Joke: "Talking" Italian

A bus stops and two Italian men get on. They seat themselves, and engage in animated conversation. The lady sitting behind them ignores their conversation at first, but her attention is galvanized when she hears one of the men say the following:

''Emma come first. I come. Dennis come and Dennis come again. I come again. Two asses, they come together again. I come again and pee twice. Then I come once-a-more.''

''You foul-mouthed swine,'' retorted the lady indignantly. ''In this country we don't talk about our sex lives in public.''

''Hey, coola down lady,'' said the man. ''Imma just tella my friend howa to spella Mississippi.''

Nights in Rodanthe

Nights in Rodanthe
Rated: PG-13

Starring: Richard Gere, Diane Lane & Christopher Meloni

If you loved watching Richard & Dianne paired in "Unfaithful", you will truly love this incredible tearjerker. It is a MUST SEE and possibly one of them most beautiful love story of all time.

In "Nights in Rodanthe," Oscar nominee Diane Lane stars as Adrienne Willis, a woman with her life in chaos, who retreats to the tiny coastal town of Rodanthe, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, to tend to a friend's inn for the weekend.

In Rodanthe, she hopes to find the tranquility she so desperately needs to rethink the conflicts surrounding her which includes a wayward husband (Meloni) who has asked to come home, and a teenaged daughter who resents her every decision.

Almost as soon as Adrienne gets to Rodanthe, a major storm is forecast and a guest named Dr. Paul Flanner (Gere) arrives. As the only guest at the inn, Flanner is not on a weekend escape but rather is there to face his own crisis of conscience. Now, with the storm closing in, the two turn to each other for comfort and, in one magical weekend, set in motion a life-changing romance that will resonate throughout the rest of their lives.

Make sure you bring plenty of tissues with you as I guarantee that no one will leave the movie theatre with dry eyes.

I personally rate this movie as one of my Top 5 favorites of all-times.

10:00 PM

Californication - Showtime
The Unit - CBS

My "TOP TV PICK for today is: Desperate Housewives

Desperate Housewives starts it's fifth season with a five year leap into the future.

When the 4th season's last show came to a close in May, we saw Gabrielle (Eva Longoria Parker) in frumpier attire as a mom with two bratty children running around her house; Brie (Marcia Cross) hired her son Andrew (Shawn Pyfrom) as her assistant for her home-based catering business; Edie (Nicolette Sheridan) moved away from Wisteria Lane as she was disowned by her "friendly" neighbors; Lynette (Felicity Huffman) with dealing with her uncontrollable children who had grown up to become hoodlum teens; and Susan (Teri Hatcher)revealed her newest lover boy, played by Gale Howard. But who knows what happened to Mike (James Denton)?

Here are a few SPOILERS of what lies ahead with this "dramedy". If you do not want to spoil your appetite for some exciting story lines, I suggest you stop reading this posting right now.

  • A main housewife is horrified to learn that one of her kids has developed romantic feelings for her.
  • Mike, Susan and Jackson (aka Susan's new boyfriend) engage in a kinky threesome.
  • A fatal accident in the season premiere causes huge repercussions for several characters.
  • Gail O'Grady (NYPD Blue) is joining the cast of Desperate Housewives as the cul-de-sac's newest troublemaker.
  • Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) is now a masseur and sees clients in his home.
  • Danielle (Joy Lauren) and Leo Katz, the new man in her life, have custody of Benjamin. They bring the kid to see Bree. Danielle is afraid that Bree and Orson may try to steal Ben back.
  • Lily Tomlin joins the cast in the recurring role of Mrs. McCluskey's sister.
  • Wisteria Lane's resident gays, Bob and Lee, will be back for year five and we'll soon learn a lot more about the good-looking couple. Seems Bob has got some serious issues -- like, seek professional help sort of issues -- and it will all come out this season.

There's plenty of secrets and mysteries waiting to happen on Wisteria Lane, and I promise to be glued to my TV to stay on top of my favorite dramedy of all times.

It's AbFab...Sweetie, Darling, Sweetie!

