Kevin Dillon – who says he was "SO jealous" he wasn't part of the shoot – admits he was surprised to see what Grenier was packing in his Barry Gibb gear when he first saw the photo. "I was like 'What, do you have a sock in there?'" Dillon told People. "And he actually DID – I had no idea! I said it jokingly."

Meet the Big Brother 11 Houseguests!

(Top L-R) Jeff, Jordan, Braden, Chima, Ronnie, Lydia, Kevin & Laura
(Bottom L-R) Russell, Michele, Casey, Natalie & Jesse.

For 99 percent of the population, high school was a painful three (or four)-year odyssey of social awkwardness, backstabbing, bad skin, and raging hormonal urges. Yet there was no cash prize waiting for the victor! Then again, high schools didn’t (usually) monitor your every movement and utterance with 52 cameras and 80 microphones.

But CBS’ Big Brother remedies all that with a clique-based season. So take out your pencil and notebook: Here’s a brief guide to the 12 contestants and the first episode.

The Athletes:
Jeff:
The aw-shucks Chicago Ad Salesman with soap opera good looks, and a hankering for a showmance. Hypnotized by Laura’s…. exponential growth.
Russell: The intense Mixed-Martial arts fighter who calls himself “The Love Muscle.” Took one look and said, “I don’t see anyone as a threat right now, and I cannot wait to put them all on their asses.”
Natalie: Who won a Tae Kwon Do bronze medal in the Junior Olympics, but then captured the gold in first-episode BB conniving. In the first sit-down with housemates, she not only lied about her age, but then was called out on it by Kevin.

The Brains:
Michelle: The Pasadena neuroscientist who effortlessly combines bubbly with bloodthirsty. Here’s hoping she can handle her housemates as well as she does cocaine-addled lab rats.
Chima: The freelance reporter said it all when she said, “I don’t mind being on the Brains, I just feel like I should have better team members.”
Ronnie: Our vote for Most Likely to Suffer an Excitement-Induced Aneurysm. Says, “I’m definitely the smartest person in the house.” Has a note from his mother to prove it.

The Popular:
Braden:
During introductions, the beach boy/model stated, “Surfing is better than sex. Mother Nature doesn’t talk back.” Should be pointed out that Mother Nature also cannot give you a fake phone number, file a restraining order against you, or regret you for the rest of your life.
Laura: The “Promotional” model declared, “Nine out of ten girls really hate me because the way I look.” Leaving every tenth girl, and four out of five dentists, truly hating her for her personality.
Jordan: The Southern gal whose family has the worst euphemism for coitus in the history of the English language. “Booger, means ’sex’, and I’m not going to do that!” Her mother’s parting words (think Polonius to Laertes), “No Booger!”

The Offbeat (a.k.a. The Oddballs):
Lydia: Lydia, oh Lydia, say have you met Lydia, Lydia the Tattooed special-effects make-up artist?
Kevin: Just ask him, he’ll tell you he’s fabulous. He’s also “Blackenese,” and echoed many of the viewers sentiments when he wailed, “I hated high school, I don’t want to go back there!”
Casey: Fifth-grade teacher by day, deejay by night, foot in his mouth all of the time. “My two people, God bless ‘em, is gay dude, and tattooed chick.” One can only imagine that God can bless them and then sort them out as well.

The Action: The first HOH competition was aptly named, “The Wedgie.” Julie Chen’s simple instructions that will ring throughout BB history: “Please step into your underwear and grab your toilet seat.” Hoisted up by an oversized pair of undies, the last person clinging to a toilet seat would win. That designation, and all the power that comes with it, would go to one of the “Mysterious Four,” a quartet of former cast members, each one representing one of the cliques. Waiting in the wings for the Offbeats was Michael “Cowboy” Ellis from BB 5; for the Popular, Jessica from BB 8, and rounding out the four were two housemates from season two. For the Brains, it was the quick-exiting Brian, and for the Athletes, back, “Bigger, and better than last year,” Jessie.

After a slew of ‘Power Wedgies, natural selection followed and the Athletes won, opening the door (again) to brash, brawny, and dare we say odious Jessie. With the bodybuilder taking charge as HOH, this may not just be high school revisited for the rest of the house, it may quickly become high school transported to Dante’s ninth circle of Hell. Game on!

Madonna: Getting Ready to "Celebrate"

www.madonnatribe.com/ has recently reported that "Celebrate", will be the lead single from Madonna's upcoming Greatest Hits package "Celebration". It is set to hit radio waves around the world on July 28th!

For those lucky fans who attended the "Sticky & Sweet Tour" have already managed to hear a glimpse of the single.

"Celebrate" can indeed be heard in the show during the "Holiday" number. Bits of both the new single and Madonna's oldie "Everybody" are sampled in the song, although fans should not be confused by the vocals introducing the song (Celebration, Celebration) which are those from Holiday and only a hint to "Celebrate" which doesn't feature vocals borrowed from Madonna's 1983 megahit but it's a completely new, kick ass uptempo anthem in pure Madonna style.

