Now that investigators have returned samples from Michael Jackson's body to his family, the pop singer is ready to finally rest in peace.
"Forest Lawn is the top choice – near Michael Jackson's grandmother," says a source close to the family.
For six weeks, Jackson's body has been temporarily interred at Forest Lawn Memorial-Park and Mortuary in the Hollywood Hills.
Some of the delay in burying Jackson was due to the coroner's investigation, which had the family waiting for officials to return samples from the singer's brain, says the source.
But now that everything has been returned, the family can prepare for Jackson's burial, which will happen "very soon," says another source close to the family.
Before burial arrangements for Jackson can be made, the family will, once again, have to get together. As of now, siblings Tito and Janet and their father Joe Jackson are out of town, says the source.