Absolutely Fabulous (aka "AbFab") is a Emmy Award-winning British comedy series written by and starring Jennifer Sauders (Edina "Eddy" Monsoon) and co-starring Joanna Lumley (Patsy Stone), Julia Sawalha (Saffron Monsson), June Whitfield (Mother) and Jane Horrocks (Bubble). It was broadcast on the BBC from 1992 to 1996 and 2001 to 2005. In the US it has been televised on PBS, BBC America, Comedy Central and most recently the Oxygen Network.

AbFab grew from a "French & Saunders" (another BBC hit) sketch called "Modern Mother and Daughter", which starred Jennifer Saunders as the mother and Dawn French as the daughter. Saunders was by PR guru, Lynne Franks, when she created the role of Edina. Franks believed Saunders observed her and her family in detail while on a family holiday, which upset her greatly.

The shows plot was based on Edina and Patsy's life as two immature, prosperous, but preposterous substance-abusing fashion and fad-obsessed Londoners who valued fame and style over substance (unless they are controlled substances). Saffron, Edina's daughter, provided the persistently dour voice of Monsoon and Stone's super-ego. Edina and Saffy lived in a house in Holland Park. Patsy spent most of her time at Edina's pad.

The program was centered around Eddy's ongoing struggle to achieve fame, success and a slender figure amidst the disapproval of her daughter and the constant presence of her increasingly senile mother. Throughout, Patsy was at her side encouraging the behaviours that constantly caused her conflict. Much of the comedy of the show was physical, usually derived from Edina and Patsy's drunken and/or stoned states, with their favourite drinks being Bolly Stolly (a cocktail of Bollinger champagne and Stolichnaya vodka) and later Veuve & Bourb (a mix of Veuve Clicquot champagne and bourbon) or Dom & Bom (a mix of Dom Perignon champagne and Bombay Sapphire gin). The mutual loathing between Saffy and Patsy, as each tried to guide Edina's behavior, also made for many comic situations. A recurring gag found new ways for Edina to fall headfirst out of cars, windows, or down her kitchen stairs at least once every series.

I became addicted to the "Sweetie, Darling's" in the Winter of 2001 and have been enjoying a dose of AbFab every now and then.

The five series (seasons) of AbFab were released on VHS and DVD, along with the following specials "The Last Shout", "White Box" and "Gay". Earlier this year, a DVD box set titled "Absolutely Fabulous: Absolutely Everything" was released. This 9 disc set contains all five series (seasons), plus the 2002 and 2004 Christmas Specials, and more than 2 1/2 hours of special features. You can purchase the box set at many CD/DVD stores including Best Buy, or online at Amazon.com.

Here's a montage of greatest "AbFab" moments. Enjoy it!

Legendary Actor Paul Newman Dies

Paul Newman, the Academy-Award winning actor who personified cool as an activist, race car driver, popcorn impresario and the anti-hero of such films as "Hud" "The Color of Money," has died at the age odf 83. Newman passed away on Friday after a long battle with cancer at his farmhouse near Westport, Connecticut. He was surrounded by his family and close friends.

This past May, Newman cancelled his plans to direct a new pproduction of "Of Mice and Men" due to health concerns.

Newman got his start in theater and on television during the 1950s. He went on to become one of the world's most enduring and popular film stars. He was nominated 10 times for Oscars, winning one well deserved award for "The Color of Money" and two honorary ones. He played major roles in over 50 motion pictures, including "Exodus," ''Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," ''The Verdict," ''The Sting" and "Absence of Malice."

He teamed in some films with his wife and fellow Oscar winner, Joanne Woodward, with whom he had one of Hollywood's rare long-term marriages. They got married in 1958.

With his strong, classically handsome face and piercing blue eyes, Newman was a heartthrob just as likely to play against his looks, becoming a favorite with critics for his convincing portrayals of rebels, tough guys and losers. He once said "I was always a character actor. I just looked like Little Red Riding Hood."

