Farrah Fawcett Left Over $3M to Cancer Charity

Farrah Fawcett was dedicated to her cancer charity, and, according to tax documents, she left $3.3 million to the Farrah Fawcett Foundation after her death in June 2009. The actress apparently bequeathed two separate contributions of $3,269,169 and $50,000.

According to RadarOnline.com, actor Harrison Ford was one of the first people to donate to the charity, handing over a personal cheque for $5,000.

Financial records show the foundation donated $85,000 to two charities last year, The Angeles Clinic Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The documents reveal the foundation is currently worth at least $5 million.

Following her death, it was revealed Farrah had left the bulk of her $10 million savings to troubled son Redmond O’Neal, 24, while her long-term partner Ryan O’Neal was excluded from her will completely.

In June, Farrah’s friends and family – including Ryan, Redmond, Ryan's daughter Tatum O'Neal and best friend Alana Stewart – gathered at the new offices of the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, and pledged to continue the work started by the late star.

Alana said: "If I can help carry on Farrah's mission for the foundation, it's an honour for me. I feel almost like she's a guardian angel watching over me, and I feel like she's smiling down on us and very happy that she died for a cause. She felt that she could help a lot of people and she could give a lot of people inspiration, courage and hope."

O'Neal Family Commemorates Anniversary of Farrah Fawcett's Passing

Ryan, Tatum and Redmond O’Neal commemorated the one year anniversary of the death of Farrah Fawcett Friday by visiting the actress’ Los Angeles gravesite.

Redmond, Fawcett’s 25-year-old son, was on a day pass from a sober living facility where he is undergoing court-ordered drug rehab.

"I saw my mom’s gravesite for the first time today," Redmond said at a private gathering Friday evening to celebrate the opening of The Farrah Fawcett Foundation, founded to promote funding for alternative methods of cancer research. "I miss my mother so much. I’m glad she’s not suffering anymore. I know she’s looking down on us."

"I wish I could talk to her," Ryan said of his companion of more than 25 years. "Having Farrah gone has been very hard. It hurts. I don’t know what Redmond is going through. He is quiet about it, but he must be suffering terribly."

"Dad is an emotional man, and Farrah’s death has taken its toll on him," says Tatum, who recently reconciled with her father after years of estrangement. "But our being able to reconnect as a family is so beautiful. Farrah would be so happy that we’re all here."

Ryan O'Neal Misses Farrah Fawcett Every Day

It's been a year since her death, but Ryan O'Neal says he can still hear Farrah Fawcett's voice.

The actor is still grieving for his late long-term partner -- who passed away on June 25, 2009 -- and admits he misses the Charlie's Angels star every day.

Ryan said in an interview with TV show Today: "I hear her voice, I see her silhouette. I miss her cooking. I haven’t had a good meal since she left me. It’s harder than I thought. I miss her. We all miss her.”

Ryan dated the Hollywood star -- who died aged 62 after losing a three-year battle with anal cancer -- on and off for over 20 years and they had a son, Redmond O'Neal, together.

The 69-year-old star insists Redmond is now finally getting his life back on track following his time in jail and rehab for drug offenses. Ryan said of his son: "I’m greatly relieved and gratified by his progress in the last year. We see him all the time, and he’s beautiful. His mother would be very proud of him."

The Paper Moon star is hoping once his son is released from the sober living environment he is currently required to stay at in Pasadena, California, the pair will be able to mourn Farrah's death together.

He said: "We haven’t done it together yet I know he grieves and I grieve, but we really haven’t put our heads together. We thought maybe we should take a trip and do it that way, but that hasn’t happened.”

Ryan O'Neal Keeps a Shrine to Farrah Fawcett

Ryan O'Neal built a small memorial to his late lover Farrah Fawcett, who died last year from anal cancer. He keeps memoirs and photographs of the Charlie's Angels star and their families on top of his TV in his bedroom, his daughter revealed.

Tatum O'Neal -- with whom he recently reunited after several years' estrangement -- revealed: "He has this thing, like a shrine, on top of his television in his bedroom. There is a picture of Farrah and pictures of his kids."

Tatum -- who starred with her father in a number of films as a child, including Paper Moon, where she won an Oscar aged 10 -- noticed the shrine during a recent visit to her father's home.

The pair have always had a troublesome relationship but managed to put their past behind them after they met up for the first time in years at Farrah's funeral.

However, Ryan initially didn't recognize Tatum and asked her out on a date.

