Kate Hudson to Play Linda Lovelace

Kate Hudson is reportedly in talks to play porn icon Linda Lovelace in a new biopic.

The Hollywood actress, who is currently pregnant with her second child, is said to have been offered the title role in a film adaptation of Eric Danville's book The Complete Linda Lovelace.

James Franco is in negotiations to play pornographer Chuck Traynor opposite Hudson, according to
www.Deadline.com.

The movie will go up against a rival Lovelace project called Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story, which initially saw Lindsay Lohan cast in the title role before she was replaced by Malin Akerman due to her ongoing personal problems.

Lady Gaga Sings for Cher (and Her Fans) at the MTV Video Music Awards

Lady Gaga had a reason to sing at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards.

The pop star, nominated for a record-setting 13 trophies, took home top honors, winning video of the year for "Bad Romance" – and seized the opportunity to trill for Cher, who presented her with the Moonman trophy.

"I never thought I'd be asking Cher to hold my meat purse," a tearful Gaga said at the podium in a bacon-colored outfit.

"I promised that if I won this tonight, I'd announce the name of my new record," she said. After exhaling, Gaga revealed it is titled Born This Way. Then, she belted out a refrain as Cher looked on. "God makes no mistakes," she sang. "I'm on the right track baby. I was born this way."

Throughout the night, Gaga turned the ceremony, live from L.A.'s Nokia Theater, into her very own fashion show, at one point noting that she wasn't prepared for all her acceptance speeches.

"This outfit's too heavy to walk in," she said while accepting best pop video. "I apologize if I'm a little slow this evening."

Chelsea's Party

Gaga got a lively welcome from show host Chelsea Handler, who poked fun at the pop star's penchant for outrageous outfits. Taking the stage to "Bad Romance" in a tattered, glittery skirt and face-obscuring hat that resembled an over-sized house, Handler earned laughs as she skewered celebrities in her monologue.

Some, like Lindsay Lohan, were happy to laugh at themselves. The starlet, who recently left jail and a court-ordered rehab, appeared at the start of the show in pre-recorded sketch.

Joshing about Handler's love of drinking – the E! host frequently jokes about her taste for vodka – Lohan teased, "Pull it together! Do you think anyone wants to work with a drunk? Take it from me!"

And the winners are...

Best Dance Video: Lady Gaga, “Bad Romance”
Best Collaboration: Lady Gaga feat. Beyonce, “Telephone”
Best Female Video: Lady Gaga, “Bad Romance”
Best Rock Video: 30 Seconds to Mars, “Kings and Queens”
Best Male Video: Eminem, “Not Afraid”
Best Pop Video: Lady Gaga, “Bad Romance”
Best Hip Hop Video: Eminem, “Not Afraid”
Best New Artist: Justin Bieber
Video of the Year: Lady Gaga, "Bad Romance"

Performance Heavy Night

While many awards were handed out, it was performances that dominated the evening.

Two-time winner Eminem kicked off the show with "Not Afraid," backed by a drum corps and string section. He was soon joined by a flame-haired Rihanna, who teamed up with him on "Love the Way You Lie."

Taylor Swift and Kanye West, both the subject of much buzz given last year's antics, also performed separate blistering songs.

And to the delight of screaming female fans, best new artist winner Justin Bieber performed "Baby" outside the Nokia Theater, backed by a team of syncopated dancers.

Lindsay Lohan Lands Racy Movie Role: Porn Star Linda Lovelace

Can one troubled movie star have insight into another? Producers of an upcoming film about the 1970s porn scene hope so – reportedly signing up Lindsay Lohan to play famed adult star Linda Lovelace.

"We've all thought that Lindsay would be a great choice for a while now, and we're all convinced that she is going to do it," says Inferno producer Wali Razaqi, who confirmed the casting choice to the Los Angeles Times. "For at least a year, the director [Matthew Wilder] and I have gone back and forth imagining how awesome of a performance she could give if she was in the movie."

