Rihanna, Kanye West and Jay-Z to Open
New Jay Leno Show

R&B stars Rihanna, Kanye West and Jay-Z will perform on the premiere of Jay Leno's comedy and chat show in September, in a apparent bid to grab hip, young viewers to NBC's new primetime experiment.

NBC said on Thursday that the trio would perform "Run This Town" from Jay-Z's new album, "The Blueprint 3," when "The Jay Leno Show" makes its debut on September 14th at 10pm.

It will be one of the first, major public performances for Rihanna, 21, since she was assaulted in February by her then boyfriend, singer Chris Brown.

Rihanna, rapper West and Jay-Z are among the most popular R&B artists in the United States.

NBC's decision to move the popular late night talk show host to the primetime slot five days a week is being closely watched by the TV industry as it seeks to trim costs and retain audiences.

Leno told reporters this week that his show would have more comedy and less chat. New features include a "green car" challenge in which celebrities will be invited to race a high-tech electric car round a track built outside Leno's new studio.

Brown has pleaded guilty to punching Rihanna in Los Angeles in February and is expected to be sentenced later this month to five years probation and 180 days of community service.

Chris Brown and Rihanna Record a Duet

Even with a criminal case pending, Chris Brown and Rihanna are making music together.

Brown, 19, who is charged with two felonies in the alleged beating of Rihanna, recently recorded a duet with her, the song's producer, Polow Da Don, tells People. "My heart goes out to both Chris and Rihanna for what has happened in the past," says Polow. "They are both great artists to work with, and I wish them well."

To the shock of friends and family, the pair reconciled days before Brown's court appearance and have now spent time together recording a song that, a source tells People, is "sweet and sentimental" and "expresses the challenges of a love relationship.

Rihanna and Chris Brown Are Back Together

Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together. The pair have reunited almost three weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered the "Umbrella" singer on Feb. 8, a source tells People.

"They're together again. They care for each other," says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean "Diddy" Combs's homes, on Miami Beach's Star Island.

Adds the source: "While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves."

In its latest issue, People reports that Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday one week ago. "He called to wish her happy birthday," a source told the magazine. "They've reached out to each other. It's been mutual."

Brown was booked by LAPD for making criminal threats but the case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately determine which charges, if any, will be prosecuted.

Tabloid Reports: Rihanna Pregnancy Shocker

"Oh my God, I could lose the baby!"

Rihanna has told pals that horrifying thought raced through her mind as her boyfriend Chris Brown brutally beat her - because she thinks she is pregnant, as reported by The ENQUIRER

The talented pop beauty had already told Brown that she might be expecting his baby, and friends fear that may be what triggered his violent rage.

Brown, 19, now faces assault charges for the February 8 attack, but prosecutors are considering adding felony domestic abuse counts and even an attempted murder charge, which could put the R&B singer behind bars for years.

"If Rihanna is pregnant, Chris could have killed the baby," claimed a distressed insider.

Recalling her terror when Brown started pummeling her, Rihanna told friends: "All I could think was, 'Oh, my God, I could lose the baby!'"

Chris Brown Booked for Alleged Assault of Rihanna

The biggest news of the Grammys didn't take place at the Grammys.

Singer Chris Brown turned himseld in to authorities last night after he and his girlfriend, singer Rihanna, did not show up to the event, and word quickly spread that Brown was wanted for questioning in an alleged assault:

"An official police statement did not name Rihanna, but said the woman in the incident 'suffered visible injuries.' Details of what took place between the two were sketchy, but authorities and sources said that about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Brown and a woman got into an argument in a rented Lamborghini on North June Street in Hancock Park. Brown stopped the car, the two got out, and the argument escalated. A witness called 911, but police said Brown was gone by the time officers arrived at the scene. The woman identified Brown as her assailant. Authorities did not describe her injuries or whether she was treated for them. The sources said the woman was Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty."

The incident reportedly occurred on tghe couple's way home from Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party.

The L.A. Times continues: "Brown was booked on a charge of making criminal threats, and police said he remained under investigation for felony charges of domestic violence. 'The exact charge was criminal threats and it is going to be investigated as a criminal threats investigation,' said Police Sgt. Bridget Pickett, who spoke to reporters at the Wilshire Division police station, where Brown was booked. “There may be domestic violence charges added later, but that will be up to the district attorney’s office.' Pickett defined a criminal threat as “a threat that is made to a person with the likelihood that it may occur.” She said that Brown arrived at the police station about 6:30 p.m. dressed in a T-shirt and jeans. 'He was very professional,' she said. Brown was joined at the station by his lawyer, Mark Geragos, and Geragos’ investigator, Scott Ross. After posting $50,000 bail, Brown left the station before 9 p.m."

Rihanna's spokesperson released a statement saying only "Rihanna is well. Thank you for your concern and support."
