Rue McClanahan Recovering After Surgery

Former Golden Girls star Rue McClanahan is recovering after undergoing an emergency heart bypass, just days after her doctor spotted a problem during a routine medical examination.

The 75-year-old actress was hospitalised earlier this month after a physician noticed a problem with her heart while undergoing tests for a planned knee operation.

McClanahan, best known for her role as Blanche Devereaux on the hit series, apologised to fans for having to pull out of Golden: A Gala Tribute to Rue McClanahan at San Francisco's Castro Theatre on November 14th.

But despite insisting she just needed some "maintenance on the old ticker", the star was rushed into the operating room on Wednesday to undergo serious heart bypass surgery.

However, her pal Del Shores reveals the op went "very, very well," adding, "She's going to be great and up and entertaining us all very shortly."

In the upcoming flick, directed Guy Ritchie, Robert Downey Jr. plays Holmes as a brilliant, feisty – and ripped – detective on a mission to save England from his nemesis played by Mark Strong.

"Tomorrow, the world as you know it … will end," says a foreboding voice over from Strong.

"Well, there isn't any time to waste then," quips Holmes before leaping out a window.

Together, Holmes and his loyal colleague Watson (Jude Law) embark on a wild ride to thwart the evil plan.

The movie, also starring Rachel McAdams, hits theaters Christmas Day.

Eddie Cibrian Back With Ex-Mistress

The aspiring actress who warned country star Leann Rimes her new man would cheat on her is reportedly back in Eddie Cibrian's arms.

Pretty Scheana Marie Jancan exposed the TV hunk as a serial cheater in a recent issue of Life & Style magazine and now the same publication reports she's romancing the star again.

Jancan sensationally claimed she was part of a love square, which ended the TV star's marriage to Brandi Glanville. She told Life & Style she and Cibrian were romantically involved for three years during his marriage, but she had no idea he was cheating on her with country star and actress Rimes.

The two co-stars initially denied reports they were an item after surveillance cameras caught them enjoying an intimate night out together, but Rimes and Cibrian, who played lovers on TV movie Northern Lights, have since ended their marriages and gone public with their love for each other.

Jilted Jancan warned Rimes to be careful, telling her, "It's just a fling."

She added, "Eddie cheated on Brandi. He cheated on me. He's going to do it to LeAnn."

And the once-bitter ex, who blasted Cibrian for not officially ending their romance, is now reportedly back in his favour.

Life & Style reports the actor has recently started seeing the 24 year old again.

A source tells the publication, "He (Cibrian) told her (Jancan) he's only with LeAnn for the publicity and that he plans to end things with her soon.

"He has a friend drop him off at Scheana's apartment, where he'll usually spend about two hours. Then a friend picks him up... He's made it clear to Scheana that he wants to continue seeing her."

Star Sighting: Studded Star

Newly-single Adam Lambert hits the red carpet Tuesday night at the Los Angeles premiere of 2012. The singer's new single "Time for Miracles" is on the action-adventure flick's soundtrack, while his own debut album, For Your Entertainment, drops on November 23rd.

La Toya Jackson Scene Restored on Brüno DVD

Wunderbar!

Brüno, the preening, Austrian celebrity wannabe created by Sacha Baron Cohen, finally gets to meet singer La Toya Jackson when Brüno is released on DVD on November 17th.

After the sudden death of Michael Jackson, a scene in which Cohen, disguised as the flamboyant Brüno, conducts an outrageous interview with an unsuspecting La Toya was hastily cut from the film. The scene, removed before the theatrical release, earlier had been viewed by critics and test audiences.

In the 90-second comic scene, now included as an extra on the Brüno DVD, La Toya, 53, arrives at a hilltop house in Los Angeles to be interviewed by Brüno, an alleged Austrian TV infotainment star. She fails to recognize Cohen, the British-born star of Borat, beneath his disguise and heavy accent.

Cohen welcomes her into a room devoid of furniture, having her to sit on the back of a near-naked Hispanic laborer, who is kneeling on the floor on all fours. La Toya perches awkwardly and giggles, "It's like being on a horse, isn't it?" She then joins her host in delicately chop sticking sushi off the stomach of a second, also near-naked man, who has been wheeled into the room lying on a gurney.

It is only when Cohen borrows La Toya's cell phone, combs through it looking for Michael's phone number and then yells the number out in faux German for an assistant to jot down that La Toya halts the interview and storms out. As her car drives away, Cohen yells plaintively, "La Toya, come back. Can you at least get me Jermaine?"

Another Dancing with the Stars Double Elimination

It was the second double-elimination in a row as former NFL star Michael Irvin and Iron Chef America host Mark Dacascos were eliminated Tuesday night on Dancing with the Stars.

Irvin, who improved his dance scores each week, says the voters kept him and his partner Anna Demidova in the game for seven weeks.

“We have great love out here,” Irvin said after the show. “The voters kept us in. We were scoring 13s and 14s. That makes you feel great!”

Unfortunately, he scored the lowest among the seven couples Monday night and didn’t have a chance to compete in the dance-off, which featured Dacascos and pop star Aaron Carter. The judges raved about both performances, but in the end, the judges preferred Carter’s jive to Dacascos’s cha cha.

“Would I trade the experience? Heck, no!” says Dacascos. “It was one of the best professional experiences I’ve had in my life!”

It was a tough week for the TV host. His partner Lacey Schwimmer caught the flu last week and was unable to perform Monday night. Instead, he rehearsed once with Tony Dovolani and then performed with Anna Trebunskaya. Still feeling sick, Schwimmer said she couldn’t stay away for elimination night.

“I probably shouldn’t have come here today and danced but I begged to be here,” Schwimmer said. “There was no way I was going to let him leave on a sour note. We danced one last time.”

With only five couples left competing for the mirror ball trophy, the celebs and dancers say they have formed a bond that makes it hard to say goodbye.

“I’m happy I met her,” Irvin says about his partner Demidova. “I’ll miss her more than anything.”

CBS Orders More Episodes of Jenna Elfman's "Accidentally on Purpose"

CBS picked up five more episodes of its rookie Jenna Elfman comedy "Accidentally on Purpose" on Tuesday.

The show, in which Elfman plays a film critic who gets pregnant after a one-night stand, has been a solid performer on Mondays, a night where the ratings bar is set very high.

Although "Accidentally" has been the lowest-rated performer of the lineup, it has gradually retained more viewers from its "How I Met Your Mother" lead-in.

The order brings the complement to 18, short of the 22 episodes for a full season. This is mainly due to CBS still having episodes of "Rules of Engagement" for later this season.

Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg are Reuniting for Three Men And A Bride

Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg are reuniting for a new Three Men And A Baby sequel - nearly 20 years after the last installment.

The trio played bachelor pals forced to raise a baby together after she's left on their doorstep by desperate mum Nancy Travis in the 1987 original, Three Men and a Baby.

The reteamed three years later for the follow up, Three Men and a Little Lady.

Now, 19 years later, studio bosses at Disney are planning to reunite the trio for their movie daughter's wedding.

He adds, "It's definitely time for another Police Academy. And I think they could make another Cocoon.

"They're surefire hits and I think they're good for the world. They make the world a better place and that's what it's all about."