Besides their sharing the same monograms, Razaqi sees broad thematic parallels between Lohan and Lovelace (real name: Linda Susan Boreman), who had drug problems and was famously ambivalent about her career. She died in 2002.

"Not that Lindsay's life is similar in any way – but she's been through a lot of ups and downs," says Razaqi. "A lot of times you're loved and then you're hated, and I think she can relate to those emotions and feelings. One week she's the 'it' girl, and the next, she's the 'What are you doing?' girl."

Razaqi says an announcement about Lohan's casting will be made at the Cannes Film Festival this month.

Lindsay Lohan Controversial Crucifixion Photo

Lindsay Lohan graces the cover of Purple magazine’s Best of the Season issue, in a controversial crucifixion style pose that was taken by photographer Terry Richardson. Dressed in a white flowing low cut robe, the actress is captured wearing a crown of thorns and has her arms outstretched in what some are describing as a blatant attempt to appear Christ-like.

Bill Donohue, head of the Catholic League is particularly troubled by the French magazine’s attempt to portray Lohan as a celebrity martyr. He said, “Not only is the pose inappropriate, the timing is offensive.” Christians around the world begin the most sacred season of the church calendar with the observance of Ash Wednesday on February 17th.

Not long ago Lohan ‘tweeted’ that she is “all about Karma..what goes around comes around.” Donahue quipped, “If she believes that, then it behooves her to apologize to Christians before it’s too late.” He went on to describe her as “spiritually homeless.”

Lindsay Lohan was Dating Heath Ledger
When He Died

Lindsay Lohan was dating Heath Ledger when he died, according to the actress' mother Dina.

In the latest leaked phone conversation between Dina and her ex-husband Michael, the Lohan matriarch claimed back in 2008 that Lindsay was "f**ked up" by the actor's fatal drug overdose in January of that year.

She says, "She was dating Heath when he died. I don't know if you know that, but I know 'cause I would drop her off and they were friends, very, very close...

"That f**ed her up."

In the tape, which appears on
www.RadarOnline.com, Dina also describes her fears Lohan will suffer the same fate as Ledger, adding, "When she's drunk or takes an Adderall (prescribed stimulant) with it she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking.

"She cannot be alone. When she sleeps here she sleeps with me... she has fears from being little..."

Michael Lohan is leaking taped conversations with Dina, Lindsay and her ex-employee Jenni Munro in a bid to convince the Mean Girls star to seek help for an alleged drug addiction.

The move has angered Lindsay, who has blasted her dad in the press, and Munro - who has threatened legal action.

Stevie Nicks wants Lindsay Lohan to "Stand Back"

Lindsay Lohan reportedly expressed an interest in buying the film rights to Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks' life. The New York Times asked Ms. Nicks how she felt about the idea of Lindsay playing her on the big screen, to which she responded, "Over my dead body. She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we'll talk."

Lohan, for her part, has claimed that she's not the bad girl most believe her to be. In an interview with Nylon, she said, "I don't drink, I don't do drugs, and I don't lie. I love to act and write and be creative, and I want to help people by playing characters that can send a positive message out to whomever may need it."

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that Lohan has had many opportunities to be creative these days. Her most recent film, Labor Pains, will debut on ABC Family this summer.

Lindsay Lohan Dresses Up Like the Icon...Madonna!

Lindsay Lohan will take any opportunity she can to dress up like an icon. So she probably jumped when Glamour offered her the chance to play Madonna for their American Icons: 7 Decades of Rule Breakers, Risk Takers and Style Makers photo shoot.

It was probably a little disappointing for LiLo when they wouldn't let her be the Sex era Madonna—the only thing Lindsay loves more than a good ol' homage is posing naked. But she gave "Like a Virgin" Madonna her all, and it definitely turned out better than Emma Stone's Carrie Bradshaw, Camilla Belle's Mary Tyler Moore and Emma Robert's Audrey Hepburn.