Newman always had a soft spot for the underdogs, he donated tens of millions to charities through his food company and set up camps for severely ill children. He passionately opposed to the Vietnam War, and was in favor of civil rights. Newman was so famously liberal that he ended up on President Nixon's "enemies list," one of the actor's proudest achievements, he liked to say.

In the 1970s, Newman was bored with acting, so he became fascinated with auto racing. He turned profession in 1977 when Newman and his driving team made strong showings in several major races, including fifth place in Daytona in 1977 and second place in the Le Mans in 1979.

In 1982, Newman and writer A.E. Hotchner, started a company to market Newman's original oil-and-vinegar dressing. Newman's Own. It all began as a joke, but grew into a multimillion-dollar business selling popcorn, salad dressing, spaghetti sauce and other foods. All of the company's profits were donated to charities. By 2007, the company had donated more than $175 million, according to its Web site.

In 1988, Newman founded a camp in northeastern Connecticut for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. He went on to establish similar camps in several other states and in Europe.
He and Woodward bought an 18th century farmhouse in Westport, where they raised their three daughters, Elinor "Nell," Melissa and Clea. Newman had two daughters, Susan and Stephanie, and a son, Scott, from a previous marriage to Jacqueline Witte.

In May 2007, Newman told ABC's "Good Morning America" he had given up acting, however he intended to remain active in charity projects.

Newman is survived by his wife, five children, two grandsons and his older brother Arthur.

Weird News: The Missing Penis!

A Kentucky doctor is being sued over the amputation of a patient's penis, a procedure the doctor contends was "medically necessary" and authorized by the patient.

Lawyer Clay Robinson says Dr. John Patterson performed the surgery because the patient, 61-year-old Phillip Seaton, had cancer.
In a written statement in answer to the lawsuit, Robinson said Patterson had been given permission to perform any medical procedure deemed necessary.

Seaton and his wife, Deborah, have sued in Shelby County Circuit Court over the amputation, which took place during a scheduled circumcision to treat inflammation.

The lawsuit claims Patterson removed Seaton's penis without consulting either Phillip or Deborah Seaton or giving them an opportunity to seek a second opinion.

The Seatons are seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages from Patterson, Commonwealth Urology and Dr. Oliver James, the anesthesiologist during the procedure.

The Seatons' suit is similar to one in which an Indianapolis man was awarded more than $2.3 million in damages after he claimed his penis and left testicle were removed without his consent during surgery for an infection in 1997.

Robinson and Seaton's attorney, Kevin George, said post-operative tests confirmed that Seaton had cancer.

"Mr. Seaton had no reasonable option other than to have the cancer removed," Robinson said in his statement. "Mr. Seaton's problem was not the surgery, it was the cancer," he added.

Winehouse Sinks Deeper Into Black Hole

Poor Amy Winehouse. Her lifestyle has gotten so bad that even she recognizes there is a problem.
"Life can't go on. I can't do this any more," Winehouse cried, after ruining her 12-year-old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield's performance at the End of Summer ball at Berkeley Square on Sept. 25 in London, according to The Daily Mail.

Winehouse sang backup vocals during Bromfield's singing debut at the ball and onlookers watched as Winehouse's erratic behavior during the set of songs grew worse.

"It was tragic -- she seemed totally wasted. She was jumping all over Dionne as the poor girl tried to sing for the crowd. Amy didn't really sing a single note -- it sounded more like she was grunting down themic."

The troubled star showed up to the ball wearing leopard-print shorts, a black vest and a pink satin jacket to what was a black-tie event, The Sun reports.

Winehouse's look was complete with unkempt hair and blood all over her legs. A few photographs even show a white-substance in the 'Rehab' singer's nose.

If we want some change in this country that can get rid of the disasters GW created in the past 8 years, DON'T vote for McCain & what's her name!

Let's make a change &

Fall TV Premiere Week - Thursday

Well, my favorite night on television has finally arrived. ABC is promoting this week as "Stay at Home Week" and I will be doing exactly as I am instructed since two of my favorite shows (Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy) will be returning for another season.

