According to sources at CBS, the network is set to make an unprecedented renewal, ordering a full three seasons of the Two and a Half Men.The Charlie Sheen starrer is the top-rated comedy on TV.
The deal would carry it through its ninth season.
At the same time, its prime-time partner The Big Bang Theory will reportedly get a two season renewal.
This allows the network to plan on having popular, anchor shows in the schedule. That is not only appealing to advertisers, but lets execs schedule new shows as part of a successful comedy block.
