Which Couple Gets Sex Counseling from Holly Holliday on Glee Next Week?

We’re less than a week away from the much-anticipated return of Gwyneth Paltrow’s Holly Holliday on Glee and Entertainment Weekly has some juicy scoop to reveal about Holly’s second stint at McKinley High.

They already broke the news that she would be subbing for the school’s sex ed teacher. But Holly’s sex-pertise will not be reserved solely for the classroom: Entertainment Weekly has learned exclusively that she will also be counseling one of the series’ major couples. Which one?

SPOILER ALERT! Newlyweds Emma (Jayma Mays) and Carl (John Stamos).”Holly ends up counseling them a little bit,” says star Matthew Morrison. “It turns out their sex life isn’t all that.” Adds Morrison, “At the same time, I find out the glee club is having a lot of sex and they’re not really informed as to what’s going on. Holly and I come up with an idea to teach them through song about the dangers of sex.”

Morrison adds that by the end of next week’s episode, there’s also potential for a Holly/Will romance. Says the actor, “By the end of the episode, we kind of get together. She has to leave again but there’s a possibility of a future between Will and Holly.”

In fact, Paltrow is currently shooting yet another episode of Glee, her third this season.

Elton John May Appear on Glee

Elton John has been in talks about appearing on Glee.

Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester in the show, said she had encouraged the gay legend to meet series co-creator Ryan Murphy without realising the pair had already discussed the idea.

She told Access Hollywood: “I said, ‘You should be on it!’ And he said he and Ryan just had coffee or something and they talked about that, so that would be really fun.”

Meanwhile, Matthew Morrison, who plays Will Schuester, said recently that John could appear as a love interest for Sue.

He said: “We should find a spot for him to be on the show. That would be awesome. He’s a living legend. He just brings such a great energy and a great validity to everything he does.

“He should do something with Jane Lynch. I think he should maybe play her boyfriend or some kind of love interest for her. I think that would be fun.”

Glee Cast to Debut Original Songs on March 8th

It was teased at the end of last week’s episode, but now Sony has confirmed that the Glee cast will release two original songs on Glee: The Music, Volume 5, on sale March 8th.

Titled “Loser Like Me” and “Get It Right,” the tracks are the first original music to produced for the show. “Loser Like Me,” an ensemble piece, was co-written by pop vet Max Martin, who’s written for the likes of Britney Spears, Pink, and the Backstreet Boys. “Get It Right” is a solo ballad that will be sung by Lea Michele’s character Rachel Berry. Both will be featured in the March 15th episode, fittingly titled “Original Song.”

What's the Sweetest Moment of Glee's Valentine's Day Episode?

It was Valentine's Day at McKinley High on Tuesday's "Silly Love Songs" episode of Glee – and love was in the air. But which moment was sweeter than a box of chocolates?

Less than seven minutes in heaven – er, the janitor's closet – was enough for Puck to fall hard for his plus-size classmate Lauren Zizes. When she rejected him, he tried everything to earn her affection, including singing "Fat Bottom Girls," which she found offensive. After convincing her to go on a date to Breadsticks, Puck was stood up. When he confronted her and told her his attraction wasn't about her curves but because she's the "bigger badass," she agreed to take things slow and be his Valentine's date – as friends.

After witnessing Blaine's embarrassing Valentine's Day serenade of a Gap junior manager, Kurt tells the cute warbler that he was not alone in misreading love signals. "I thought the guy that you wanted to ask out on Valentine's Day was me," Kurt said, pointing out that they sing "flirty duets together" and know each other's coffee orders. "I really, really care about you but ... I'm not very good at romance," Blaine tells him. "I don't want to screw this up."

At his kissing booth to earn money for glee club, Rachel told Finn she still loves him and asked for forgiveness for cheating with Puck. Finn gave her the star necklace that he bought her for Christmas before they broke up. "You're better than everyone at this school," he said, adding that he wants to be alone for a while. "You're a real star and you need to shine." Later, he admitted that he kissed Quinn and saw fireworks, and she said she was glad to know the truth. "Now I'm free to pursue my dreams without anything holding me back," she said.

Glee Goes Gruesome for 'Thriller'

Costumed and covered in gruesome zombie makeup, the Glee cast is hardly recognizable as they gnash their teeth and perform a jerky dance across a football field for the big February 6th post-Super Bowl extravaganza.

Joined by sexy blue-haired cheerleaders, the group will take on the Michael Jackson's classic "Thriller" video as a mashup with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs's "Heads Will Roll."

