Glee Reality Show on the Way

Glee bosses have confirmed plans to launch a TV talent contest to give aspiring stars the chance to win a role in the hit show.

The Glee Project has been in the works for months, but was previously reported to have been axed to let the series' writers concentrate on making the popular musical, which stars Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch and Lea Michele.

TV chiefs have now decided to go ahead with the spin-off show, which will see auditions held across the U.S. to find youngsters for the song and dance competition.

Open casting calls will take place next month in Chicago, Illinois and in Dallas, Texas in January, during which producers will be looking for singers, actors and dancers over the age of 18 who could convincingly play the role of a high school teenager.

A press release reveals the search is on for "talented young men and women with strong vocal, acting, dancing abilities and big personalities".

The show is due to air in June on the Oxygen network.

Prosecutors Consider Charges Against Sister Wives Stars

Police in Utah have wrapped up an investigation into the Sister Wives stars for potential felony polygamy and submitted the case to prosecutors to decide whether to file charges.

The case focuses on Kody Brown and his wives Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn, whose lives are depicted on the TLC reality show that premiered last month.

The Utah County Attorney's Office received the case from Lehi, Utah, police on Monday. Polygamy cases are extremely rare in the state and authorities say this one was prompted by the publicity from the show. The maximum penalty for felony polygamy is five years in prison.

Utah County Attorney Jeff Buhman said he didn't know when a decision on charges would be made. "It varies. It could take months," he tells E! News.

The Browns have said they were "disappointed" in the investigation but "knew there would be risks" in doing the show.

Steven Slater Gets Reality TV Show Offer?

Apparently it pays to have a hissy-fit and quit your job in dramatic and well-publicized fashion.

Stone Entertainment is said to be interested in hiring former JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater to host a show in which various disgruntled workers quit their jobs in extravagant ways, according to TMZ.com.

Police are investigating just what happened when Slater flipped out aboard a JetBlue plane at Kennedy Airport in New York. The 20-year airline veteran allegedly used the plane's intercom to chew out a passenger and announce he was quitting, grabbed two beers and made his grand escape down the emergency slide.

Investigators are increasingly skeptical about Slater's story about a rude passenger hitting his head with the overhead luggage compartment door, however. And if Slater's story doesn't add up, he can likely kiss that reality show goodbye.

Look Out, Wasilla: Levi Johnston Eyes Run for Mayor

Some people will do anything for attention – including running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

The latest hopeful to toss his hat into the ring? None other than reality-star wannabe Levi Johnston, who hopes his campaign will attract viewers to his proposed TV reality show.

Johnston, 20, has paired with the veteran reality firm Stone and Co., already responsible for TLC's Extreme Food Sculpting, to pitch a Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office pilot, the production company confirms to The Hollywood Reporter.

Those with memory loss may need to be reminded that Johnston's almost mother-in-law, Sarah Palin, was mayor of the small town (population 10,000) from 1992-2002, before becoming governor of the state.

Not that Levi appears to be seeking higher office. Besides tracking the former Playgirl model on the campaign trail, his show would also offer an inside look at his being a father to his 19-month-old son (with Bristol Palin) Tripp and his quest for a Hollywood career.

Speaking to Variety, Johnston said it was the producers' idea – not his – to add the run for mayor to the show. Already hobnobbing in Hollywood, Johnston attended last Sunday's Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

Earlier, there had been talk of Johnston and Bristol Palin's sharing their wedding and early married life with a reality-TV camera crew, but that potential plan went up in smoke when the two young parents went their separate ways last week.

Reality Sweethearts Jeff and Jordan: The Amazing Race Made Us Stronger

After falling for each other in the Big Brother house last summer, salesman Jeff Schroeder, 31, and salon receptionist Jordan Lloyd, 22, decided to take their new relationship for a test drive around the world on The Amazing Race. While they didn’t win any money this time around, the couple agree the experience gave them new tools to make their long-distance (he’s in Chicago. Illinois; she’s in Charlotte, North Carolina) relationship last.

So sad to see you guys go as you never ceased to entertain.
Jeff: At least we accomplished something.

Much of the entertainment value came from Jordan’s ditsy moments — the granddaddy of them all being confusing Noah’s Arc and Joan of Arc.
Jordan: I was like, “I don’t want to watch this episode because I know they’re gonna show that stupid thing I said about Joan.” If I ever learned about her, that was a long time ago and I’d forgotten. Racing, you’re not always thinking straight and the first thing that came to my head when I heard Arc was Noah and animals. It made me feel better when Caite said the same thing. At least I wasn’t the only one.

