LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian Are Engaged

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are making it official.

"Yes, they were engaged over the holidays and are very happy," her rep has confirmed.

A source adds that the couple, who spent Christmas at home in Los Angeles, "had family and close friends in town who helped them celebrate."

Rimes, 28, and Cibrian, 37, were spotted on a Malibu beach on Monday, where she was wearing a new engagement ring.

The platinum sparkler features a 5-carat oval diamond set in rose gold fleur-de-lis connected to the band, according to a source.

"The couple wanted an antique feel, but a new ring," says the source, who adds that Rimes and Cibrian designed the ring together with the actor's childhood friend Brent Polacheck at Polacheck Jewelers.

On Monday afternoon, Rimes thanked fans for their support, writing on Twitter, "Thank you for all your well wishes!! We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future. It's been an incredible last few days, I was shocked!!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love."

Road to Engagement

In November, engagement rumors kicked into high gear after the couple posted a photo on Twitter which showed Cibrian on bended knee holding Rimes's hand. Later that month, Rimes slammed new reports of an impending wedding as "150 percent untrue."

Rimes and Cibrian met while filming the Lifetime original movie Northern Lights at a time when they were both married to other people. The singer has talked openly about the difficulty of falling in love with Cibrian and ending her marriage to Dean Sheremet.

"We make mistakes and we learn from them, but we're human. We fell in love," she said in November of Cibrian. "We're really happy in what we feel privately."

The singer's divorce from Sheremet was finalized in June. Sheremet himself got engaged in November and Rimes congratulated him in a Tweet, wishing him "a life full of happiness."

When she marries, Rimes will officially become stepmother to Cibrian's two children, Mason, 7, and Jake, 3. (Cibrian shares custody with his ex, model Brandi Glanville.)

Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Engaged!

The wait is over: Prince William and Kate Middleton, having been a couple on and off for eight years, are finally set to wed, they have announced.

While no date has been revealed, it is thought the ceremony will be held in a few months and be the biggest since William's mother, Diana, married Prince Charles.

"Everyone is absolutely delighted. He has never had eyes for any other woman since Kate came on the scene," says an old friend. "She is going to make a wonderful wife, a wonderful princess."

Both the future bride and groom are 28.

The Official Statement

The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.

The wedding will take place in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.

Prince William and Miss Middleton became engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya. Prince William has informed The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton's father.

Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.

LeAnn Rimes Denies Engagement to Eddie Cibrian

LeAnn Rimes is outraged with what she calls false reports about her impending engagement to boyfriend Eddie Cibrian, and she's not going to take it anymore.

"Ok, I've about had it with the lack of 'reporting'" in the media, Rimes, 28, writes in an extended Tweet Friday that calls the online story "150 percent untrue."

"Eddie and I are beyond happy and in love and look forward to one day sharing such private news with you all," she writes. "Hopefully will be able to enjoy it privately and share it with our family and friend's before the world knows."

Rimes signs off with a rumor of her own: "I'M PREGNANT TOO!!! LOL," she writes, and finishes with, "Thanks to all of our wonderful fans for the premature congats, but for now, let's all be happy we're happy and still and will remain together! Eddie and I felt we couldn't let this rumor go on any longer."

Rumors kicked into high gear earlier this week after the couple posted a Halloween photo in which Cibrian was on bended knee. The couple later said it was a joke.

True Blood's Joe Manganiello is Engaged

Sorry friends, Joe Manganiello is off the market.

While on vacation in Italy the True Blood heartthrob, 33, popped the question to his girlfriend, actress/model Audra Marie.

Manganiello, who plays werewolf Alcide Herveaux on the HBO drama, and Marie met at a 2009 Super Bowl party, but it was anything but love at first sight.

"She wouldn't go out with me for six months," Manganiello told People magazine in September. "We started dating a few months before I got cast [on True Blood]."

Manganiello says Marie is "a great dresser. She's gorgeous, and she's tall. And she's sweet ... nice. And she makes crazy English breakfasts."

Marie, meanwhile, says her man’s most appealing qualities are his "sense of humor, his work ethic and how humble he is with everything that has gone on."

The pair have not yet set a wedding date.

Actress America Ferrera is engaged to marry longtime boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams, her rep confirms to People Magazine.

Ferrera, 26, first met Williams at the University of Southern California when he cast her in his student film.

On Wednesday, the actress sported her new diamond on the red carpet at the Edinburgh Film Festival screening of The Illusionist in Scotland.

Elizabeth Taylor is Engaged

Dame Elizabeth Taylor is to wed for a ninth time.

Sources claim the 78-year-old movie icon and her longtime companion Jason Winters, 49, recently became engaged.

An insider tells www.UsMagazine.com, "It's no secret that they've been together forever and are in love... Right now they are keeping it between them."

Taylor has often spoken publicly about her feelings for Winters, who recently became Janet Jackson's manager - she recently told gossip columnist Liz Smith that her "friend" was "one of the most wonderful men I've ever known".

Taylor;s last union, to construction worker Larry Fortensky, ended in 1996.

Blushing Simon Cowell Sort of Confirms He's Engaged

The famously cantankerous American Idol judge squirmed in his seat on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday as the host dissected reports of Cowell's engagement to Idol makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy.

"Are rumors you're engaged true?" Leno asked. Cowell took a moment and responded carefully, "Are they true? Well, I do have somebody in my life now, Jay, yes. And I kinda made a decision this year to make somebody happy."

As the audience cheered, Leno asked about the huge ring Hussainy has been sporting on her left hand.

"I thought she broke her arm," Leno joked. Cowell responded, "It's quite a big one, yes."

