Shrek Stomps All Over Sex At U.S. Box Office

Shrek Forever After has slain the girls from Sex And The City 2 to score a second week at number one in the battle of the U.S. box office.

The animated 3D movie reigned supreme with takings of $43.3 million, beating Sex and the City 2's opening gross of $32.1 million, based on ticket sales over the three-day weekend.

The romantic comedy, starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall, grossed an extra $14.2 million from midnight screenings on Wednesday night and showings on Thursday to bring its total up to $46.3 million.

However, the additional sales are not included in the chart tallies for America's Memorial Day weekend and the grand total still falls short of the $56.8 million the original debuted with in 2008.

Jake Gyllenhaal's Disney action/adventure Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time enters at three with $30.1 million, while Iron Man 2 slips to fourth position and Robin Hood rounds out the new top five at five.

Meet the Guy Who Puts the Sexy in Sex and the City 2 - Noah Mills

In the series' grand tradition of introducing man candy to the world, Sex and the City 2 delivers another hunk in the form of model turned actor, Noah Mills.

You can even call him a supermodel: The Canadian-born Mills, 27, has been a fixture on the runways for years and is currently in campaigns for Michael Kors, Gap, Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger.

The movie opens today, but here's a sneak peek at Mills – five things you need to know about the new hottie in the city:

1. He got to keep his clothes on in the audition.
"I was surprised they didn't ask me to strip down," he says. Aware that much of his modeling work leaves little to the imagination, he adds, "I guess they could research that stuff."

2. He loves animals.
"As a child, I was always interested in animals," says Mills. If he weren't acting or modeling, he says he'd be out in the wild. "I always felt like working for National Geographic would be incredible."

3. He does indeed love the city.
He was born in Toronto and raised in Baltimore, but his new home of New York City is where his heart is. "I've had an intense history with New York," says Mills. "No matter how you change, you can find what you like there."

4. He has a thing for Penélope Cruz.
She's his dream costar. "I find her so attractive aesthetically and her vulnerability," says Mills. "I think she's a great actress."

5. He'd like to thank Kim Cattrall.
After a long day of shooting a scene with Mills – they'd started at 3 p.m. and were wrapping at 8 a.m. – Cattrall was told she wasn't needed to finish his shots. "She demanded to stay and read with me for my close-up. I'll never forget that," says Mills. "Kim was a great acting partner."

Gilles Marini's Sex Life Keeps Wife Laughing

He made women everywhere swoon as Samantha's well endowed, sex-crazed neighbor in the 2008 feature version of Sex In the City so at home, it's no surprise that French actor Gilles Marini keeps it just as steamy.

"I'm always like, 'Are the kids sleeping yet?' " the sexy star (and father of two) said at Thursday's Capcom Launch of Lost Planet 2. "The honeymoon stage has never ended for us, and for that I am very lucky … Every time I go to bed with my wife, I feel like it's the same as the first few months we are together."

Though his naked on-screen romps have resulted in a flood of attention from female admirers, Marini, 34, says Carole, his wife of 11 years, "is laughing all the time."

In fact, one recent incident involved two women who bet on whether or not Marini was circumcised.

"I didn't go for it, but I promised them that it was no CGI effect. It was actually me," he says, with a laugh.

But, notes the actor, there are many advantages to these sometimes-awkward female encounters.

For one, it results in "more sex with my wife," he insists. "It has been 11 years that we've been together, and I went to bed at 3 in the morning last night," he says. "So it's been good!"

John Corbett Hearing Wedding Bells

Sex & The City hunk John Corbett is considering marriage to his longtime partner Bo Derek.

The unmarried actor has been with the sexy star of the movie "10" for eight years and admits, "It's the longest relationship I've been in." Now he's beginning to think of taking it to the next level.

He says, "I might do that one day... My gal was married for 25 years before her husband passed. She got married at 18... and they had a long life together, so I think, from her perspective, it's not on the top of her list to get done.

"I think it's (marriage) an important commitment. I probably will make it one day. I'm not afraid of it; it just hasn't come down the pipes yet."

Happy Birthday to Cynthia Nixon

Cynthia Nixon is one of those amazing people who seems to just get better with age.

The Tony, Grammy and two-time Emmy winning actress turns 44 today and is at the peak of her profession with acclaimed roles on stage, television and movies.

She, of course, is best known for her role as Miranda on Sex and the City and reunites next month with her TV co-stars for the second feature film based on the much-loved series.

She had spent more than a decade with the man who is the father of her two children but she came out publicly in 2006 after falling in love with activist Christine Marinoni.

She has become an articulate and fearless voice for LGBT equality most recently making a video for Fight Back New York which seeks to vote out of office state senators who voted against same-sex legislation last

Movie Trailer: "Sex and the City 2"

Is this Sex and the City or Sex and the Desert?

The first teaser trailer for Sex and the City 2 hit the internet this week, and it looks like the girls will be roaming far from the bright lights of New York in the sequel, which opens this spring.

The trailer’s opening scenes show Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda happily in their element, flitting around New York to the tune of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ Gotham anthem, “Empire State of Mind.” But things are about to change.

“It’s been two years,” Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie says in a voiceover. “And in two years, amazing things can happen. Things you thought would never happen in a million years. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, it hits you. You haven’t seen anything yet.”

Suddenly, the scene shifts to a dusty foreign land — reportedly, Morocco — as the ladies are seen wafting through deserts on camels and on foot (in designer sandals, no doubt). “Sometimes, you just have to get away with the girls,” Carrie explains.

