Actress Brittany Murphy has Died at Age 32

TMZ is reporting that Brittany Murphy, the star of such films as Riding In Cars With Boys, Clueless, 8 Mile, Just Married, The Groomsmen and Uptown Girls went into full cardiac arrest this morning and could not be revived.

She was just 32 and had married screenwriter Simon Monjack two years ago.

Will update as more information becomes available.

Brittany got her start as a child actress landing a role at the age of nine in a production of Les Miserables. By 14, she was a regular on the short-lived TV series Drexell’s Class and Almost Home and had recurring roles on Party of Five, Sister, Sister and Boy Meets World.

Clueless was her big film break in 1995 and she followed it up with roles in Girl, Interrupted and Don’t Say a Word. Among her final roles was the lead in the television movies Tribute in which she played a former child star buys her grandmother’s house to rescue it from ruin then begins to have haunting dreams of her famous grandmother.
