Farrah Fawcett Thrilled By TV Special Success & Already Planning a Sequel

Farrah Fawcett, Ryan O'Neal, Alana Stewart and the actress' doctor were among the nine million Americans who tuned in to watch Farrah's Story on Friday night.

O'Neal told reporters on Friday he planned to wake his sedated companion for the two-hour TV special, which chronicled the former Charlie's Angels star's battle with anal cancer.

On Monday, best friend Stewart revealed she and Fawcett's doctor joined the actress for the home screening, stating, "It was very bitter sweet for her. It brought up a lot of memories of this whole two year journey; she cried in a number of places - we all did.

"At the end of it, I said, 'Well, did you like it?' and she said, 'I liked it very, very, very, very, very much...' She was very moved by it."

Stewart, who shot much of the home video footage featured in the documentary, admits Fawcett was thrilled the TV special was a hit.

She adds, "Ryan went in (the next morning) and he told that there was just an amazing response to the show and she said, 'Yeah, what were the numbers?' and then she smiled and she said, 'That's great, I like that.'"

Farrah is already filming a follow up to her emotional cancer documentary.

Fawcett's longterm companion Ryan O'Neal now insists the film was just the first instalment of a series of documentaries about the ailing star. He reveals cameras are still rolling on her.

He says, “We haven’t stopped filming and we’re going to make a second instalment of her life eventually."

In an interview with the Today Show in America on Monday, O'Neal also revealed how Fawcett responded to the documentary when he sat down to watch it with her.

He said, "When we began watching it on Friday night, she had a very low pulse. It kept going up and up and up. It was wonderful... We’re going to have to show her one of her films every night."
