Billboard Magazine Celebrates it's 50th Year

Recently (Volume 120, No. 38), the venerable music industry bible Billboard celebrates its 50th year of quantifying and qualifying the music industry. Their special “50th Anniversary Special Issue” is a must-have addition to any musicophile or chart student’s library. It’s a wealth of trivia, information and nostalgia.

In this special issue, Billboard released their list of The Hot 100’s hottest 100 songs of all times. The chart was tabulated based on all charting titles from August 1958 through July 2008.

Here are the top twenty singles of all-time (including artist, label, peak date and peak position):