Below is a list of the new and returning series premiering this Thursday night:

8:00 PM
My Name is Earl - NBC
Ugly Betty - ABC

9:00 PM
Grey's Anatomy - ABC
The Office - NBC

10:00 PM
ER - NBC

(Schedule is based on Eastern Time)

My "TOP TV PICK" for this Thursday Night is:

UGLY BETTY
on ABC at 8:00 pm (ET)

In the superficial world of high fashion, image is everything. Styles come and go, and the only constants are the super thin beauties who wear them. How can an ordinary girl from Queens possibly fit in?

If you took a moment to get to know Betty Suarez (America Ferrera), you'd see how sweet, intelligent and hard-working she is (if a bit fashion-challenged). When publishing mogul Bradford Meade (Alan Dale) handed the reigns of Mode, the bible of the fashion industry, over to this son, Daniel (Eric Mabius), he specifically hired Betty as his son's new assistant -- mostly because she was the only woman Daniel wouldn't sleep with. Both outsiders in their own way, Daniel and Betty form an unlikely team, each helping the other navigate the choppy waters of NYC's fashion scene.

Everyone predicted Betty would fail. Instead, she thrived in the ultra-competitive environment. But she always faced new challenges. Diva fashionista Wilhelmina Slater (Vanessa Williams), fed up with trying to earn the job of editor, devised a new strategy -- she became engaged to marry Bradford and hoped to wrest control of the magazine that way. Wilhelmina with her loyal assistant Marc St. James (Michael Urie) began planning the wedding of the millennium, but after she walked down the aisle, Bradford died at the altar.

Meanwhile, Betty's personal life became even more complicated as former flame Henry (Christopher Gorham_ abruptly returned to Mode in order to earn money (and get medical insurance) for his pregnant girlfriend, Charlie (Jayma Mays). Betty had a hard time dealing with the heartbreak of seeing the guy she really loves (but can't have) every day in the elevator? Betty, then met a a new man on the Mode scene, Gio (Freddy Rodriguez), the sandwich cart guy, who both irritates and fascinates Betty.

In other Mode and Meade developments, Daniel's sister (formerly brother) Alexis Meade (Rebecca Romign) dealt with the consequences of faking her death and getting a sex change. Claire Meade (Judith Light), Daniel & Alexis' mother, was MIA after breaking out of prison, where she was serving time for the murder of legendary Mode editrix, Fey Sommers. Claire's family had no idea where she was hiding, but she knew their every move -- and vowed to stop Wilhelmina from marrying Bradford. But Wilhelmina had bigger plans up her sleeves. She was able to freeze some of Bradford's sperm and eventually got pregnant through artificial insemination in order to gain control of Mode.

Fey may be gone, but she's not forgotten. Mode's receptionist, Amanda (Becki Newton) was reeling from the revelation the fashion icon was her mother. With her BFF Marc's help, she sets out to claim her rightful place in fashion society... and to find out her father's identity. Away from the office, Betty continued to help her family through the many changes they faced, including the sudden death of Hilda's love and Justin's dad, Santos (Kevin Alejandro). Betty sold herself to Willie's secrecy in order to gain her assistance with getting her father, Ignacio (Tony Plana) back into the United States after getting stranded in Mexico for having improper visas.

This season, Betty will make her decision between Henry and Gio, but she will soon be distracted with the introduction of a new love interest, Jesse (Val Emmich) who will be Betty's next door neighbor her new home. Willie and Bradford's baby will be born and she will pursue her goal to take control of Mode, which will cause a major fallout between Claire and Alexis. Lindsay Lohan will join the cast as Kimmie in recurring role. She is an ex-high school colleague of Betty with a great amount of dislike towards Betty. Kimmie is the manager of a fast-food restaurant, where Ignacio works. Plus, Hilda will gain a love interest when Eddie Cibrian joins the cast as Justin's physical education teacher.

There will be plenty of juicy story lines, great humor and colorful "costumes" this year on Ugly Betty.