She explained: "Dad hadn't seen me in a long time and I looked a lot different, with long hair. So he says to me, as a joke, 'Hey baby, you want to go and get a drink?' I said, 'Daddy, you know I don't drink,' and then he realized it was me and went, 'Tatum!' "

The pair are now trying to rebuild their father/daughter relationship and focus on the future.

Tatum explained: "I love my father but I also realize he won't change. These days I treat him with respect and love. He told me he's sorry for the past. When he wasn't in my life, it felt like a part of me was missing."

Ryan and Farrah were together between 1982 and 1997, and again from 2001 until her death. They have one son, Redmond, together.

The Love Story star, 69, reconnected with old pal Tiegs last June when they paid their last respects to the tragic Charlie's Angels star at her funeral. But their relationship soon took a romantic turn as the 62-year-old beauty comforted a grieving O'Neal and they are now an item.

The stars went public with the romance earlier this month when they attended the Hollywood launch of Raquel Welch's new book, Beyond the Cleavage, together at an event co-hosted by Fawcett's best friend, Alana Stewart.

An eyewitness tells the tabloid, "He had his arm around Cheryl's waist, and it was clear that they were very happy together. "They both are in their 60s and have been around the block - but they are thrilled to have found each other."

Farrah Fawcett's Executors Blast Outrageous Money Misuse Allegations

The executors of Farrah Fawcett's estate have slammed allegations of financial mismanagement, branding the accusations by producer/filmmaker Craig Nevius "outrageous".

Estate trustee Richard B. Francis sued Nevius in January, claiming he "sensationalised" the Charlie's Angels star's story in "amateurish" footage he produced for a documentary about her illness.

In the legal papers, Nevius is accused of seeking "misplaced revenge" when Fawcett rejected his work, by revealing private and personal information about the actress, giving out footage without her consent and embezzling cash from the trust she set up for the film.

Nevius denied the claims, insisting he enjoyed a cordial working relationship with Fawcett before her death last June after a battle with anal cancer.

He recently filed his response to Francis' lawsuit, alleging the legal action itself is a misuse of Fawcett's funds and accusing executors of withholding cash from the tragic star's beneficiaries, including her elderly father.

The suit goes on to takes aim at Fawcett's longtime partner Ryan O'Neal and the actress' best friend Alana Stewart, who filmed the footage for Farrah's Story, the show which documented her losing her fight against the disease.

Nevius alleges Stewart took advantage of her relationship with Fawcett to boost sales of her book about life with the star.

But attorneys for Fawcett's estate have slammed Nevius' claims.

Howard Weitzman, who also represents O'Neal, Stewart and Francis, tells the Associated Press: "I've read Mr. Nevius' response to our complaint which I think contains spurious and outrageous allegations. I'm confident the truth will all come out during the course of the litigation."

Ryan and Tatum O'Neal Disappointed by Farrah Fawcett's Oscars Snub

Farrah Fawcett's longtime partner, Ryan O'Neal, has joined other Hollywood figures including Jane Fonda and Roger Ebert in expressing dismay that Fawcett was left out of the "In Memoriam" segment of Sunday's Academy Awards.

"There is no comment other than we were disappointed that she was not included," a rep for Ryan O'Neal stated.

Fonda and Ebert both Tweeted about the snub during the broadcast. "No Farrah Fawcett in the memorial tribute? Major fail," Ebert wrote. "And where was Farrah Fawcett? She should have been included #oscars #FAIL," wrote Fonda.

The "In Memoriam" portion of the broadcast features a montage of film-industry figures who have passed away in the previous year. Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences spokeswoman Leslie Unger says the segment can only honor so many people.

"Every year it's an unfortunate reality that we can't include everybody," she tells the Associated Press.

Even before the show, Academy executive director Bruce Davis spoke about the difficult process of creating the segment. "It is the single most troubling element of the Oscar show every year," he told AP last week. "Because more people die each year than can possibly be included in that segment."

Davis explained that he and a small committee narrow an initial list of more than 100 people down to about 30. "It gets close to agonizing by the end," he said. "You are dropping people who the public knows. It's just not comfortable."

Tatum O'Neal shared her opinion on Farrah's snub and here's what she had to say "On behalf of myself, my father Ryan O’Neal and my entire family, we are deeply saddened that a truly beautiful and talented actress Farrah Fawcett was not included in the memorial montage during the 82nd Academy Awards. We are bereft with this exclusion of such an international icon who inspired so many for so many reasons. Beautiful, talented Farrah will never be forgotten by her family and amazing fans."

Fawcett, who died last June at age 62, was primarily a TV actress, though she did appear in a number of feature films.

