Twilight's Taylor Lautner on Swapping Spit with Robert Pattinson

The real danger on the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse didn't involve vampires or werewolves. It was all the flying saliva.

"We're always like an inch away from each other's faces, screaming at each other, spitting at each other in the face. It gets a little awkward," Taylor Lautner said of costar Robert Pattinson at Monday's Cinema Society and Piaget-hosted screening of their latest Twilight film in New York.

Did Pattinson have to duck any major projectiles? "Not anything super dramatic," Lautner says, "but I'm sure he caught a couple splats."

Shouting at each other doesn't come naturally for two guys who don't, in real life, despise each other. And so, the scenes often veer into laughter. "Rob and I ruin a lot of takes," Lautner admits. "It's hard to keep a straight face, because we actually like each other. So, it's pretty funny."

With Pattinson filming Water for Elephants, Lautner, 18, was joined at the screening by costar Kristen Stewart, 20. Both actors said they've been enjoying some relatively quiet time recently.

Lautner said he's been following the World Cup – "I was rooting for the U.S., and that was a bummer," he says – while Stewart has been indulging her passion for music and cooking. "I'm fairly obsessed with [indie rocker] Jenny Lewis right now," she admits. "I'm in a state of grief because I'm missing her show in L.A."

But the cooking is going well – and it sounds like Stewart is being resourceful. "I like making pies," she says. "I have a bunch of fruit trees in my backyard. My loquat tree sprouted, and I like making loquat pie. They're really hard to peel and everything, and it took me forever, but they make the best pies. They're amazing."

David Duchovny Talks Man Crushes and Free Stuff

It's hard to deny that the guys from Twilight are pretty dreamy, even David Duchovny would have to agree. But, if you give him the names Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson, you'll probably just get a blank stare in return. If you say "the werewolf and vampire from Twilight," then bingo. We're sure the former X-Files actor is not alone in this.

David, who has two children with wife Tea Leoni, said: "If I were gay, you know. I think Woody Allen is one of a long list of men I might go gay for. Garry Shandling is someone I've publicly gone gay for, for jokes. Oh and anyone in the Twilight movies. I don't know any of their names, but all of them. The wolves, the vampires? They're all fantastic."

David also revealed that one of his greatest pleasures is showering in the buff outside his house in Massachusetts. He told Empire magazine: "I seriously hope no-one in Massachusetts reads this, but we have this outdoor shower and so I'm kinda naked and outside. I really enjoy taking an outdoor shower."

David also admitted he regularly uses his fame to get free goods. He said: "Do I use my celebrity to get something for free? Hell yeah! Mostly sporting apparel. Oh and the courtside seats at basketball games are fantastic. It's a fantasy for someone like me, who grew up wanting to play basketball, to be down there."

Broadway’s Nick Adams Talks About Abs!

Broadwat hottie, Nick Adams, was recently interviewed by UInterview about his awesome body and he had plenty to share about it, as well as, about other celebrity hunks.

Nick is best known for his performances in shows as A Chorus Line and Guys and Dolls.

Nick explains why chiseled abs have become all the rage: “We’re genetically attracted to it. It’s like a peacock with beautiful feathers. Women with large breasts, men are attracted to that. With abs, it’s something that’s very prominent, it’s a sign of strength and health, and I think anyone would be attracted to that. And it has just become a point of obsession with men. All these health magazines, shirtless guys with chiseled stomachs, and in the last five to ten years have really become an obsession. You look at photos from 30 years ago, people didn’t spend as much time developing their stomach as they do now.”

Nick is asked to rate the 10 men who readers have voted as having the best abs of the decade. Here is some of what he had to say about some of the dudes:

Matthew McConaughey: I’m a huge fan of because he has great abs, and he’s always shirtless, and he always looks flawless. His body is always in perfect shape. Yeah, just no matter what lighting he’s in or where he is, he is always without his shirt and his abs look amazing.

David Beckham: He just looks like he’s in shape from soccer. He’s a great athlete, it doesn’t really look like he goes to the gym much, I think that’s just from his job. But you can see from his Armani underwear ads, he definitely has a nice body.

Ryan Reynolds: Ryan Reynolds is definitely top of my list. His body especially in that movie Amityville Horror is unbelievable. That was a lot of time at the gym and dedication. All around physique, for me, my number one pick. His abs are ridiculous.

