Housewife Teri Hatcher is Swine Flu Free

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher has brushed off reports she's suffering from swine flu.

Cast and crew on the set of her hit drama were said to have been put on high alert after Hatcher notified show producers she had been diagnosed with the H1N1 virus and pulled out of production scheduled for this week.

But a spokesperson for Hatcher insists the actress is actually suffering from laryngitis.

Her rep tells TVGuideMagazine.com, "She is sick and has laryngitis, but has already finished her work for the week and is not scheduled to work again until next week."

Teri Hatcher Diagnosed with Swine Flu?

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher has brought production on the hit TV show to a standstill after becoming the latest celebrity struck down by swine flu, according to reports.

Cast and crew on the set of the drama have been put on high alert after Hatcher notified show producers she had been diagnosed with the virus known as H1N1, reports TVGuideMagazine.com.

Hatcher's illness comes at a bad time for the production crew - she was due to join all of her co-stars to shoot an important Christmas episode said to involve a small plane crash.

The actress has joined a growing list of celebrity stars who have been crippled by the swine flu - Backstreet Boys singer Brian Littrell and Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint have both contracted the virus.

Wolverine's Mexico Premiere Postponed Due to Swine Flu

Not even a superhero is immune to the swine flu virus.

Twentieth Century Fox has decided to postpone the premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine set for Wednesday in Mexico City, as the city remains paralyzed by the virus that has killed over 100 people. Dozens of cases of swine flu have also been detected stateside. (For information about the swine flu,

"We were not only concerned about Hugh's welfare – and we would never send anyone into harm's way – but we also have an enormous office filled with people we care about," says a rep for the studio. "There was no point in proceeding under the current conditions."

The Mexico government has asked for residents to stay home, shutting down schools and even the nation's top movie-theater chains have opted to shut down dozens of cinemas. Hugh Jackman was the only cast member from the film expected to attend the Mexico City premiere.

"There is a possibility it could be rescheduled," the rep says of the premiere. "Hugh is obviously beloved [there] so we'll see what happens. We'll monitor the situation."
