Matthew McConaughey Cleans Up for New Dolce & Gabbana Ad

We never had any doubt that beneath Matthew McConaughey‘s California-cool demeanor beat the heart of a gentleman–and the actor’s newest gig proves just how debonair he can be.

Looking red-carpet ready in an elegant tux, Matthew fronts the campaign for Dolce & Gabbana’s newest scent, The One Gentleman.

“A gentleman has respect for himself, that is the basis of his respect and consideration for others,” he explains of the inspiration behind the new scent. “He has a strength and grace that translates into how he moves, how he makes a decision, or even how he holds himself still and says nothing at all.”

And while the ad, shot by Jean Baptiste Mondino, won’t be hitting magazines until October, we have this exclusive sneak peek.

This isn’t the actor’s first time in front of the camera for the beauty brand, having launched the original The One men’s scent in 2008.

The new juice, which contains notes of pepper, grapefruit, fennel, patchouli and vanilla, will begin rolling out at the end of this month and will be available nationwide in October. Prices begin at $42 for a 30 ml eau de toilette.

Madonna’s New Dolce & Gabbana Ad Campaign

When we first learned that Madonna would be fronting Dolce & Gabbana’s new spring ads, we couldn’t wait to see what the pop icon and the Italian designers had up their sleeves.

For her latest high-fashion role, the Queen of Pop teamed up with famed photographer Steven Klein to capture a side of the star hardly ever seen: the housewife!

Inspired by iconic Italian actress Anna Magnani in the 1951 Luchino Visconti film Bellissima, the ad campaign seeks to capture a woman’s human side through the simplicity of daily gestures, according to Dolce & Gabbana. Clad in crocheted tops and dresses, floral skirts and leopard spots from the Italian label, Madonna washes dishes, eats spaghetti with her fingers and chops vegetables.

The eight campaign images were shot in black and white in Manhattan and will appear in magazines worldwide at the beginning of January.

Madonna’s Next Role: Dolce & Gabbana Model!

After two seasons as the face of Louis Vuitton, the Queen of Pop is ready to take on her next high-fashion challenge: modeling for Dolce & Gabbana!

The Italian design duo announced on their online magazine www.Swide.com, that Madonna will be the face of their Spring/Summer 2010 campaign.

This won’t be the first time the Italian designers have teamed up with Madonna. They first collaborated with the star back in the early ’90s when they designed the iconic costumes for her 1993 The Girlie Show tour and then, just last year, they designed costumes for her return to the stage during the Sticky and Sweet tour.

“To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true,” Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana tell their online magazine. And with their Sicilian-inspired Spring/Summer collection revisiting iconic pieces, such as their signature corset, it is only fitting that Madonna, who shares an Italian heritage with the designers, brings the collection to life.
Madonna’s Dolce & Gabbana ads were shot last week in New York City by photographer Steven Klein. We can’t wait to see the photos!

Star Sighting: Three Men & a Lady

Madonna is the spot-on star flanked by "good friend" Jesus Luz and designer pals Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana following her Sticky & Sweet tour stop in Milan, Italy, on Tuesday.

One Dress, One Night, Two Divas

It was a real-time fashion faceoff last night as Whitney Houston and Madonna both hit the scene in Europe in their snow leopard-print Dolce & Gabbana dresses.

Madonna hit the after-party for her Milan concert at the Gold restaurant, owned by longtime pals Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, along with her “good friend” Jesus Luz in her printed sheath.

Meanwhile, in London, Whitney attended a playback party for her new album I Look to You in the same curve-hugging dress. We love seeing both singers looking so hot
