Readers Choose Vin Diesel People's Sexiest Man Alive on Facebook

You like Vin Diesel. You really, really "Like" him.

The actor, 43, demolished the competition in People's first-ever Sexiest Man Alive on Facebook poll, earning 56 percent of the vote in a five-way race, with lots of help from his 18 million Facebook fans.

So, now Vin can brag that he's not just an attractive guy – he's the hottest man in social media.

Diesel vanquished four other guys who loom large on the world's biggest social network: most notably, Jersey Shore's Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, whose own grassroots campaigning made him the runner-up, with 28 percent of the vote.

Enrique Iglesias was third with 12 percent. Chad Ochocinco and Old Spice guy Isaiah Mustafa rounded out the pack with 2 percent each.

People's Sexiest Man Alive: Ryan Reynolds

Sure, his chiseled abs have caused millions to swoon, but this year's Sexiest Man Alive Ryan Reynolds loves to keep them laughing.

"My body naturally wants to look like Dick Van Dyke," says the 6'2" actor, who suits up as the Green Lantern next year. "When I stop training, I turn into a skin-colored whisper."

We doubt that. From growing up the youngest of four brothers in Canada to being the funny guy in films like The Proposal, Reynolds has learned to take everything in stride. "You just have to go with the flow," he says of his new title. "This gives my family entre into teasing me for the rest of my life. "
The actor does expect a few new perks at home with his wife of two years, Scarlett Johansson. "Now it's going to be, 'Sexiest man, take out the garbage.' That does sound better," Reynolds says. "The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers."

George Clooney Offers to 'Train' Matt Damon for Sexiest Man Title

George Clooney wants to "train" Matt Damon in a bid to gain him a second Sexiest Man Alive title, after branding the actor's first win a "fluke."

Clooney is one of only four Hollywood hunks to be twice-crowned People magazine's most handsome man in the publication's annual sexy list, alongside Brad Pitt, Richard Gere and Johnny Depp.

And the star wants to get his Ocean's 11 co-star Damon, who took the title in 2007, back into shape so he can have another shot at the prestigious honour - insisting his pal doesn't stand a chance since he gained 30 pounds for his movie The Informant! last year.

He jokes to Britain's Zoo magazine, "Here's the thing. Matt Damon is very competitive with both Brad Pitt and myself. Brad and me are both two time Sexiest Men Alive. Matt's only won it one time and I sort of consider it a bit of fluke.

"Having seen him recently putting on all that weight for The Informant!, well, he's got a lot of work to do if he wants to get back. I'm going to train him and work with him because he's going to need to run a strong campaign this year."

People's Sexiest Man Alive: Johnny Depp

Break out the Bordeaux, the whoopee cushions and the bangin' Keith Richards guitar solos, because the 2009 Sexiest Man Alive party is officially under way.

Bringing the fun with him wherever he goes – whether it's onscreen in fizzy roles like Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise or at home with his family on their private Bahamian island – is just one reason why Johnny Depp, who also scored the honor in 2003, has joined an elite club of two-time SMA title holders (only Brad Pitt and George Clooney have matched the feat).

At 46, the father of two still reigns as Hollywood's most irresistible iconoclast; as one-of-a-kind as his beloved 15-year-old boots and as smoldering as his favorite Cuban cigars.

"Johnny Depp has magical powers. He's unlike anyone else,” says actress Isla Fisher, who's married to Sacha Baron Cohen. "He’s funny, generous and clever. It’s just a shame he’s so hard on the eyes."

Hugh Jackman Prepares to Pass Sexiest Man Alive Crown

As the one-year reign of Hugh Jackman as People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive winds down, it's time to pass the crown to a new deserving hunk. So who does the Australian screen star, Oscar host and current Broadway leading man want to see take the title next?

"Me! I want to be the first to have it back to back, buddy," Jackman, 41, told People's reporter on Friday in New York, while attending the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert (set to air on HBO on November 29th). "That would be fantastic!"

Though he would like to reclaim the title, the Steady Rain star (who costars in the Broadway drama with Daniel Craig, certainly another SMA possibility) says it's been quite an exciting year as the Sexiest Man Alive, but also one that's been a little demanding.

