Mariela Castro, the daughter of Cuba’s President Raul Castro, led thousands of citizens in a rally on Saturday to promote LGBT rights.Mariela, who is the director of the Cuban Sex Education Center, kicked off a program of events promoting respect and tolerance of Cuba’s LGBT community during a carnival-style festival held in central Havana.
Castro has stated she wants, “all Cuban people to participate so that the revolution can be deeper and include all the needs of the human being.”