Ugly Betty is based on "Yo Soy Betty La Fea", the groundbreaking Colombian telenovela that became an international phenomenon.

So "Arriba, Arriba" get your favorite snack and watch Ugly Betty this and every Thursday.

Daniel Zueras: Bi-Sexual Performer?

Rarely do we have musical performers in the US that record bi-sexual risque videos to accompany their music singles. Well in Europe, things are quite different. A prime example is one of Spain's latest sensations, Daniel Zueras.

Daniel released last year his single "No Quiero Enamorarme" (I Don't Want to Fall in Love) which features a dream sequence of him involved in a bi-sexual encounter with a gorgeous man and his beautiful girl.

Born in Zaragoza, Spain on November 13, 1980, Daniel showed an interest in music and decided to study music theory and piano from his childhood. He proceeded to pursue his dreams and in 2006, he competed in "Operacion Triunfo", Spain's answer to "American Idol". He was one of the top 20 finalists that season and ended in second place behind winner, Lorena Gomez.

After his success at "Operacion Triumfo", he released his first studio CD in 2007 titled "Siempre Sale El Sol" (The Sun Always Rises) which became an instant hit in Spain and throughout Europe. Americans know very little about Daniel as his CD has yet to be released in our market, but I am pleased to share it with you compliments of YouTube.

Dancing with the Stars Results - Tuesday

SPOILER ALERT

If you have not yet seen the Tuesday night result show of "Dancing with the Stars", you may want to stop reading right now.

Okay, well I guess you are interested in finding out who was the first couple eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars". In the first of two eliminations on the first week of season seven, the dance couple with the lowest votes and eliminated was...

Jeffrey Ross (Comedian) and his dance partner, Edyta Sliwinska.

Clay Aiken is Gay!

After many years of speculations and rumors about Clay Aiken's sexuality, he has finally made the decision to "come out" and share with the news in the forthcoming issue of People magazine.

This afternoon (Tuesday, September 23rd) the forthcoming People magazine, with Clay Aiken as the cover story, was posted on perezhilton.com. The covers shows a picture of Aiken with his new son, Parker Foster, and the headlines "Yes, I'm Gay!'. It continues to state on the cover that "The Idol star opens up about his emotional decision to come out: I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things."

Representatives for People are not confirming or denying the accuracy of this story. The are only saying "We can confirm that Clay Aiken and his son are featured on the next issue of People".

The news comes just weeks after the birth of Parker Foster Aiken, whom the singer has said he intends to raise with the child's mother, his friend and musical producer Jaymes Foster. Clay and Jaymes met while he was a contestant on "American Idol". Parker was conceived by artificial insemination.

Aiken has been avoiding answering questions about his sexuality since he competed on "American Idol". In 2006, Diane Sawyer interviewed him and tried to address the topic of his sexuality. He called her "rude for asking" and proceeded to stated that he did not understand why it was any of her business.

For a complete story on Clay Aiken's upcoming cover on People, please visit www.people.com at 7 am tomorrow (Wednesday, September 24th).

My "Top TV Pick" for today is: THE MENTALIST

It stars Golden Globe Award nominee Simon Baker as Patrick Jane, an independent consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI), who has a remarkable track record for solving serious crimes by using his razor sharp skills of observation.

Within the Bureau, Jane is notorious for his blatant lack of protocol and his semi-celebrity past as a psychic medium, whose paranormal abilities he now admits he feigned. Jane's role in cracking a series of tough high-profile cases is greatly valued by his fellow agents. However, no-nonsense Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon openly resists having Jane in her unit and alternates between reluctantly acknowledging Jane's usefulness and blasting him for his theatrics, narcissism and dangerous lack of boundaries.

Lisbon's team includes agents Kimball Cho, Wayne Rigsby and rookie member Grace Van Pelt, who all think Jane's a loose cannon but admire his charm and knack for clearing cases.