"I thought there were thousands of other guys that deserved it, but it's been a great year. But now the pressures off," he said good-naturedly. "I can be a slob again."

Matt Damon Wants Hugh Jackman to Repeat as Sexiest Man Alive

The political season is over, but Matt Damon is still on the campaign trail, pushing for People's reigning Sexiest Man Alive Hugh Jackman to take the honor again this year.

"Maybe he can be the first to do it back-to-back," says Damon, 38, who gave up the title to the X-Men star last year. "I'll start campaigning for that."

Damon also has ideas on who should not be up for consideration: His Oceans 11 cast-mates George Clooney and Brad Pitt, both of whom have been Sexiest Man Alive twice.

"It would be absolutely intolerable, so, no, I don't want either of those guys to three-peat," he joked while attending the Ante Up For Africa poker fundraiser Thursday in Las Vegas's Rio Hotel.

Hugh Jackman: The Sexiest Man Alive

He's a triple threat: a star who can sing, dance and wield a weapon.

People Magazine has selected Hugh Jackman as their 2008 Sexiest Man Alive!

At 6 ft. 2 in., all scruff and biceps, Hugh Jackman looms large in the epic "Australia", which he says kept him "dirty 95 percent of the time" and left people stammering, "Oh...my...God," according to costar Nicole Kidman, who adds, "Women's jaws drop when Hugh walks into a room."

Jackman's wife of 12 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, calls his perfect form "the Body of Doom – but I like what's inside": a romantic who sings ballads at home and makes pancakes for Oscar, 8, and Ava, 3.

A hard body with a soft center – 2008's Sexiest Man Alive sat down with PEOPLE's Elizabeth Leonard and Julie Jordan to reveal most of his secrets.

People Magazine (P): You turned 40 Oct. 12 and now you're the Sexiest Man Alive. What was your wife's response?
Hugh (H): God bless her, she said, "I could have told them that years ago!" And the she said, "Obviously, Brad wasn't available this year." And I said, "That was a joke, right?"

P: Your marriage is a success story.
H: In my early 20s, I didn't have a regular girlfriend. I was single and really happy about it. And then when I was 26, I met Deb on [the Australian TV show] Correlli. She was my leading lady. It was just undeniable. I started planning to propose to her at about three months. We are happy. Deb and my kids have been the best things that have ever happened to me, without a doubt.

P: How do you keep the passion alive?
H: It's easy with my wife. She loves the idea of me coming home in costume because it makes her feel like she's having an affair in a good way. When we met, I was cast as a prisoner with tattoos and she'd say, "Don't take your tattoos off tonight!" and I'd be like, "All right!" But what works best with her is the stockbroker look. She also says, "Do your sexy dance for me," [an '80s-like, hip-swiveling number] and that works for me.

P: Are you self-conscious about any body part?
H: When I was younger, I had chicken legs. My nickname was Sticks.

P: What part do people like best?
H: My smile. Lately my pecs. I'm being honest!

P: What do you wear to bed?
H: I didn't wear anything until my daughter was born and we had a night nanny because I was working. I walked out stark naked, and she was reading a book. Now I like boxer briefs.

How the Sexiness Began ...

FIRST GIRLFRIEND
"Martine Craswell, in kindergarten. My dad said, 'Oh, I always knew you were romantic because you were running in a race and Martine fell over and you stopped and went back and picked her up.' Chivalry was there."

FIRST KISS
"With Sarah Dowsett when I was 9. I was going from a coed school to a boys' school and I thought, 'If I don't kiss a girl before I go to this school, I won't get to kiss a girl.' And my friend goes, 'Sarah Dowsett kisses. I kissed her once.' So I said to Sarah, 'I want you to know that I love you.' And she said, 'I love you too.' And I said, 'Do you want to go down to the bush and kiss?' She said yes. It was just [he purses his lips]. I remember thinking, 'What is this all about?' Then, when I had my first tongue kiss, I thought, 'What the hell is this?'

FIRST LEARNED ABOUT SEX
"When I was 9, Scott Whitehead, who lived down the road, had an older brother who had Penthouse magazines. I was kind of shocked."
