'Desperate' Actor in Motorcycle Crash

LOS ANGELES, October 15 -- U.S. television actor Gale Harold was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash, TMZ reported Wednesday.

TMZ said he is in the Intensive Care Unit of Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center following Tuesday's crash.

A hospital rep stated he was in "critical condition".

Harold's rep issued a statement saying his shoulder was fractured and he's in "stable condition," despite what the hospital rep said. And the slightly ominous words from his rep -- "Everyone is hopeful for a full recovery."

Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry says Harold has swelling of the brain but is expected to recover. No future details on his condition was released to the media.

Harold is best known for playing Teri Hatcher's character's current boyfriend (Jackson) on Desperate Housewives, as well as Brian on Queer as Folk.

We wish Gale a speedy recovery.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie Confirm Split

Pop star Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie are to divorce after nearly eight years of marriage, their PR representatives have confirmed.

The pair had not agreed to a settlement and asked the media to respect their privacy, the announcement added.

It followed several months of speculation that the couple's relationship was in trouble.
In July, Madonna's publicist denied the pair were planning to divorce, saying their marriage did not "need saving".

The pair appeared together at last month's premiere of Ritchie's RocknRolla in London, walking arm-in-arm and posing for photographs in London's Leicester Square.

Ritchie, 40, had rebutted suggestions his marriage was over with a public show of support at Madonna's 50th birthday party in August and also told a US magazine in July the marriage was "fine".

The statement issued on Wednesday read: "Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven and a half years of marriage, their representatives confirmed today.
They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time."

Madonna is due to play a concert in Boston later today as part of her Sticky and Sweet tour.

She and Ritchie married in December 2000 at Skibo Castle in the Scottish Highlands and have two sons together - seven-year-old Rocco and David Banda, whose adoption from Malawi was approved in May.

The singer also has an 11-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from an earlier relationship.

Madonna and Ritchie to Announce Divorce

LONDON (AP) -- Madonna and filmmaker Guy Ritchie are to end their marriage after nearly eight years, British newspapers reported Wednesday.

Citing unnamed sources, The Sun and Daily Mail said the couple hoped to have a divorce finalized by Christmas. The Sun said that Madonna, 50, had wanted to wait until her latest world tour wraps up in Brazil in December before announcing the split.

The singer will perform concerts Wednesday and Thursday in Boston as her "Sticky and Sweet" tour continues.

Barbara Charone, Madonna's spokeswoman in London, declined comment on the reports. Ritchie's mother, Lady Amber Leighton, told reporters the family wouldn't be making any statement to the media.

This is the second time this year that the superstar couple's marriage has come under the media microscope. Over the summer, Madonna was linked — unfairly, she said — to the breakup of New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez and his ex-wife Cynthia.

In July, Madonna's U.S. publicist released a statement that said the singer and Ritchie had "no plans to divorce."

Madonna and Ritchie married in December 2000 at a Scottish castle. The couple have two children: Rocco, 8, and David Banda, 3, who was adopted from Malawi in 2006. Madonna also has a 12-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from her relationship with personal trainer Carlos Leon.

The couple are reportedly worth some $525 million, the bulk of that belonging to Madonna. Ritchie has an estimated $35 million fortune. They own homes in London, Los Angeles and New York, and a 1,200-acre retreat in Wiltshire, England.

Alan Kaufman, head of family law for London firm Finers Stephens Innocent, said he would be surprised if Madonna and Ritchie hadn't come to some arrangement before they were married.
Kaufman, who isn't involved in the case, also said he doesn't expect the case to end up in court because the couple would likely prefer to come to a private agreement both custodially and financially.

"They both had substantial assets and don't really need any money from each other," Kaufman said.

"This is not like the McCartney divorce," he said, referring to the acrimonious split between former Beatle Paul McCartney and Heather Mills earlier this year.

Beyonce's New Single: Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)

As Beyonce prepares to release her new CD later this year, she has recently released the video for her first single "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)".

Here's the official video which is circulating through YouTube.

Buy a Lego Life-Size Replica of Yourself for $60,000

Lego Artist Nathan Sawaya, one of the only six certified Lego professionals in the world, three in the U, will do a full-size scale Lego replica of yourself for $60,000. You just have to order it from Neiman Marcus, send some photographs, and Nathan will build your natural-size 8-bit version.

Nathan was recently interviewed by Jesus Diaz, from Gizmodo - The Gadget Guide. Below are excerpts from the interview.

Q: On average, how many pieces would it take to do one of these?

A: I don't keep track of how many pieces I use in a sculpture because it would get a bit tedious. But I am guessing around 15,000-25,000 individual bricks.

