Apple's CEO Steve Job on Leave of Absence Again

Apple CEO Steve Jobs is taking another leave of absence in order to focus on his health, CNN reports.

It has been a year and a half since Jobs returned from his previous leave, which ran from January-June 2009, and during which time he received a liver transplant.

Apple’s COO, Tim Cook, will take the reins of the company in the interim, and it is uncertain how long it may be until Jobs returns to Cupertino.

In a letter to his employees announcing the leave, Jobs wrote, “I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy.”