Speaking of new songs, "Revolver" is now the only second new track to be part of the Greatest Hits package, while "Broken", the other track produced by Paul Oakenfold won't be released.

Last but not least, Madonna fans will be happy to know that "Celebration", the hits collection, is a double album! It is scheduled to be released later this fall.

New Book Explores David Beckham-Tom Cruise Bromance

Ever since David Beckham befriended Tom Cruise in 2003, the actor has influenced every single life decision Becks has made.

That's the moral of the story exposed in The Beckham Experiment, a new book by Sports Illustrated writer Grant Wahl, who spends a whole chapter of his saga describing the soccer star's relationship with Cruise.

And it goes something like this: David and wife Victoria hired both Cruise's rep and his PR firm to speak for them (begging the question: Is Tom's current PR all that valued given his declining popularity of late?) In addition, Posh and Becks moved just five minutes away from TomKat when they made the jump to LA. Cruise even left Germany, where he was filming Valkyrie, to throw them a housewarming fĂŞte. David also adopted his physical therapist and fellow bromantic, Will Smith.

According to the New York Daily News, David and Tom talk on the phone most days, and Beckham takes Cruise's advice on "nearly everything," even influencing the footballer's decision to play for LA Galaxy. And the Beckhams' son, Cruz? Yep, also a shout-out to Tom.

It sounds like the only thing the two don't share is a love of Xenu. Beckham has said:

It's something I respect, because Tom's explained to me and Victoria what it's all about. But he's never turned around and said, 'That is what you should be doing,' because he would never do that. He and Katie have their beliefs ... but me and Victoria have also got our own.

Ryan Seacrest Nears New Megadeal

This is ... a rich new deal for "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.

The ubiquitous Seacrest is putting the finishing touches on a contract extension with "Idol" co-producer 19 Entertainment to continue to emcee the top-rated series on TV.

The pact, which is believed to be for three years, will give Seacrest a major pay raise and make him one of the highest-paid reality hosts on television. He made slightly less than $5 million this season for his work on "Idol," which breaks down to about $100,000 per episode.

Additionally, Seacrest is said to be expanding his relationship with 19 Entertainment, possibly to develop series with 19 principal and "Idol" creator Simon Fuller.

"Idol" is produced jointly by 19, Fremantle and Fox. All declined to comment on Seacrest's new deal, as did his attorneys at Hansen Jacobson, but the agreement is expected to be announced Monday.

In addition to his hosting duties on Fox's "Idol," E! News and on the radio -- where he has a daily show and hosts "American Top 40" -- Seacrest has made an entree into producing with such unscripted series as "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," "Denise Richards: It's Complicated" and ABC's upcoming show starring British chef Jamie Oliver.

Seacrest traveled to the U.K. last month and met with executives at 19 to discuss a new deal.

He is not the only "Idol" star to use the show's off-season to hammer out a new pact for the show. The "Idol" judges also are negotiating new deals.

Uber-judge Simon Cowell has made statements suggesting that he might leave the singing competition when his contract is up at the end of next season. The British media has pegged his salary demands for staying on the show at more than $100 million a year.

The other judges -- Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi -- all have said they hope to close deals to return next season.

Though the ratings for the reality juggernaut have slipped in the past couple of years, "Idol" remains the highest-rated series on television by a mile and is a windfall for its producers.

Bruno Makes the Cover of OUT

So Bruno, the new Sacha Baron Cohen comedy, is finally coming out today. It feels like the movie has been out for months, based on all of the public appearances from Sacha throughout the world.

OUT magazine has an interview with Cohen in character as Bruno, the over-the-top gay Austrian fashion reporter. Here are a few questions and answers:

You are one of Austria’s top fashion reporters and now, with the release of your film, you’re about to become a global superstar. Where did it all begin?
Ich have alvays been incredibly fabulous — in ze first ultrasound picture ever taken of me in mein mutter’s womb, you can clearly see zat I’d taken ze umbilical cord und wrapped it round my waist with a knot at ze side, like a Marc Jacobs snakeskin serpentine belt.

So you always just knew that you would become Austrian Gay TV’s BrĂĽno?
From ze minute I vas born, ich vas destined to be BrĂĽno. Instead of drinking baby milk formula, ich used to snort ze powder. Most babies’ first vords are “mama” or “dada” — BrĂĽno’s vere, “I’m gay — get ĂĽber it.”

Let’s talk about the film. What do you hope audiences come away with?
If zey’re hot black guys, ich am hoping zat zey’ll come away upshtehen!

What does the movie say about fashion?
You know ze song zat says “it doesn’t matter vat you wear, just as long as you are zere”? Vell, mein movie says pretty much exactly ze opposite of zat. You know it makes me so angry, ze lack of respect fashion gets. Did you know zat not one world war has ever been started by a model? People should think about that.

Pick up the August 2009 issue of OUT for the complete Bruno interview.
