Readers Choose Vin Diesel People's Sexiest Man Alive on Facebook

You like Vin Diesel. You really, really "Like" him.

The actor, 43, demolished the competition in People's first-ever Sexiest Man Alive on Facebook poll, earning 56 percent of the vote in a five-way race, with lots of help from his 18 million Facebook fans.

So, now Vin can brag that he's not just an attractive guy – he's the hottest man in social media.

Diesel vanquished four other guys who loom large on the world's biggest social network: most notably, Jersey Shore's Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, whose own grassroots campaigning made him the runner-up, with 28 percent of the vote.

Enrique Iglesias was third with 12 percent. Chad Ochocinco and Old Spice guy Isaiah Mustafa rounded out the pack with 2 percent each.

Betty White, Neil Patrick Harris & "Old Spice" Claim Early Emmys

She won for being naughty on the subject of muffins, and he won – twice – for singing and dancing.

Betty White's Facebook-generated Saturday Night Live hosting gig and Neil Patrick Harris's turns as Tonys host and special guest star on Glee landed both veteran TV stars in the winners' circle at Saturday night's Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.

Though White, 88, was not at the Nokia Theater to collect her prize (her Snickers ad was also up for TV's highest honor), presenters John Lithgow and Clyde Phillips accepted on her behalf.

Meanwhile, Harris, 37, was present and accounted for – and he gave a special shout-out to Los Angeles Times forums moderator Chris "Boomer" Beachum, the newspaper reports. It was Boomer who revealed that the actor was missing from the list of nominees in the category of best special class, as host of the 63rd annual Tony Awards.

Accepting his gold statuette, Harris said, "I just want to thank Boomer from The Envelope, or I wouldn't have gotten this."

Harris, who also thanked his partner and (co-parent-to-be) David Burtka, is up for a best supporting actor in a series, for How I Met Your Mother, at next Sunday's Primetime Emmy Awards.

Saturday's other winners also included Jaime Oliver's Food Revolution (best reality series), previous Emmy-winning Survivor host Jeff Probst (best reality-show host) and Ann-Margret, for her guest -starring role on Law and Order: SVU.

The ad firm Weiden + Kennedy also received a Creative Arts Emmy for its Old Spice commercial, whose star, Isaiah Mustafa, told the Hollywood Reporter before the ceremony, "This is my first awards show, and I get to be nominated alongside Betty White!"

The Hot Old Spice Guy is at it Again

The hot and hilarious Old Spice guy Isaiah Mustafa is back — and he’s not on a boat. Or in the shower. Or on a horse.

Instead, he’s balancing on a log in a lake, swan diving down a rocky waterfall and taking a dip in a hot tub — on a motorcycle. Following the tone of the original spot that went viral after airing during the Winter Olympics and the Super Bowl, Mustafa has a few questions for the ladies.

“Do you like the smell of adventure?” he asks in the ad. “Do you want a man who smells like he could bake you a gourmet cake in the dream kitchen he built for you with his own hands?”

Earlier this month, Mustafa signed a talent deal with NBC.

Old Spice Guy Isaiah Mustafa Scores TV Deal

Anything is possible when you smell like Old Spice and not a lady. Just ask Old Spice guy Isaiah Mustafa, who has signed a talent deal with NBC.

“We felt he was a piece of talent worth developing. He’s an attractive guy who’s just as funny and charming,” NBC Universal casting executive VP Grace Wu tells Variety.

Mustafa’s Old Spice commercial has attracted more than 10.5 million views since it first launched on YouTube — and even snagged airtime during the Super Bowl.

Mustafa, known as “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like,” will audition for several current NBC shows, as well as new ones. According to Variety, he’ll take a first crack at sitcoms, although he may make his way to other shows like Chuck or the upcoming Love Bites.

“I grew up in that Cosby Show, Family Ties era, and kept that going even through college with Seinfeld and Friends,” he says. “To me, they controlled comedy and dictated my life on Thursday nights. And I think that’s my strength — doing comedy.”

The former NFL player previously appeared on Ugly Betty, Days of Our Lives and Castle.

Tyler Perry Gives Old Spice Man Movie Part

Moviemaker Tyler Perry has made the new face of Old Spice a happy man after offering him a leading role in his new film on national TV.

Former football star Isaiah Mustafa was a guest on Oprah Winfrey's show on Friday and during his satellite chat with the media queen, the ad star revealed he had just auditioned for a role in Perry's Colored Women film.

The actor didn't realise Perry was sitting next to Winfrey and was stunned when the TV host invited him to speak directly to the actor/director.

Perry told Mustafa, "You got the part man, you did a great job."

Meet the Hot New Old Spice Guy

He looks so hot and smells so cool – in the shower, on a boat and atop a horse in the Old Spice commercial that's been mesmerizing audiences all through the Winter Olympics. Now, thanks to the TV spot's immense popularity, "the man your man could smell like," actor Isaiah Mustafa, is riding high in real life, too.

Since the commercial first launched on YouTube Feb. 4, views have skyrocketed to nearly 2.9 million. Mustafa, 36, also appears in a smoking jacket in another deliciously cheesy spot on the Old Spice Web site, declaring that women "should smell like butterflies and salt water taffy" and men like "jet fighters and punching."

Since the commercial first aired, job opportunities have followed, Mustafa told the Los Angeles Times in a revealing profile.

Despite his sharply scripted monologue, the smug, over-the-top attitude of Mustafa's character wasn't planned. The day before the shoot, Mustafa called to chat with a pal from his days at Arizona State University, Denver Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer. When Plummer didn't answer, Mustafa decided to leave a rehearsal of the commercial's script on his friend's answering machine.

"I just did it for him, and I did it extra big, and then when I hung up, I thought, 'Maybe I should try it that way and see if they like it,' " Mustafa told the Times.

The ad honchos did like it – and so did audiences. The commercial, which takes Mustafa from the shower to a boat to a horse on the beach all in one shot (fans can also watch the making of the video), could be the big break for Mustafa, who's previously played a bailiff on Ugly Betty, a cop on Days of Our Lives and, most recently, a small role on ABC's Castle.

Here's what else you need to know about this on-the-rise actor (be forewarned): He's not available. He has a dancer girlfriend – "professional, not pole," Mustafa is quick to clarify. He also played receiver for the Seattle Seahawks and in NFL Europe, and he used to run a Ventura, Calif., barbecue restaurant with his mother, who's still there.

And while he may be an expert at dropping the towel, it appears Mustafa is also adept at keeping his newfound fame in check. As he recently Tweeted: "Raised in a house of women. I'll get backhanded if I even attempted to get bigheaded."