The episode, at between $3 and $5 million the most expensive to date, will focus on the growing tension between the Glee club and the football team.

"You can never re-create something as incredible as 'Thriller,' " Lea Michele tells Entertainment Weekly. "We're making it our own."

Is NBC's Smash the Next Glee?

No doubt hoping to capitalize on Glee mania, NBC has ordered an hour-long musical pilot that follows a diverse cast of characters who come together to stage a Broadway show.

Titled Smash, the project boasts an impressive pedigree. Producers include Steven Spielberg, Chicago duo Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, and Hairspray songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

Spring Awakening‘s Michael Mayer is in talks to direct, which pretty much guarantees that there’s a role in this for Lea Michele’s former Spring leading man (and ex-Glee costar) Jonathan Groff.

Elsewhere on the pilot front, NBC has greenlit I Hate That I Love You, a “twisty” single-camera comedy from Will & Grace scribe Jhoni Marchinko about a straight couple that set up two lesbian friends on a blind date, resulting in both an instant attraction and a pregnancy.

Elton John & Matthew Morrison 'Gleeful' Duet

Elton John was filled with 'Glee' to do this duet.

Speaking at his Wednesday gay marriage fundraising gala, John touched on the recent work he did with 'Glee' star Matthew Morrison on his upcoming solo album.

"I just did it! It's a duet. It's great, really fantastic. He sings great on it," he told Parade Magazine. "It's a medley of 'Mona Lisas and Madhatters' going into 'Rocket Man.' I did it on Monday."

John had spoken in October of his plans to do the project with Morrison, who attended the Wednesday soiree.

"I'm supposed to be doing something with Matthew Morrison for his album," the singer told Entertainment Weekly in October. "[Matthew and I] had a little meeting together, so hopefully that's going to happen when I get to L.A."

No word yet on whether the high school glee club show will cover one of his songs, but John was enthusiastic about that possibility, too.

Morrison's solo album will be released in February.

How 'Glee' is Leading TV's Gay-Teen Revolution

Gay teens are suddenly popping up in major roles all over television, with Glee’s popular pairing of Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) leading the way.

How did gay teens go from marginalized outcasts and goofy sidekicks to some of the highest profile — and most beloved — characters on the likes of 90210, Pretty Little Liars, and Skins?

And more importantly, how is this affecting real-life teens still facing the daily high-school realities of bullying, discrimination, and ignorance?

The new issue of Entertainment Weekly investigates the history of gay teens on TV — from the angsty Rickie on My So-Called Life to sensitive-soul Jack on Dawson’s Creek to the slew of groundbreaking characters on Degrassi. We talk to the producers who fought for such progress, the actors who held the career-defining roles, and the activists who cheer recent advances — but are still pushing for more. Among them:

* Colfer, on his wildly flirtatious version of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” with Criss, which became the most downloaded track off the Glee Christmas album: “That was by far the gayest thing that has ever been on TV, period,” Colfer says. “Forget AbFab, forget Beautiful People and Will & Grace.” Adds creator/exec producer Ryan Murphy: “I was proud of that. I think it pushed the envelope a bit.”

* My So-Called Life creator Winnie Holzman, on ABC’s reaction to Rickie as a character when the show premiered in 1994: “The thing I got the most pushback about was in the pilot, when he puts eyeliner on in the girls’ bathroom. I remember I mentioned The Crying Game, which had just come out, and Michael Jackson wearing eyeliner [to convince the network]. So they went with it.”

* The O.C. (and Gossip Girl) exec producer Stephanie Savage on the short-lived romance between Marissa (Mischa Barton) and girlfriend Alex (Olivia Wilde) in 2005, during the height of network censorship fears (after the Janet Jackson Super Bowl incident): “We could’ve had more support in terms of making that a long-term story line. There were definitely some questions about how long we were doing this story. And we did have to do some editing to make kisses shorter and pull back on some physicality of the characters.”

Anne Hathaway to Play Chris Colfer's Lesbian Aunt on Glee

Everyone, it seems, wants to be on Glee. And Anne Hathaway soon will be – in an offbeat role she invented for herself.

"We just finalized a deal with Anne tonight to come onto the show," creator Ryan Murphy told People magazine on Sunday at the Golden Globe Awards, where Glee was named best comedy or musical for the second straight year.

"She's already created [her role]," Murphy said. "She wants to play the lesbian aunt of Chris Colfer. Because everyone needs a lesbian aunt."