When Leno called Cowell out for turning red, Cowell confessed, "I am blushing." Leno asked, "Where did you, or may have, gotten engaged?" Cowell said, "I find this very uncomfortable. I was asleep, I think. No, look, I bought her the ring in London."

Later, Leno spotted Hussainy, 36, in the audience and invited her to come on stage to join Cowell, 50. The pair looked giddy and comfortable with each other, said a witness.

As Cowell and Leno joked about what role, if any, Leno would have in Cowell's future wedding – Cowell suggested Leno could be a flower girl – Cowell said that he would want a wedding "in the next 10 years" and on the subject of having children, added, "I'm kind of torn because I'm a bit too old to have kids, but then again I think it would be important to have a lot of me's around in the future."

Simon Cowell is Getting Married

This may come as a shocker to many American Idol rejects, but Simon Cowell is now happier than he's been in years.

And now we know why. He's engaged to the show's makeup artist, Mezghan Hussainy, a source who knows the couple said during a recent interview.

Hussainy, 36, has been sporting a large diamond ring on her left hand lately, reigniting speculation that the fickle judge had finally found his match.

Cowell, 50, and Hussainy "are very suited," Cowell's U.K. rep Max Clifford said last week. "She is someone who is independent and says what she thinks and feels, and he likes that. He's probably the happiest I have ever known him in the nine years I've been working with him."

Added Clifford, "They have known each other for years. They've actually been going out together for the last year. She knows him; she's been around him. So, she knows the person he is, and he knows the person she is. That's why it works so well."

Carrie Underwood Gets Engaged!

"I'm happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn't be happier," her rep reported. "No wedding date has been set at this time."

The Ottawa Senators player spoke about the happy event on Monday, according to the Toronto Sun.

"It's true," he is quoted as saying. "We're both obviously excited and very happy."

Fisher, 29, reportedly proposed at his home Sunday afternoon and then sent messages to his friends with the good news later that day.

Underwood, 26, and Fisher have kept their year-long relationship mostly under the radar, but Underwood declared her love for Fisher in the liner notes of her new album, Play On.

"I love you so much!" she wrote. "You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day."

Are Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem Engaged?

According to several online reports, Cruz and her boyfriend, fellow Spanish actor Javier Bardem, are engaged. Cruz's rep had no comment and Bardem's rep said, "I really don't know, but would not be able to say anything even if I did."

The couple – who first met while filming Jamon, Jamon in 1992, one of Cruz's first films, before working together again in 2008's Vicky Christina Barcelona – have kept a low profile during their 2-year romance, choosing not to walk red carpets together, evading the paparazzi and remaining extremely tight-lipped about one another in the press.

"I don't talk about that," she told reporters in July 2007, at the time that Cruz, 35, and Bardem, 40, were rumored to be together. "He's a friend and the best actor in the world."

For Cruz walking down the aisle hasn't exactly been on her radar. In fact, the Academy Award-winning actress has spoken out against it.

"I don't know if I believe in marriage," she told U.K. magazine Psychologies in its August issue. "I believe in family, love and children."

Though she's been vocal about wanting kids, Cruz was adamant she was not expecting a child after tabloids and blogs were abuzz with speculation last month.

"I start getting some presents from friends saying, 'Congratulations, you're pregnant.' And I say, 'No, I'm not, so return the presents,'" she told USA Today.

But when she does start a family, Cruz says she will probably turn to adoption.

"Of course I want to have kids," she told the Spanish edition of Marie Claire in its April 2007 issue. "I want to have my own kids, but also adopt. For a while I've had the feeling that my life wont be complete if I don't adopt."

Chris Noth is Engaged!

Sex and the City star Chris Noth and his longtime girlfriend, actress Tara Wilson, are engaged, Entertainment Tonight Canada is reporting.

Noth, 54, broke the news to the show Sunday during an interview at the London, Ontario, outpost of Once Upon A Tea Cup, a teahouse of which he and Canadian-born Wilson, 27, are partners.

The couple, who met when Wilson worked at Noth's New York City bar, the Cutting Room, have a son, Orion Christopher Noth, who turns two in January.

In mid-September, Noth denied a U.K. report that he and Wilson were engaged at the time.

A rep for Noth did not immediately return a request seeking comment.

Engaged: Andrew Shue and Today's Amy Robach!

Former Melrose Place heartthrob Andrew Shue and the Today show’s Amy Robach are engaged, a spokesperson for Today confirmed.

Both Shue and Robach are recently divorced, a source says. Shue, 42, had been married to floral designer Jennifer Hageney since 1994. Robach, 36, was married to Tim McIntosh. The source says both of them have been separated from their former spouses for about a year and started dating this spring after being set up by friends.

In April, Shue and Robach were spotted walking hand-in-hand on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, laughing and kissing.

The two were engaged last week, the source says. "They're both very happy."

A former Miss Georgia contestant, Robach is also a national correspondent for NBC Nightly News. Since his days on Melrose, Shue has co-founded the nonprofit foundation Do Something, an organization that encourages volunteerism, and the social networking site CafeMom.

Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer are Engaged!

It's true love for True Blood couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. The two are engaged to be married, reps for both actors on the HBO vampire series confirmed.

No further details were available.

Paquin, who plays telepathic Sookie Stackhouse on True Blood, is originally from New Zealand and won a 1994 Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as the precocious child in The Piano.

Moyer, from Essex, England, plays bloodsucking Bill Compton on the series. He also has two children from previous relationships: a son, Billy, born in 2000, and a daughter, Lilac, born in 2002.

Last month, Paquin, 27, said of her nude love scenes with Moyer, 39: "Obviously, if you're already with that person then you're not having to sort of get over the 'Wow, I'm naked with someone that I don't even know the middle name of!'"

For his part, Moyer has said of his lady love, "My girl is hardcore."