Q: As you are an sculptor, you work straight from reality, no digitizing process needed. How many photos do you need to do your work?

A: Ideally, I would like 16 photos: Eight full body photos from 360 degrees, and eight of the face and head from 360 degrees.

Q: Have you done one of these already? Any famous people?

A: I did myself, does that count? Seriously, the only other full body adult that I have done so far happens to be Stephen Colbert.

Nathan Sawaya is obsessed with LEGO® bricks. He fills his New York studio with more than 1.5 million of the interlocking toy building blocks, and he can sculpt anything out of them — a full-size Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton or a 7-foot-long scale replica of the Brooklyn Bridge, for example. Given the skill and depth of his devotion to his art, it makes perfect sense to immortalize your own magnificent self with our 2008 His & Hers gifts.

Send in detailed photos and measurements, then Nathan gets to snapping and BOOM! One-of-a-kind, life-size sculptures of yourselves in LEGO bricks.

And by the way, if you don't have $60,000, then you should consider entering the Gizmodo "Go Miniman Go Lego" contest. The vintage shrink-wrapped Lego sets will get you a nice chunk of that money in eBay. But hurry up because the end of the month deadline is quickly approaching.

If you want to participate, check the contest rules here and send your video now. [Neiman Marcus]

Making Waves: QE2's Funnel "to be sliced off"

Details are emerging of what will happen to the world-famous passenger liner QE2 when it retires next month to become a floating hotel in Dubai. The plans are unlikely to appeal to QE2's traditional fans. Even the iconic silhouette of the world's best-known ship will change.

According to the liner's crew, the new owners in Dubai plan to slice off the giant red funnel, placing it on the waterfront as an entrance to the ship. In its place will be a four-deck smoked glass penthouse, in the shape of the funnel but with a swimming pool. The idea is to make it the most exclusive hotel room in Dubai.

The lifeboats will all go. And extra rooms will be built on the deck towards the stern.

Inside, every cabin will be ripped out and replaced with new, larger bedrooms that meet the latest standards. And the ship's engines will be taken out, and the space used to create a new entertainment venue.

"What's happening to the ship is very good," insists Cpt Ian McNaught, QE2's master for the last five years. "Because the alternatives are so awful. It could go to scrap and disappear. Or it could get run into the ground as an ignominious ferry in some backwater somewhere."

But surely many passengers would see the removal of the famous funnel as being in poor taste?

"Yes, but wait until you see what's replacing the funnel," said Cpt McNaught. "It's good."

The new owners of QE2 have been travelling on board for weeks, working out their plans. "They seem to change every day," said one engineering officer. "I don't like the sound of it - this won't be the QE2 we all know."

But the ship is 41 years old and well past its prime. QE2 may still be the fastest cruise ship afloat, but it does not meet the expectations of today's passengers, accustomed to the comforts of newer cruise ships.

To bring the vessel up to modern safety standards would cost a fortune. Environmentally, the liner is a basket case with fuel economy: 49ft (15m) to the gallon.

QE2's great predecessor, Queen Mary, has been a floating hotel at Long Beach in California since 1967. It has now been a tourist attraction longer than it was at sea.

QE2 was sold for £50m. The buyer, real estate developers Nakheel, will spend far more than that before re-opening the liner to guests in 2010. It wants the ship as a centrepiece of Palm Jumeirah, the palm-shaped fronds of reclaimed land and beach on the Dubai waterfront.

Nakheel also announced plans this week for the world's tallest building: a skyscraper more than 1km (0.62 miles) high.

The company has signed a "gagging" contract with Cunard that prevents it from talking about its plans until after the last passengers and crew have left the ship.

On Friday evening, QE2 sails from Southampton on its 805th and last transatlantic round crossing to New York. It will leave its home port for the final time for Dubai at 1915 GMT on Tuesday, November 11th. An enormous farewell is planned.

Happy Birthday Hugh! We hope you are the "Six Pack" Palin is always referencing to in her boring speeches.

VIDEO: New SARAH PALIN Porno 'Nailin' Paylin' Coming from Hustler

This new Sarah Palin impersonation may be a little out of Tina Fey's league, but Hustler is due to release its own video starring a Sarah Palin look-alike titled 'Nailin' Paylin.' Undoubtedly set to be the most-watched porn flick in recent memory, flick was shot over the weekend in the Valley.

The "new" naughty Sarah is porn star Lisa Ann (pictured), the self-professed "Mattress Actress." The plot, in short, is two drunk Russians are driving past Palin's home when they run out of gas. Mmmmm.... I haven't been so excited to see Het-sex in ages.