Hathaway, 28, isn't the only star to seek a guest spot on the show. Plenty of others pitched Murphy on Sunday. "They always do," he said. "I can't even think of who. But it's so sweet. I think they support the show because it's about the arts."

Glee outdid itself at the Golden Globes in its sophomore season, as Colfer and Jane Lynch were first-time winners in the supporting actor and actress categories – further sweetening the show's repeat victory as best comedy or musical.

"Whenever you do something twice, it proves that the first time wasn't a fluke," Murphy said. "It means I dug in there and did some good work."

At the Fox afterparty, Murphy still hadn't fully celebrated with the cast, but he could barely contain his pride for what they've accomplished.

"I haven't really seen them yet, because you win and then you're whisked backstage and it's a whirlwind," he said. "But they're all right over there. I'm going to go hug them and kiss them. They're like our children. Look at them! Look at those faces! They are so young. God bless them."

Darren Criss Wants a Date with Tina Fey

Darren Criss apparently has a thing for older women.

While walking his first Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday, the Glee actor, 23, said he would be most starstruck by his "crush" Tina Fey.

"Talk about just hilarious, beautiful, smart, talented – just awesome," Criss said, praising the 30 Rock star. "If I met her, I would turn into a puddle."

Criss has even considered taking the initiative to get the married Fey, 40, to go out with him.

"I would immediately ask her on a date to go mini-golfing with me," Criss said. "I just want to get some of her pixie dust on me."

Later in the evening, Criss mustered up the confidence to approach his dream woman.

"I met Darren tonight, and he told me he's a fan," Fey said at the InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globe Awards afterparty. "He was really nice."

But as a committed wife, Fey has to let Criss down gently.

"I'm married, so I can't take him on a date," she said with a laugh. "But he can come on a double date with another girl and my husband and me. I love Glee."

The Social Network is Golden at the Globes

The Social Network has virtually locked in its Best Film Oscar after landing four big awards at the Golden Globes on Sunday night.

Just two days after picking up the main prize at the Critics Choice Awards, the film won top honors at the Globes, while there were also accolades for David Fincher (Best Director), Aaron Sorkin (Best Screenplay) and Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Best Score).

The night's big loser was The King's Speech, which led all nominations with seven, but went home with only one - a Best Actor gong for Oscars favourite Colin Firth.

The ceremony's highlight came when Michael Douglas took the stage at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to hand out the Best Motion Picture (Drama) award a week after announcing he was winning his cancer battle.

The healthy looking movie veteran received a standing ovation and then joked, "There's gotta be an easier way of getting a standing ovation... I'm very very happy to be here tonight."

Alongside Firth, Paul Giamatti (Barney's Version), Annette Bening (The Kids Are All Right) and Natalie Portman (Black Swan) won the night's top acting awards for comedy and dramatic movies, while Christian Bale and Melissa Leo claimed the Best Supporting Actor and Actress drama prizes for their roles in boxing drama The Fighter.

In the TV categories, Glee and Boardwalk Empire were the only multiple winners - Glee claimed Best Comedy or Musical Series, while stars Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer won acting honors. Boardwalk Empire was named Best Drama Series and its star Steve Buscemi landed a Best Actor prize.

Other TV acting honors went to Claire Danes, Al Pacino, Jim Parsons, Katey Sagal and Laura Linney.

Glee Couples Status Report: What's in the Future for Your Favorites?

"Is there hope for Wemma?! What about Quick?!" E! Online'sTwitter feeds have been flooded with fans asking about Glee romances.

Don't worry, E! has heard Glee fans loud and clear, and went straight to the stars for the answers. Read on for the latest news on Glee's power couples—and new favorites Kurt and Blaine. Plus, who will spend Valentine's Day in...slow motion?

E! Online cornered the men of Glee (that's the kind of sacrifice they are willing to make for you fans) at the TCA press tour to get the goods on their television love lives, and they didn't hold back. For starters, Mr. Schue is pretty darn sick of feeling jealous over Carl (John Stamos), and now it's Emma's turn!

"Carl hasn't been back yet, but you know Gwyneth Paltrow is coming back and I think her and I are going to get a little loving going on," Matthew Morrison tells us. "So it'll be my chance to show Emma up a little bit. Make her a little jealous because she's been making me really jealous lately." Understandable. Stamos is kind of a dreamboat.

