Courtney Love appeared on the Howard Stern Show yesterday and shared a juicy bit of gossip with the radio shock jock. She claims that she had an 8-month affair with Gavin Rossdale while he was in a relationship with Gwen Stefani.The Hole rocker told Stern that Gavin was “lovely” and though she knew he was with Gwen, she still had a “vision of marrying Gavin Rossdale”. She said, “We were like, ‘Let’s go spend our rock star money.’”
Love continued, “Everyone gave me so much s*** because Gavin sounded a lot like Kurt. But man, he was such an Adonis in his day! He got good in bed … something happened. Maybe Gwen taught him, for all I know.”
Stern asked, “You mean he was having sex with you while he was with her?” She replied, “Everyone … yeah … and a few other people. We didn’t have a lot of pressure on each other, but we did like each other quite a bit.”This isn’t the first ex-lover of Rossdale to come forward. British singer Marilyn, aka Peter Robinson, claims the pair had a 5-year relationship.
Gwen and Gavin exchanged wedding vows in 2002 and have two sons.
Courtney Love’s decision to change her name to Courtney Michelle was big news just a few days ago. Apparently it was just a momentary blip on the radar screen because her rep has since announced that the musician was only speaking “metaphorically” when she suggested that she was finished with the old moniker that “oppressed” her.
