Madonna has been working on a special choreographed dance number as a tribute to Michael Jackson, who died in Los Angeles a week ago at the age of 50.
She unveiled the special performance on Saturday night in London at O2 Arena, the same venue where the King of Pop would have performed his comeback tour of 50 concerts beginning July 13, 2009.
An impersonator came on stage wearing a sequined jacket, white t-shirt, single white glove and white socks. He performed Jackson’s signature dance moves including the Moonwalk - though he did not sing.
Madonna has extended her highly successful Sticky & Sweet Tour, with a new round of appearances throughout Europe which kicked off on July 4th.
The special number was reportedly a huge hit with Madge’s fans and is likely to be repeated for the duration of her tour engagements.
