Gerard Butler has been slapped with a charge of misdemeanor battery after getting rough with a shutterbug last October.After attending a premiere of the ultra-glitzy and ultra-violent Guy Ritchie flick RocknRolla, Butler made an appearance at an after party at the Crown Bar in L.A. While heading towards his waiting car, Butler allegedly clocked a photographer several times in the face, busting the paparazzi's lip open. According to Butler's people, the photog had been following him all day, and had sped through two red lights, endangering pedestrians.
If found guilty of the charges, Butler could face up to six months in jail. There's a court appearance next month, but Butler won't be required to attend.