Every once in a while a singer hits our radio airwaves that intrigues me with their very distinctive voice to wonder "who is she (or he)?". Well, about 2 years ago this happened to me when I first heard "Pon de Replay" and ever since then, I have fallen for the beautiful voice of Rihanna.
Rihanna was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on February 20, 1988 in Saint Michael, Barbados to Ronald and Monica Fenty. She is the oldest of three children with two younger brothers, Rorrey and Rajad Fenty. She is a singer, model and fashion designer.

Rihanna is the second artist, and first female, from Barbados to have received a Grammy Award (the first being Jimmy Senya Haynes.

Rihanna is currently signed to the Def Jam Recordings label and has attained four Billboard Hot 100 number ones thus far with "SOS", "Umbrella", "Take a Bow", and most recently "Disturbia", tying her with Mariah Carey and Beyonce as the female solo artist with the most number ones this decade.

Rihanna's latest single "Disturbia" - compliments of: You Tube

Rihanna came to fame in 2005 with the release of her debut album "Music of the Sun", which featured her breakthrough single "Pon de Replay". Less than a year later, she released "A Girl Like Me" which included her first number one single, "SOS".

In 2007, Rihanna released her third studio album "Good Girl Gone Bad". This album has been her most successful with six hit singles including four worldwide number ones including "Umbrella", "Don't Stop the Music", "Take A Bow" and most recently, "Disturbia".

She recently released her "Good Girl Gone Bad Live" concert tour on DVD in Europe, which will be available in the states next month.

Rihanna is here to entertain us for many years to come.

George Michael...Arrested, Again!

George Michael Arrested For Drug Possession In Public Bathroom. Singer will not face charges over possession of crack cocaine and marijuana.

British singer George Michael was arrested on drug-possession charges Friday in a public bathroom near his home in North London, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The newspaper reported that police officers — responding to a tip from a lavatory attendant — caught Michael, 45, using a "small amount" of crack cocaine and marijuana in a public restroom. He was taken to a North London police station where he received a cautionary warning and was released after he accepted responsibility for carrying the drugs.

"The caution was [issued] for the possession of Class A and Class C drugs, cocaine and cannabis," a spokesperson for Scotland Yard told the Telegraph. "He was released and no further action will be taken."

The arrest was just the latest in a string of drug (and public restroom)-related incidents involving the singer. In 1998, he was famously arrested outside the men's room at the Will Rogers Memorial Park in Beverly Hills, California, and charged with "engaging in a lewd act."
He pleaded no contest to the charge, and performed 80 hours of community service. In February 2006, he was arrested in London and charged with possession of Class C drugs, after police found him slumped over in a car. In May of that same year, he was again found passed out in a vehicle, and when he was awoken by a member of the public, he drove off, hitting a traffic divider. In October of 2006, he was found unconscious in his Mercedes-Benz, taken to the hospital and then charged with possession of marijuana. The following May, he pled guilty to driving while unfit through drugs, and was banned from driving for two years.

Michael admitted last year that he was addicted to prescription drugs, blaming his behavior on a "self-destructive" impulse brought on by the death of his mother a decade ago.

Attempts to reach Michael's label, Epic, for comment were unsuccessful at press time.

Windows of the World: Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs

Pikes Peak is a mountain in the front range of the Rocky Mountains, 10 miles west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was named after Zebulon Pike, an explorer who led an expedition to the southern Colorado area in 1806.

At 14,110 feet, it is one of Colorado's 54 "fourteeners" (a mountain that exceeds 14,000 feet above sea level).
Drivers race up the mountain in a famous annual race called the "Pikes Peak International Hill Climb". An upper portion of Pikes Peak has been designated a National Historic Landmark.

Visitors to Pikes Peak can reach the "top of the world" summit by either taking a trip up on the Cog train or driving the narrow roads. Of course, you can always hike it!

On a clear day, you can see Pikes Peak from Denver, which is 60 miles Northeast from it, and from locations near the Kansas border.

Where Are They Now?

Ever wondered where your favorite stars of "yester-year" are today? Well, here's the place where you will know on their current whereabouts.

