A trio of terrific shows loaded with talented people will get to finish their runs on ABC this summer.
Dirty Sexy Money, Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone were all canceled by the network after their sophomore season. They each got off to a promising start but could not recover from Hollywood’s writers strike which forced the shows to be off the air for an extended period of time and killed any ratings momentum they may have had.
According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello, the shows will finish their runs on consecutive Saturdays at 10 pm/ET beginning May 30 and ending Aug. 8.
Here’s the specific breakdown per show:
* Daisies‘ final three episodes will air May 30 to June 13
* Eli Stone’s final four episodes will air June 20 to July 11
* Dirty Sexy Money’s final four episodes will air July 18 to Aug 8.
Each show had a certain gay sensibility or element. Dirty included transgender actress Candis Cayne as the mistress of William Baldwin’s character, Daisies is from gay writer-producer Bryan Fuller and Stone’s musical-fantasy sequences included several appearances by George Michael.
All shows are worth watching until the very end!