To learn more, you’ll have to wait for the next trailer — or the movie itself, which opens May 28.

Stars Reveal Sex and the City Wedding Scene Details

Fans have finally learned what the '80s outfits are all about in the upcoming Sex and the City sequel – but what's the scoop on the wedding scene being buzzed about? Are the rumors true that Stanford Blatch and Anthony Marantino are tying the knot?

"We're filming. I can tell you that. I don't want to get sued," Willie Garson, who plays Blatch, said Wednesday in New York at the Vanity Fair party celebrating his new show, White Collar, premiering on USA Friday.

Newcomer Nicholas Rodriguez, who plays a character "crucial" to the scene – though he can't reveal details of his role – confirms that there will be an extravagant wedding taking place in Connecticut.

"We shot for two weeks. It's a ginormous scene with a huge budget, and everybody is pretty much in it ... all of the girls and their spouses, Willie and Mario [Cantone], and another big surprise cameo, Liza Minnelli," Rodriguez says.

Surprise Serenade

Minnelli, who is a guest at the movie wedding, was so excited to be a part of the film that she serenaded the cast, according to Rodriguez.

"After the shoot, she said, 'I would like to have everyone's attention,' and they pulled out a stool for her at the piano and gave her a mic and she sang a favorite of her mother, Judy Garland. She said, 'Thank you for letting me play with you guys,'" says Rodriguez. "It was so heartfelt and genuine. I got choked up and several people were sobbing like a baby, but I'm not going to name names because he might be really embarrassed."

In true Sex and the City form, stylist Patricia Field has the ladies looking fierce. Rodriguez says their grand entrance in the scene is a "wow factor."

"When Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) comes out in the first outfit, you just have to stare at her. She's hot!" he says.

Besides the fabulous fashion, Rodriguez says the cast's chemistry is what makes Sex and the City really tick.

"The ladies have this insane amount of chemistry – not only with each other – but with their spouses as well. Watching Chris Noth and Sarah Jessica work, you're like, 'Oh they flirt just as much off camera as they do on.' They're the same from action to cut as they are from cut to action and it's fun," he concludes.

Spoiler Alert! Sex and the City Mysteries Revealed

Eighties outfits? Appearances by Penélope Cruz, Miley Cyrus and Liza Minnelli?

Little by little, the secrets of the sequel to the Sex and the City movie are leaking out.

"It's Star Wars for women all over the world," Field joked at the 2009 Angel Ball for cancer research on Tuesday in New York City.

Warning: Don't read any further if you don't want to learn titillating details about the movie.

So what was the real story behind those '80s outfits that Sarah Jessica Parker and her three pals were dressed in – and widely seen in photos from a shoot on the streets of the Big Apple?

Flashback Time

"It was in the beginning of the movie," Field explained. "Carrie was waiting to meet her girlfriends and she was thinking about when she first moved to New York in the '80s and how she met Samantha and Charlotte. They're all, in real time, meeting to go shopping. And in her flashback time, she is thinking of when she first met each one of them."

What's with the guest appearances by Cruz, Minnelli and Cyrus? Cyrus recently filmed a scene with Kim Cattrall, where the two ostensibly showed up to a movie premiere in matching outfits.

"That's in the story line, but I'm not going to tell that one," Field teases. "But, it's fun. Miley's a very good character. She's a really nice girl. She's happy and with it! She's a very cool girl."

Road to Morocco

What about the films' increasingly exotic locales? After all, in the first movie, Carrie and friends fled Gotham for Mexico after Mr. Big stood her up at the altar. The new movie doesn't disappoint, Field promises, saying they'll be visiting Morocco.

"[We're shooting] there for about six weeks," she said. "You'll probably see belly dancers and Bedouins!"

But Field zips her lip when it comes to the biggest question of all: Will Carrie be expecting a baby?

"I don't know," she says. "You're going to have to see for yourself because then what's the fun?"

Katie Holmes Rumored for Sex And The City

Katie Holmes has been tipped for a role in the next Sex And The City movie, playing a feisty businesswoman in the upcoming sequel.

Film bosses are currently putting together a follow-up to the hit 2008 picture, which was based on the long running TV show.

Shooting is expected to get underway later this year and Holmes is rumored to be in negotiations to join the cast, as a rival to Kim Cattrall's maneating character Samantha.

A source stated, "The character they want her to play is a really ballsy, high-powered company executive who tangles with Samantha."

The film is slated for a May 2010 release.

Victoria Beckham in Sex and the City Sequel

Victoria Beckham has accepted a cameo role in the upcoming Sex and the City sequel. The new film project will start shooting on location in New York City in August.

Beckham was offered a walk-on role in the first movie but had to turn it down because she was heavily involved in her Spice Girls Tour. She was up for another opportunity when the sequel was announced and has even taken some acting lessons in anticipation.

Beckham made an appearance on season two of Ugly Betty and also appeared as a guest judge on Project Runway.

The original four cast members, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, have all completed their contract negotiations, reportedly for a substantially better payday than they received for their work in the first film.

Noth recently revealed he was still "in negotiations" with producers to reprise his role, even though filming on the sequel started in March.

But his co-star and on-screen partner Sarah Jessica Parker tells E! News the actor will definitely be back to play her husband on the big screen.

The actor has admitted he has big plans for his character when he does reprise his role: "I want him to travel the world. I think he and (Parker's character) Carrie (Bradshaw) should go to Bali."

But Parker insists producers have yet to tell the pair how the plot will unfold.