Ryan O'Neal Making Second Farrah Fawcett Documentary

Ryan O’Neal is going to make a second documentary about Farrah Fawcett’s cancer battle. The actor has commissioned a producer to work on a “tribute” show to his long-term love, who died last June, and crews are already in Texas to interview those who were closest to the late star.

Ryan’s publicist, Arnold Robinson, said: "My understanding is that he is collecting recollections/memories of Farrah from her friends and family for archival purposes.”

It is believed the producer of the documentary is Stephanie Lynn, who has regularly been pictured with Ryan since Farrah’s death. It is unclear if anyone who was involved in Farrah’s Story, which chronicled the actress’ fight with cancer and was broadcast on US TV network NBC - is also working on the project. A source told website Radar Online: “It will take a completely different direction to the first documentary.”

In September, Stephanie placed an advertisement in the Hollywood Reporter newspaper saying: "Looking for candid footage of Farrah for upcoming one-hour tribute."

The documentary will also incorporate photographs taken by Samuel Lippke at 62-year-old Farrah’s funeral service, which was held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, a Roman Catholic church in Los Angeles. In a statement posted on his website, Samuel said: "I had the honor of photographing an amazing woman’s funeral. I can’t write much due to discretion rules and I can’t post images that I took... all of my images go straight to Ryan and no-one else.
I photographed some extremely touching moments, bagpipes, tears, rosary beads, eulogies, it was beautiful."

Was Ryan O'Neal Left Out of Farrah Fawcett's Will?

A love story until the very end, Ryan O'Neal stayed with Farrah Fawcett until her death from cancer. So how, then, does he react to reports that the actress left most of her estate to their son Redmond – and nothing to him?

"Farrah's and my relationship was based on a deep love and respect for one another and for our son Redmond," O'Neal says in a statement. "After discussing how her financial affairs would be handled in the event of her passing we agreed that our son Redmond would be the primary beneficiary of her estate. Griffin O'Neal: 'Dad Gave Me Cocaine When I Was 11'

Ryan O'Neal's estranged son Griffin has blasted his father for giving him cocaine when he was just 11 years old.

The 44-year-old actor fell out with his dad in 2007 following a fight at the family home, which ended with Ryan firing a shotgun into the stairwell.

Griffin, who was banned from O'Neal's partner Farrah Fawcett's funeral in June, has sensationally blamed his dad for his lifelong battle against drugs.

He tells U.S. chat show Larry King, "I have had a lifetime of hellacious night crying, staying up too late, wondering what I did to my life. It destroyed me. It wasted many, many years of my life.

"I was 11 years old when he gave me cocaine and said we are going to see a long movie called Barry Lyndon. He said 'It is a very long movie. Maybe this will help you'. I was 11. I could never, ever do that to my child."

Griffin also slammed the 68 year old for being responsible for his sister Tatum and half-brother Redmond's drug-taking.

He adds, "Redmond hung out with Ryan a lot, because Ryan allowed the drug use. He allowed drug use in the house. They party together. They were both arrested. My dad had more dope on him than Redmond did. And that was one of the reasons me and my dad fought. I said, 'You know what? You are killing your son. I don't think you know what you're doing'."

Redmond is currently in a Los Angeles prison on drug offences, while Tatum insists she is now clean.

Alana Stewart: 'O'Neal Affair Claims Are Despicable'

Alana Stewart has slammed allegations she embarked on a love affair with best friend Farrah Fawcett's longterm partner Ryan O'Neal - branding the reports "despicable".

The veteran actor's estranged son Griffin recently accused O'Neal of having an inappropriate relationship with Stewart as Fawcett fought for her life.

Ryan O'Neal and Stewart grew closer after rallying together to support the Charlie's Angels star as she bravely battled anal cancer - but Griffin O'Neal claims their friendship took a romantic turn in Fawcett's final months, before her death on 25 June.

He told In Touch Weekly magazine, "They were sharing a room together."

His allegations were backed up by Javier Salazar, a friend of O'Neal and Fawcett's son Redmond, who said, "Ryan and Alana's relationship was fishy."

Representatives for both O'Neal and Stewart were swift to deny the salacious claims - and now Stewart has taken aim at the people behind them.

She tells website GossipCop.com, “It never happened. Saying that is despicable.

"It's inconceivable anyone would say that. I would never do anything before, during or after Farrah's death. I was a friend of Farrah's for 30 years."