Taylor Lautner and Zac Efron: To me, they still look like a kids. I didn’t look like that when I was their age, so I gotta hand it to them. It’s hard really have a cut body at that age, but I don’t think they hold a candle to the other men on the list, in my opinion. … If somebody wants a skinny, well not a skinny, but a lean, sort of boyish physique they definitely look great.

Mario Lopez and Jake Gyllenhaal are two guys who didn’t make the top 10 but Nick thinks they should have: Well, I mean [laughs] Mario Lopez [who he worked with in A Chorus Line] does have an amazing set of abs, I can tell you from seeing them first-hand, he has a great stomach. Jake Gyllenhaal boasts a great body, but he’s not on here.

Twilight Finale May Be Split Into Two

Moviegoers who think that the Twilight saga will be dead and buried after the third installation, Eclipse, had better think again: Summit Entertainment may release not just one but two movies based on the fourth novel in the series.

The film company is considering turning Breaking Dawn into a two-part finale to the movie series, Variety reports.

Of course, there are complications to such a move. First off, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote the first three movies' scripts, hasn't begun writing. Second, director Chris Weitz, who filmed New Moon, has said he wants to quit the movie business after finishing a pet project, The Gardener.

But perhaps most critical is getting actors Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest to come back on board – and paying them suitably staggering salaries.

On the other hand, if Harry Potter can pull it off, why not the Cullens?

Is Twilight's Taylor Lautner Gay?

Those rumors about Twilight beefcake star Taylor Lautner romancing the same-sex might have easily died down, at least for this press tour, if the entertainment media did its job and let celebrities stay in the closet. But they did not!

What's this about you being gay?, Rolling Stone magazine threw at Lautner for his cover story interview.

Supposedly dating Taylor Swift, Lautner isn't exactly making a convincing argument the pair are anything more than friends. He tells the magazine: "We instantly clicked. And she''s – she''s an amazing girl. Aside from being beautiful, she''s extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around, and so we definitely get along. We"re close." Wow, we can feel the sexual tension!

And as for those rumors that he's gay?

Playing coy, Lautner would only say he's "possibly" dating someone, which could be Swift or somebody named Sean Fox Zastoupil, whose name has been curiously planted in B-list celeb blog reports as dating Lautner.

"I’m really big about, like, commitment. Loyalty is a major thing for me," he tells Rolling Stone. Except, the mag asked: “Another possibility is that maybe you’re just sort of discovering yourself …"

Lautner replies: "OK."

Rolling Stone: "… As a young person trying to figure out his sexual identity in the world."

Lautner: "OK. I see where you’re going. Interesting choice."

Rolling Stone: “It is a possibility."

Lautner: "There’s a lot of rumors out there."

Well that's certainly not a confirmation. But moreso, it's not a denial, which is usually the obvious choice for actors who are heterosexual, and the scripted choice for actors who are gay but playing heterosexual in public.

For now, Lautner is a 17-year-old actor with overnight success. We'd love to have him on our team but for now, we're comfortable speculating.

Same Werewolf Will Stalk "Twilight"Sequel

The werewolf will not morph.

After much speculation and consternation among online fans of the hit vampire romance "Twilight," Taylor Lautner will return as the werewolf Jacob Black in the sequel "New Moon," producer Summit Entertainment and director Chris Weitz said Wednesday.

The character has a relatively minor role in the first picture but a significantly larger one in the second, as he develops a romantic relationship with female protagonist Bella (Kristen Stewart).

With the Jacob character looking older and bulkier in "New Moon" as he goes through physiological changes, there had been reports that Lautner may be replaced. The actor was said to be gaining weight as part of his bid to keep the part.

Coincidentally, Robert Pattinson himself also faced some backlash from the fan community when he was first brought on to play Edward, with some saying he was actually too bulky for the part.

Still, it's unclear how big Lautner's role will be in the new movie, which is being fast-tracked to come out in November.
While the role of Edward is considerably smaller in the "New Moon" novel, the script is expected to boost his role to allow for more screentime for Pattinson, who is seen as key to the success of "Twilight."

Weitz, who came on to direct the second picture last month after Summit and "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke could not reach an agreement, acknowledged the size issue but said Lautner was ultimately the best choice.

"The characters in (author) Stephenie (Meyer)'s books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series," Weitz wrote in a letter posted on Meyer's website. "But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob."
