Lady Gaga & Alicia Keys Top List of 2010's Most Charitable Stars

In a world of celebrities behaving badly, these 20 stars balanced things out.

Lady Gaga, a leader in gay-rights issues, takes the No. 1 spot on a new list of the "Top 20 Celebs Gone Good" in 2010, honoring stars for their charity work. Alicia Keys, who is devoted to fighting HIV and AIDS, was the runner-up.

Rounding out the top 10 are Taylor Swift, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Ellen DeGeneres, Nick Jonas, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey and Justin Bieber.

The list is compiled by DoSomething.org, a charity leader for teens and social chang

Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga and More Staging Digital Deaths for a Cause

Don't worry, Kim Kardashian is not really dead. But starting Wednesday, she won't be quite as lively on social media.

Kardashian, 30, is joining sister Khloe, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys and other stars in signing off Facebook and Twitter beginning Wednesday, which is World AIDS Day, to draw attention to the disease.

The campaign, called Digital Life Sacrifice, includes ads that show Kardashian and others lying in coffins to symbolize their digital deaths. They will sign back on when the Keep a Child Alive charity – which Keys has been closely involved with – raises $1 million.

Other celebrities joining the campaign include Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Seacrest, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams and Keys's husband, Swizz Beatz.

Keep a Child Alive will accept donations via text message and bar-code technology embedded in the ads. The charity raises money for families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.

"We're trying to sort of make the remark: Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we're all from?" says Leigh Blake, co-founder of Keep a Child Alive. "It's about love and respect and human dignity."

Russell Crowe to Play Beyonce's Lover in New A Star Is Born?

Russell Crowe and Beyonce have emerged as the frontrunners for the lead roles in a remake of classic movie A Star Is Born.

Robert Downey, Jr. was attached to the male lead at one point, but now it seems the Gladiator star has taken his place.

Crowe is the new favorite to play an ageing, alcoholic musician who mentors and falls in love with a younger female star.

The film was a big screen hit in the 1930s and it has already been reworked twice, with Judy Garland and James Mason in 1957 and Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in 1976.

Nick Cassavettes is onboard to direct the film, which is rumoured to feature Mad Men star Jon Hamm, Alicia Keys and Rihanna.

The MBK/J Records album's first single, "Doesn't Mean Anything," produced and written by Keys and longtime collaborator Kerry "Krucial" Brothers, is this week's Hot Shot debut on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart at No. 61.

To promote the album and single, Keys will give the song its television debut performance on the "Regis and Kelly" show on Monday, October 12th.

"The music is really strong, and the drums are really aggressive, but my voice is vulnerable and delicate," Keys said in a statement about the album.

"The Element of Freedom" is the follow-up to Keys' 2007 album, "As I Am." Keys is also featured on Alejandro Sanz's latest single, "Paraiso Express" ("Looking For Paradise").

Alicia Key's "Halo"?

Alicia Keys paired up with sexy Alejandro Sanz in her latest release "Looking for Paradise".

This is a very sexy ballad (thanks to Alejandro's sexy Spanish accent) which has a great similarity to Beyonce's "Halo" and Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone". It almost sounds like the same person who wrote these two song decided to write one for Alicia Keys too. I do love it, don't get me wrong, but wonder why all of these songs have such a similar sound.

Enjoy it!