Stewart has also blasted Griffin O'Neal's claim that his father "was using Farrah for her money and fame", insisting that Ryan O'Neal "has never taken a dime from (Fawcett)" and had "always been generous to her".

She adds, "Ryan has plenty of his own money, more money than Farrah did."

Despite her anger over the allegations, the 64 year old has decided not to take legal action against O'Neal's estranged son: "There’s no point in suing Griffin, because it would cost tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees."

Speaking publicly for the first time since the death of his longtime partner Farrah Fawcett on June 25, Ryan O'Neal says he wishes he could have a second shot at the 30-year relationship, and wonders if his own sometimes cruel character somehow led to her fateful illness.

The grieving actor, 68, tells Vanity Fair in its September issue (on sale Aug. 5) that he'd love to "do it over," given the chance, and in the process would change some unpleasant flaws in himself that caused Fawcett pain. "I would have been much kinder, more understanding, more mature," he says. "I'd lose some of the savagery. I don't know how she got cancer; maybe some of it was me."

O'Neal and Fawcett split up in 1998 after a tumultuous 20 years, and reconnected in 2001, after he was diagnosed with leukemia. O'Neal blames that split on, among other things, her menopause – and his own lack of sympathy.

"I believe Farrah was going through some kind of life change," he tells the magazine, which has Fawcett on the cover of half the September issues and pop star Michael Jackson on the cover of the other half. "I didn't have a change of life. I was always a jerk. But they're hard work, these divas; I was sick of it, and I was unappreciated. I just don't think she liked me very much. So I excused myself."

He adds: "We pulled apart, but we never popped loose."

O'Neal says his deficiencies extend beyond his relationship with Fawcett, calling himself a "hopeless father" and relating one disturbing incident from Fawcett's funeral.

"I had just put the casket in the hearse and I was watching it drive away when a beautiful blonde woman comes up and embraces me," said O'Neal. "I said to her, 'You have a drink on you? You have a car?' She said, 'Daddy, it's me – Tatum!' I was just trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it's my daughter. It's so sick."

Farrah Fawcett Leaves All Her Money to Son

Late actress Farrah Fawcett left the bulk of her multi-million dollar fortune to her troubled son Redmond O'Neal - excluding her longterm partner Ryan O'Neal from her will, according to reports.

The Charlie's Angles star lost her battle with anal cancer on last month, aged 62.

Fawcett enjoyed a 15 year relationship with actor O'Neal which ended in 1997 - they reunited shortly after her cancer diagnosis in 2006.

The blonde beauty reportedly updated her will in 2007 and the document leaves the majority of her $5.5 million estate to 24-year-old Redmond, who has long battled addiction and is currently being held behind bars on drugs charges.

According to British tabloid the Mail on Sunday, Fawcett requested Redmond's inheritance be placed in a trust fund and controlled by two executors, who will give him a monthly allowance and funds to buy his own home.

A source tells the newspaper, "Farrah appointed two trustees to make sure the money supports her son's journey into sobriety rather than giving him the means to destroy himself. Redmond's inheritance will be tightly controlled."

The star is also reported to have left a portion of her money to Texas University.

Redmond O'Neal's Final Words to Farrah: A Promise to Be Good

Redmond O'Neal's final conversation with his dying mother Farrah Fawcett allowed him to express a vow to turn around his troubled life, says his father, Ryan O'Neal.

"I held the phone to her ear, so I'm not exactly sure, but I think it was about regret," the elder O'Neal tells Meredith Vieira in a Today show interview airing Tuesday. "And the horror of, of not being able to see her again. And the promise – the promise of a good life. Of a life that she would have be proud of."

Fawcett, who died of cancer on June 25, had not seen her incarcerated son since April, when the 24-year-old was granted a court-approved personal visit to her bedside. He was also permitted to attend, in handcuffs, her June 30 funeral. Redmond is currently serving time at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic, Calif., for violating probation on a previous drug conviction.

Ryan O'Neal, Fawcett's longtime companion, says he is personally answering every letter of condolence received. His other job, the 68-year-old admits, is being strong for Redmond, whom the actor calls "her legacy. And he knows that, finally. It's clear. And he has a plan – a wonderful plan in mind to restore order in his life. And he will, with my help."

Her Final Days

Describing Fawcett's passing at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica as "awful," O'Neal says her physician, Dr. Lawrence Prio, alerted him and Fawcett's close friend Alana Stewart to gather at the bedside once he "thought she would live just another couple of hours. She lived a couple of days," says O'Neal.

