Oprah Winfrey will fête the ten-year anniversary of her eponymous magazine with a special cover featuring the star in a glittering custom gown designed by Isaac Mizrahi.
Shot by photographer Ruven Afanador, the cover of O, the Oprah Magazine’s 10th anniversary issue in May features the media mogul posing with a towering, flower-bedecked cake, dressed in a sequined lilac dress with three-quarter sleeves that is a re-imagining of a spring 2010 Mizrahi look just for her.
“I wanted Oprah’s look to radiate celebration,” says O creative director Adam Glassman, who collaborated with the designer on Oprah’s cover look.
While the daytime talk show empress has announced the end of her show in 2011, fans will be pleased to know that the shoot ended with a toast from Oprah, proclaiming, “Here’s to the next ten years!”