Remember when Quinn and Puck had a kid? Mark Salling does, and he thinks there still might be a chance for those two crazy kids to get together. "I wouldn't rule anything out," he says. "We don't know what going on until the week before when we get the script, so who knows?" We're sure Quick fans will hold onto that little string of hope like a lifeline, right?

And now, ladies and gentlemen, your teenage dream Darren Criss has a message for those desperate for Blaine and Kurt to get together. "There's going to be some fun things. Every day Chris (Colfer) and I are both equally curious to see what's going to happen between the two of those guys," he spills to E! Online. "We're definitely going to start seeing some layers to the two of them. The pink elephant in the room will finally be addressed, let's put it that way."

Speaking of pink, Glee has a Valentine's Day episode coming up! Kevin McHale is especially anxious for fans to see that one. "[Artie] is with Brittany [Heather Morris], and it's a very fun and cute episode," he tells us. "We get to do a lot of fun numbers. This number I get to do, I can't say [what it is] but I'm very, very excited to do it. There's slow motion! I love slow motion."

We wonder what the already slow Brittany is like in slow motion...does she just stand still? These are the important questions, Glee fans want to know.

The next new episode of Glee will premiere on Super Bowl Sunday, February 6th, right after the game on FOX. It's sure to be a "Thriller"!

Glee's Jane Lynch: "Straight Audiences Not Ready For Gay Actors in Leading Roles"

At the Fox Television Critics Association Winter Tour party on Tuesday night in Los Angeles, Emmy award-winning actress Jane Lynch was on hand to promote the upcoming season of Glee. Michael Jensen from AfterElton.com had the chance to ask the out actress about the issue of gay actors not being cast in straight leading roles.

Here is what Lynch, a Hollywood veteran, had to say on the subject.

AfterElton: Jane, this week The Daily Beast ran an article talking about gay actors not getting cast in straight parts, and I’m just wondering what your experience in Hollywood tells you about where we’re at with gay actors. I mean, there are a lot of gay actors getting work right now but what about the leading roles? When do you think we’ll see more of that?
Jane Lynch: I don’t know when or if that will ever happen. I think because since most of the world is straight — and maybe we'll get to a place where this will happen — most of the world is straight and we want the audience to project their hopes and dreams for love and romance onto those actors. And if it’s not in some way possible, maybe never probably, in their mind that it could never happen, then they're not going to do it. You know, most people are straight, and I think that’s probably why.

AE: So you think audience acceptance is keeping networks and casting directors from making…
JL: Yes. This is a business of projection and desiring people from afar. And watching people go through trials and tribulations, so there has got to be some truth to it, in terms of, "I could see myself with that person." Because the leading man and lady are the person we want them to fall in love with, and most of the audience is straight. So for right now, we can only use straight actors.

Look, I’ve never -- as far as I know, it’s been behind my back if it has — I’ve never been turned down for a role because I’m gay. I’m a character actor, and that’s probably why. I don’t find Hollywood, in my own experience, to be homophobic. Have I ever been turned down? I don’t know because you never know when you don’t get something or why you didn’t get it. But I do think the straight folks will continue to play the straight roles.

AE: I just want to follow up because I want to make sure I don’t misquote you and that you understood the question.
JL: Oh, are you afraid I said something terrible and you’re going to use it as a headline? “Jane Lynch doesn’t think blah blah blah!”

AE: I don’t want to put something in a context that is inaccurate. What I understood you to say was you thought audiences, it was going to be very hard for openly gay actors to get those lead roles…
JL: Right.

AE: Because audiences weren’t going to accept them?
JL: Yep.

AE: A lot of people’s reaction might be, “Everybody knows that so and so isn’t a killer or isn’t really an astronaut, but audiences don't have any trouble ..."
JL: Oh, I know. But what they want, what studios want, is for people to project their hopes and their dreams for romance onto these people, and I think that’s what stops them from casting gay people.

AE: So you think it’s the studios?
JL: Studios. It’s everybody looking at the bottom-line.

AE: Ok, because audiences will have a hard time if they know…
JL: That the actors is gay, yeah. Yeah. Now I, as a 50-year-old woman and a lesbian, could probably do [it], because I’m not 25. I could probably do a romantic straight thing, which I’ve done before. Because I’m not a young ... I think they want their young Romeo/Juliet archetypes to be straight.

ABC Plots a Return to Oz

When Michael Ausiello from TVLine tells you that Salma Hayek is bringing a wicked new project to ABC, he means that quite literally.