"I had a bed put in the room for me. And I just lay by her side. And she wouldn't – move on. She wouldn't pass. She just, she just looked at us with a slight smile. It was awful. And then, all of the sudden, the machines flat-lined. After about 16 hours she was gone."

Ryan O'Neal has blasted explosive new allegations he began a love affair with Farrah Fawcett's best friend Alana Stewart as his longterm girlfriend fought for her life.

A former business partner of Fawcett's goes on to add, "Ryan and Alana are a little too cozy with each other. It is raising eyebrows. They both stayed at Farrah's (home) in the end."

Representatives for both O'Neal and Stewart have denied the salacious claims to In Touch, but have declined to comment further.

Farrah's Funeral: 'Goodbye Sweet Girl'

A tearful Ryan and Redmond O'Neal joined Farrah Fawcett's closest friends and family for the actress's private funeral Tuesday afternoon at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles.

Marla Maples, Joan Collins and Tatum O'Neal were among the 200 guests attending the hour-long Catholic service, where longtime pal Alana Stewart and Fawcett's doctor Lawrence Piro delivered the eulogies.

"Goodbye sweet girl," said Stewart. "[Farrah] never felt sorry for herself during her illness ... she fought cancer furiously."

'Angel in Heaven'

"She's the most beautiful angel in heaven," Stewart added. "She always seemed so indestructible."

With city police and private security lining the streets, Ryan and Redmond arrived at the cathedral around 3:50 p.m. and served as pallbearers, carrying Fawcett's casket, adorned with yellow and orange flowers.

A man in a kilt played "Amazing Grace" on a bagpipe at the beginning of the service, which also included Bible readings and prayer.

Ryan O'Neal sported a gold band on his wedding finger, despite never marrying Fawcett, as he read a verse from the Bible shortly after his son's tribute.

Fawcett's Charlie's Angels co-stars Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith were also at the ceremony to pay their last respects to the actress, who lost her battle with anal cancer last week aged 62.

The church and the coffin were decorated with orange and yellow flowers - the actress' favourite colours - and the funeral program featured a photograph of a smiling Fawcett in her hey-day, with a full head of her trademark curly hair and wearing a silk and sequined dress.

Entertainment Journalist, Eliot Tiegel said, "It was one of the most musical funerals I've ever been to, and that's what happens when you go to a show-business funeral. Overall, it was very stirring."

The intimate service lasted for an hour and the street outside the church was flanked with fans wanting to pay their last respects to Fawcett.

As the star's family and friends left the church after the funeral, Fawcett's 90-year-old father James had to be helped to a waiting limousine as he struggled to contain his grief.

After the service ended, vans shuttled guests to the reception at the Jonathan Club, where a band played Fawcett's favorite songs, including some from Van Morrison.

Doctor Describes Farrah's Final Fight

Farrah Fawcett bravely fought her cancer to the very end, according to her physician. Dr. Lawrence Piro says the Charlie's Angels star, after contracting an infection, had been hospitalized for three weeks before her June 25 death from anal cancer. While she was in treatment, it was discovered that the cancer had spread to her lungs.

"We did what she wanted to do, which was to fight until it was over," Piro says. "It wasn't until the last days when the organ function was not retrievable that we knew, and she knew, that comfort measures were the main things to be done. The resolve in her remained until a few hours before she made her transition."

Piro says that Fawcett, 62, relied on her Catholic faith to help her throughout her ordeal. "She was very spiritual. Definitely for the last six months she slept with a large rosary in her bed all the time." Piro says a priest read her last rites on Wednesday, a day before her death.

Ryan Broken Up

Fawcett passed away in the company of many friends and confidants, including longtime love Ryan O'Neal, 68. "Ryan is very broken up about this. He has good moments and bad moments," says Piro. "The good moments come when he realizes that he was able to stand by her side and help her through this transition. The bad moments come when he realizes that he doesn't know how to face a life without her.

He added, "Ryan and Farrah are soul mates, and while there were times in their relationship when they were more off than on and times more on than off, they were always, throughout, soul mates."

Piro admires how the late star handled her illness in her latter days. "She marched through her illness fearlessly, taking control of her decisions," he says. "[She was] committed to fight all the way and as long as she could for all of the piece of life that she was entitled to."

Ryan O'Neal Pays Touching Tribute to His Beloved Farrah Fawcett

Actor Ryan O'Neal has paid tribute to his longtime partner Farrah Fawcett, who lost her three-year battle with cancer on Thursday morning.

The Charlie's Angels star passed away at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California at 9.28am local time at the age of 62.