Where did you go wrong? Biggest misstep?
Jordan: Directions. It was cold. We didn’t communicate well with each other. The whole cab ride in Germany really threw us off for the next two legs. That guy took us probably 40 minutes out of the way and put us so far behind. It just went downhill from there.
Jeff: That really messed with our heads. It’s hard to play catch-up.

It must be hard to swallow when bad luck — or even worse, bad directions — are to blame for your elimination.
Jeff: If you can’t trust a tourist office, who should you get directions from? But one hand washes the other. When something good happens in life, usually something bad happens. We got sent on some unfortunate cab rides and got some bad directions, but we also got saved by a non-elimination [round] and a U-turn. We should have been off the show two weeks earlier. Not winning wasn’t the worst thing ever. We had a great time doing the show. We learned a lot about each other and doing the show made us a stronger couple.

Glad to hear you guys are still dating. Many contestants who have known each other much longer weren’t so lucky.
Jordan: The Race helped us learn more about each other. A lot of things I didn’t understand about Jeff going in, I understand now. Like sometimes I felt he was yelling at me because he was raising his voice. I kept telling him, “Lower your tone with me.” I learned that’s just Jeff being competitive. I thought it was going to make or break us. It just made us stronger.

Jeff, is it fair that people accused Jordan of holding you back?
Jeff: I was worried about that going in and sometimes she could have tried a little harder, but I was also too competitive. It kept me from communicating well with Jordan. I was trained in sales and she was never in sports so she doesn’t share my way of thinking. I dealt with her like a coach would a player, but that’s not the way to do it with her. You have to talk a little softer and understand where she’s coming from. But we learned from it. She turned it up a level and I toned it down a little and that’s going to help us throughout life.

Is this it for you guys and reality TV or is there another show you’re hoping to get on?
Jeff: I think people are getting tired of us and need a break, so we’re going back to our regular lives. We loved every minute of our 15 minutes of fame and I’m sure we’re gonna miss it, so I would never say never.

Survivor's Richard Hatch Gets Early Prison Release

Reality TV star Richard Hatch has been released from a federal prison after failing to pay taxes on his winnings from hit show Survivor.

Hatch, 47, was crowned the winner of Survivor: Borneo in 2000, but he was indicted and sentenced to four years behind bars in 2005 on charges of tax evasion on the $1 million plus he'd earned from the show, as well as TV appearances and property taxes.

Prison officials have confirmed he was released from a facility in Morgantown, West Virginia on May 11th for good behaviour, and will spend the next six months in a halfway house in the area before going into supervised release. Hatch was originally due to be released in October.

The Top 15 Favorite Gay Reality Stars

While the number of gay/bisexual characters on scripted television has, at best, held steady over the past decade (and doesn’t exactly represent the diversity of gay men in the real world), it’s a different story when it comes to the depiction of gay men on reality television. Indeed, along with the explosion of reality programming has come a dramatic increase in the numbers and types of gay and bisexual men appearing on our television screens.

From the groundbreaking appearance of Pedro Zamora on "The Real World: San Francisco" to the current seasons of "The Amazing Race, Survivor: Tocantins", and "Make Me a Supermodel", there is a breadth of gay men that is quite frankly astounding.

In fact, there have now been so many gay and bisexual men on reality television that AfterElton.com let their readers choose their favorites of all time.

By clicking here: http://www.afterelton.com/TV/2009/4/gayrealitytvstars you will find out who made it to the Top 15 spots. The top fifteen run the gamut of ages, ethnicities and types reflecting the range of gay men that exist in today’s world.

Big Brother 10: My Winning Choice

Well if you really know me, you will know that I have been a fan of BIG BROTHER ever since it came on the air back in the summer of 2000. I have been watching it ever since.

This season I was hoping that Libra would have been the winner of BB10, however all her plotting and the chaos she created in the house, ultimately jeopardized her winning opportunities which caused her to be evicted from the BB house.

Well, I had to go with my second favorite and that is...Memphis aka Robert Garrett the "Mixologist" from Los Angeles who went to school at Florida State University. Memphis has been flying under the radar which is helping him reach the Final Four. I'm hoping he makes it to the Final Two with Dan...and ultimately wins Big Brother 10.

Make sure to watch BB10 on CBS every Sunday (8 pm ET), Tuesday (9pm ET) and Thursday (8pm ET - live show) to see if Memphis wins the $500,000 Grand Prize.

Go Memphis!