I will start my first installment of "Where Are They Now?" with one of my all-time favorite TV star of the 70s, Farrah Fawcett.

As a young boy I always stayed up on Wednesday nights to watch "three little girls who went to the police academy" and that "were each assigned very hazardous duties". Watching Charlie's Angels and his three beauties Jill Munroe (Farrah Fawcett-Majors), Kelly Garrett (Jacklyn Smith) and Sabrina Duncan (Kate Jackson) was a weekly ritual for me.

I watched all six seasons of "Jiggle TV" from the early stages, all the way through the introduction of three other angels: Kris Munroe (Cheryl Ladd), Tiffany Welles (Shelley Hack) and Julie Rogers (Tanya Roberts) throughout the six seasons. But, my favorite was always...Farrah Fawcett Majors. I had every poster, picture and even the famous pillow during my adolescences of my favorite angel.

Farrah went on to star in several movies including: Logan's Run, Somebody Killed Her Husband, Extremities, and many more, but her "angel years" were the most memorable. After her marriage with Lee Majors ended, Farrah went on to date another famous star of the 70s, Ryan O'Neal and had a son with him (Redmond), but never decided to marry him.

In recent years, Farrah has been in the spotlight for different and unfortunate reasons. On October 2006, it was revealed that Fawcett had anal cancer, and was undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy and surgery. By her 60th birthday in February 2007, the Associated Press reported that Farrah was cancer free. Unfortunately, three months later in May 2007, it was reported that a malignant polyp was found in the area where Fawcett had been treated for the initial cancer. Doctors contemplated whether to implant a radiation seeder (which differs from conventional radiation and is used to treat other types of cancer). Farrah however, chose to travel to Germany for cancer treatment not available in the U.S.

Sources now say that the former angel is looking tanned and in great shape, and is not considering any more treatments.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to a true angel...Farrah Fawcett.

And the Winner is...

Well, season 10 of my favorite reality show...

has come to an end.
And the winner of Big Brother 10 is... Dan Gheesling.

Thanks to CBS for another great season of Big Brother. Now, we must wait until next Summer for Big Brother 11.

Fall TV Season

The 2008/2009 Fall TV Season is Here!

As a self-classified "couch potato" my favorite TV time has arrived. I always look forward to the arrival of May when the major TV networks announce their new Fall Season TV shows and then I wait in great anticipation until September and October when the new (and returning favorites) premiere.

This fall, a total of 102 new shows will join the TV airwaves and 110 return to your "TV Tube". During the next few weeks, I will be sharing with you reviews on my favorite new and returning TV series.

Here's my "Top TV Pick" for today:

HOUSE

Tuesdays at 8:00 pm ET (7:00 pm CT) on FOX

This amazing drama, now on it's 5th Season, stars Hugh Laurie as House (Gregory House, MD), a maverick medical genius who heads a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey.

Season 5 picks up a few months after House's best buddy's girlfriend, Amber (Anne Dudek) died trying to retrieve a drunken House, causing Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) to question his ties to the hospital and to House.

If you enjoy drama, with a twist, then House will satisfy your needs.

Big Brother 10: Finale Tonight!

Finale Night!

Well, Big Brother 10 (my ultimate reality show addiction) comes to an end tonight with "The Renegades" Dan Gheesling and Robert (Memphis) Garrett as the Final Two. This has been another great Big Brother season with plenty of backstabbing, drama, showmance, bitchy attitudes, and beautiful houseguests.

So, who will win the $500,000 grand prize?

Will it be Dan the 25-year old Catholic School teacher from Dearborn, Michigan or Memphis the 25-year old Mixologist from Los Angeles, California?

In my opinion, Dan played a great game and used everyone to make it to the Final Two, however my choice is Memphis who stayed "under the radar" most the season and rode on Dan's wings all the way to the end.

Plus, which jury member will win the America's Choice $25,000 prize? I have voted for Libra...who was my original favorite to win this season's top prize.
Watch CBS tonight at 9:00 pm ET (8:00 pm CT) and see how is the Top Houseguest for Big Brother 10.