She had been re-admitted to the intensive care unit at the beginning of the week and a priest was summoned to her bedside on Wednesday to read the devout Catholic her last rites.

Fawcett was surrounded by just a handful of family and friends as she took her last breaths, including O'Neal, best pal Alana Stewart, hairdresser friend Mela Murphy and doctor Lawrence Piro.

In a statement confirming the tragic news, O'Neal says: "After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away. Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."

He reveals Fawcett was awake and aware of her surroundings shortly before her death, telling People.com, "She now belongs to the angels. She's now with her mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She's in a better place now.

"She was with her team when she passed... Her eyes were open, but she didn't say anything. But you could see in her eyes that she recognised us."

The actress' longtime friend Stewart insists Fawcett may no longer be with them in person, but her memory will live on, adding: "She will always be there as that angel on the shoulder of everyone who loved her."

And Fawcett's publicist Allen S. Miller is confident the star is in a better place now she has been put out of her misery.

He adds, "I am sorry to say our Farrah has passed to a better place and left the pain and confines of her bed behind. She is free to be the woman we all knew and loved. So Few have touched so many. You all keep Fighting the Fight."

Fawcett and O'Neal's son Redmond, 24, was not present at the time of her death - he is currently serving time in prison on drug charges - and the actress' 90-year-old father James failed to make it to her bedside in time from his home in Texas.

A funeral service is expected to be held at the downtown Catholic cathedral in Los Angeles in the next few days.

Hollywood Pays Tribute to Farrah Fawcett

The angels are in mourning.

"Farrah had courage, she had strength, and she had faith. And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels," said Jaclyn Smith after the death of her friend and Charlie's Angels costar Farrah Fawcett.

Cheryl Ladd, who replaced Fawcett on the wildly popular '70s show, says: "I'm terribly sad about Farrah's passing. She was incredibly brave, and God will be welcoming her with open arms."

"I will miss Farrah every day," says Kate Jackson. "She was a selfless person who loved her family and friends with all her heart, and what a big heart it was. Farrah showed immense courage and grace throughout her illness and was an inspiration to those around her. When I think of Farrah I will remember her kindness, her cutting dry wit and, of course, her beautiful smile."

Added Jackson, "Today when you think of Farrah remember her smiling, because that is exactly how she wanted to be remembered."

Fond Remembrances

From pinup, to TV star, to entertainment icon, to hero: Fawcett is being fondly remembered by both Hollywood and the style community.

Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner called Fawcett, who died of cancer at age 62 Thursday morning, the "Marilyn Monroe of the 1970s" whose famous poster "defined what one thinks of as the All-American girl."

"Men fell in love with her and women wanted to look like her," says Hefner of his magazine's cover model. "She had a magic that never went away. She became a part of the pop culture.

Griffin O'Neal, son of Ryan, said, "I never looked at her as a 'star,' or a 'Charlie's Angel.' I looked at her always as this wonderful Southern Belle, a lady. I was fascinated by her. I loved her. She was the most gracious, wonderful person. I always wondered why she was around this family. 'Why are you here?' She was such a beautiful person. Especially in the latter days."

He went on to say, "It was incredible watching her battling to help [her son] Redmond. She had the patience of a giant. I'm so worried about my brother. What's he going to do without her? Farrah was part of my family. My heart is broken. I will miss her forever and ever. She was so kind and gracious."

Charlie's Angels costar John Forsythe said, "Though I did not know her well, Farrah left an indelible mark on me and the public during her one-year reign on Charlie's Angels. She put up a gallant fight against her unforgiving disease, and I send my deepest sympathy and prayers to her family and friends."

Former Husband Mourns

Fawcett's former husband, Lee Majors, says, "She fought a tremendous battle against a terrible disease. She was an angel on earth and now an angel forever."

Hairstylist Jose Eber, who created Fawcett's famous blonde mane, says, "She was blessed with the most amazing hair anybody could have."

"Her hair had its own personality," he says. "In my business, doing hair for so long now, very rarely do you see a person who has hair with such perfection. And it was all natural."

Although Fawcett was known for her beauty and glamour, Robert Duvall, who starred with her in The Apostle, notes that "Farrah had an outstanding talent, better than most feature-film actresses that I've seen. She was great to work with and will be missed."

David Pinsky, an entertainment marketing executive and a longtime friend, says, "It has been a true pleasure to call Farrah my friend for the past 15 years. While we may have met because of who she was, we became friends because of who she is – a good-hearted, funny and generous soul. I will miss her terribly but her spirit lives on inside her son Redmond."
