John Stamos Takes On Role In Broadway Musical

E.R. star John Stamos is returning to Broadway. He will revive Dick Van Dyke's role in a modern remake of 1960 musical Bye Bye Birdie.

The actor will join Gina Gershon in the new stage production by the Roundabout Theater Company, his first role since the long-running medical drama came to an end on Thursday.

Stamos will portray Albert, the manager of rocker Conrad Birdie, in the show, while Gershon will play his love interest Rosie.

Bill Irwin and Jayne Houdyshell will also star in the forthcoming production.

Stamos has previously starred on the New York stage in Roundabout revivals of Cabaret and Nine, reports Daily Variety.