And what's more? To boot, there's also a threeway with Hillary Clinton and Condoleezza Rice look-alikes. I dunno so much about that. But Sarah's pretty sexy, so doggone it, that sounds good to me.

TMZ's got some great shots and a vid clip from the, ahem, 'shoot.

Tina Fey's Saturday Night Live's impersonations have garnered so much attention, that the "real" Sarah Palin has decided to make a visit to "SNL." According to the New York Post's Cindy Adams, "She's booked. It's confirmed. Done deal. Sketches are being sketched as we speak. She - eyeglasses, haircomb, designer jacket and trunkful of gosh-darns, golly-gees and gol-dangs - will be on "SNL" Saturday night, Oct. 25. Sarah's rehearsal time has already been penciled in for Friday the 24th.

So, assuming that "Nailin' Paylin" gets the same ammount of attention, think the VP candidate will stop by Hustler's sets? MMM..... Anyway, reports of the porn first surfaced when an ad for a Palin-lookalike porn actress was posted on Craigslist. Now, get to know the new "Sarah," Lisa Ann, a little more in this clip:

Madonna Heckles Palin at NYC Concert

Madonna isn't "hung up" on Sarah Palin.

The singer, 50, made repeated swipes at the Republican vice presidential candidate while performing her Sticky & Sweet Tour Tuesday at NYC's Madison Square Garden.

During her tune "I Love New York," Madonna told the audience - which included an enthusiastic Diddy, Rosie O'Donnell and designer Michael Kors - "you know who can get off of my street? Sarah Palin! I'm gonna kick her ass if she don't get off of my street!"

She then mocked the Alaska governor's accent, sarcastically telling the crowd, "I love her."

Later, while screeching her guitar, she made yet another crack: "This is the sound of Sarah Palin's husband's snowmobile when it won't start up in the wintertime." She then performed her hit "Hung Up."

Madonna also heckled Palin at her show Saturday at the Meadowlands in New Jersey, the New York Post reports.

She shouted: "Sarah Palin can't come to my party! Sarah Palin can't come to my show. It's nothing personal."

Rosie O'Donnell: The Next Carol Burnett?

The table's set for Rosie O'Donnell's holiday-season stab at reviving the variety genre.

NBC will air "Rosie's Variety Show" live from New York on the night before Thanksgiving -- Nov. 26 -- at 8 p.m. This special, which has been in the works for months, is believed to be the precursor to a regular variety show fronted by O'Donnell that would bow in the new year.

The hour long event will include celebrity guests, musical acts, comedy skits and a contest both for in-studio and at-home audiences, the network said. David Friedman ("Last Comic Standing," "Last Call With Carson Daly") will exec produce with O'Donnell.

"We want to show people that variety can be done in a new and inventive way for 2008," said Craig Plestis, NBC Entertainment's exec VP for alternative programming, development and specials. "We hope to do it in ways you haven't seen before. It's going to be the YouTube of variety shows."

Sean Penn says: "I Kissed A Boy."

Sean Penn, who is to star in new film Milk, has shared an on-screen kiss with co-star James Franco.

The actor was reportedly so excited about his first gay kiss that he sent a text message to Madonna about it.

Mr Penn and Madonna were married in 1985 but divorced four years later.

Mr Franco said: "After our kiss, Sean texted Madonna and said, 'I just popped my cherry kissing a guy. I thought of you. I don't know why.'"

Mr Penn also has to kiss Mart Martinez in the film. Of the kiss, Mr Martinez said: "I'm performing, and Sean comes onto the dance floor. He grabs me, and he just slaps the biggest kiss on me.

"It felt like the kiss was forever. I'm like, 'Is he going to stop?' I had to close my eyes, I just couldn't believe it!"

Milk will depict the life of Harvey Milk, California’s first openly gay elected official. Milk was assassinated in 1978.

Finally...The Vice Presidential Debate

Well, tonight we are finally going to be treated to an uncensored, unrehearsed, unscripted debate between the two Vice Presidential candidates, Joe Biden & "What's Her Name?"!

I am looking forward to sitting through this 90-minute "comedy" as "What's Her Face?" will be asked to answer questions from the moderator without being "coached" by anyone else. This 90-minute show will likely be as entertaining as the following Saturday Night Live segment from this past Saturday.

I cannot wait to watch her explode in front of what will likely be one of the biggest TV nights in history. It will probably have the largest viewership in the history of televised debates. I just feel sorry for Joe Biden as he will have to sit through that torture. I am sure it will be an interesting night.

Be smart and vote for the right choice!

Get Out & Vote on November 4th!