Sources confirm that the actress-producer is teaming with ABC to develop an eight-hour miniseries adaptation of" Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West," the Gregory Maguire bestseller that spawned the Broadway phenom.

The insider stresses that it would be based on the novel and not the musical. As a result, this Wicked would be less of a prequel and more of a parallel story to The Wizard of Oz. (Universal, as you may know, is currently developing a Wicked film, and that would be based on the musical.)

ABC Studios will produce along with Hayek and Jose Tamez through the duo’s Ventanarosa Productions. The ex-Ugly Betty producer may also play a supporting role in the project, which is being penned by Erik Jendresen (Band of Brothers).

Oh, and some juicy background: Two years ago, ABC — under then-president Steve McPherson — passed on a Wicked mini. But his successor, former ABC Family boss Paul Lee, resurrected it soon after taking the reins last summer.

Thoughts? Excited to see ABC getting back in the miniseries business? Got casting suggestions for Elphaba and Galinda? Michael Ausiello is for Glee‘s go-to airhead, Heather Morris, as the Good Witch and Raising Hope‘s Shannon Woodward as the green one. Gwyneth Paltrow Returning to Glee for Two More Episodes

Gwyneth Paltrow is set to return to hit TV show Glee to romance Matthew Morrison's drama teacher Will Schuester.

The Oscar winner scored a ratings bonanza for the series when she appeared as substitute teacher Holly Holliday last year, and now Glee creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed she has agreed to come back for two more episodes.

He explains, "She's coming back specifically to date Will. Those two have become really good friends in real life and had really good chemistry. She's coming back as a sex education teacher.

"Gwyneth and I are emailing, talking every week: What are we gonna sing? We're trying to do something fantastic. She comes back in January and she's with us for three and a half weeks, I think."

And Murphy has revealed he's also using Lady Gaga's new song Born This Way as a major theme for an upcoming episode.

He tells Entetainment Weekly, "We're going to do a whole episode that's about that song."

Vampires Eclipse the Competition at the People's Choice Awards

The stars of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse were the big winners at the People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

Robert Pattinson missed out on early honors as Johnny Depp won the Favorite Movie Actor a year after he was awarded the first Favorite Movie Actor of the Decade Award at the 2010 event.

Pattinson and Stewart also missed out on the Favorite Movie Star Under 25 Award - to Zac Efron.

But then the movie vampires took over, winning four big awards, including the night's Favorite Movie honor and Favorite Movie Actress (Stewart).

Eminem also claimed four big awards - for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Artist and for his Rihanna duet Love The Way You Lie, which was named Favorite Song and Favorite Music Video.

TV medical drama House was also a quadruple winner, taking home the Favorite TV Drama honour, while stars Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein claimed the Favorite TV Drama Actor and Actress awards. Laurie was also named Favorite TV Doctor.

Other multiple winners included Katy Perry, who was named Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Online Sensation; TV hit Glee, which claimed the Favorite TV Comedy and Favorite TV Comedy Actress (Jane Lynch), and Adam Sandler, who picked up the Favorite Comedic Actor honor, while his 2010 movie Grown Ups landed the Favorite Comedy Movie accolade.

Tim Roth was also a surprise double winner, picking up the Favorite TV Crime Fighter award for his role in Lie To Me. The show also won the Favorite TV Crime Drama.

Glee's Chord Overstreet Reveals 10 Secrets

Gleeks already know that Chord Overstreet – or Sam Evans, as he's known at McKinley High – has powerhouse vocals and looks great in tight gold shorts. But do you know about his dog Harley – or his love for river dancing?

In a new Glee video from Fox, Overstreet gets personal, revealing 10 things about himself – like that caffeine makes him sleepy and that he plays the flute – his fans don't know from watching him sing along with Glee club.

A “Glee” Spoiler Regarding Kurt and Blaine!

It’s been a tough school year so far for our Kurt Hummel played by Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG award nominee Chris Colfer.

He’s been bullied by a closeted thug at school whose continued presence has so unnerved Kurt that the openly gay glee club member has transferred to a private school.

So, we know that Kurt has fallen for a fellow gay student at his new school: Blaine played by hottie Darren Criss.

Colfer talked to TV Guide’s William Keck about the February 8th Valentine’s episode when Kurt and Blaine croon "When I Get You Alone" outside of a Gap store.

Keck reports that it is there that Blaine will profess his love.

Colfer hinted: “There might be a development.”
