Lady Gaga And Marc Jacobs Love New York

The two grace the cover of the new issue of V Magazine which highlights those who "are making the city their own way." The mag's editor on why he chose Gaga for the cover: "Just as the Statue of Liberty was France's gift to America, Gaga is, to us, New York's greatest gift to pop culture and fashion."

Based on his pose, Jacobs doesn't think much of the gift of Gaga.

Lance Bass is Together with Marc Jacobs's Ex

There's a new man in Lance Bass's life.

The former 'N Sync singer has been happily dating Lorenzo Martone – designer Marc Jacobs's former fiancĂ© – for two months.

"They're dating each other regularly, really like each other and enjoy each other's company," a friend told People Magazine. "They're going to take it one day at a time and see how it goes."

Although the pair met briefly a few years ago, they reconnected at an amfAR event in early June, following Martone's split from Jacobs.

"Lance wasn't interested in dating right away because he was getting over his own breakup with [Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's] Kyan Douglas," says the friend. "But Lorenzo was persistent, so they started talking and slowly spending more time together and really hit it off."

Since then, Bass, 31, and the Brazil-born Martone, who runs a New York public relations agency he also founded, have been spotted out together in Manhattan and Miami.

So what makes it work? "Lorenzo always thought Lance was really attractive, and Lorenzo is gorgeous, totally Lance's type – tall, dark and handsome," says the source. "They like the same things – movies, dinner with friends. They're very low-key. And it's nice that everyone in their social circles get along."

"When they both found themselves single at the same time, and Lorenzo found out Lance was now living in New York, he jumped at the opportunity to get to know him better."

Marc Jacobs' Beau, Lorenzo Martone, is His New Competition

Living with Marc Jacobs has its benefits because, apparently, his creativity is catching. Marc's longtime partner, Lorenzo Martone, is launching a swimwear line. Lorenzo, an advertising executive-slash-newbie bikini designer, is set to launch his line in July at Miami Swim Week.

The line, Nycked (pronounced nicked), is inspired by Lorenzo's home country of Brazil. In Brazil, Lorenzo explains, swimsuits are considered real fashion. The line is a collaboration between Lorenzo and jewelry designer Jules Kim.

Marc Jacobs' influence is notably absent, Lorenzo says: "Relationships are hard enough without mixing business into them. I don’t advise mixing the personal and professional."

Lorenzo and Jules aimed to create swimwear with an urban, downtown aesthetic—giving it more of a New York feel than Los Angeles. The 20-piece debut collection includes details such as oversized bows, corseting, heat-bonded foil sequins and lace. The primary colors used are black, white and red, with occasional use of nude mesh overlays. Unlike much stylish "swimwear," all pieces of this collection can be worn in the water. Much thought was paid to the functional aspects of the swimsuits, ensuring that wearers will be stylish and comfortable at the same time.

Nycked will range in price from $120 to $210 and will be available in stores in November. We're sure that given Marc's celeb connections, you will be seeing these swimsuits on celebs everywhere.

Have Marc Jacobs & Lorenzo Martone Broken Up?

Despite a romantic wedding in St. Bart's just over four months ago, it seems that fashion industry power couple Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone may have broken up.

The New York Post reports that the couple of two years have gone their separate ways, with Jacobs attending his business partner Robert Duffy's Provincetown wedding solo last week.

Martone, a talent agency executive, may have already moved on, if New York gossip is to be believed. Unfortunately for those of us that admired the extremely fashionable couple, neither Jacobs' nor Martone's reps have dispelled the rumors, with both parties refusing to comment.

Marc Jacobs' Partner Confirms the Pair are Married

Lorenzo Martone has confirmed he and fashion designer Marc Jacobs are married.

Reports last month said the pair had tied the knot but a representative for Jacobs denied they had, despite a wedding cake being delivered to the house.

But Martone, a Brazilian PR executive, told magazine Butt this week that the rumors were true.

He said: "In the end, we just had an intimate ceremony at a friend's house with people who were already on the island.

"Although the official wedding documents won't be signed till later this year, so legally we're not married yet."

They became engaged in March 2009 after a year together and held their ceremony on New Year's Eve in St Barts.

Marc Jacobs to Wed Lorenzo Martone This Summer

Last year, it was rumored for a brief moment in time that fashion designer Marc Jacobs, 45, had wed his Brazilian advertising executive boyfriend, Lorenzo Martone. It eventually turned out that the story was based entirely on someone noticing the couple wearing tuxedos together.

But Jacobs and Martone are indeed engaged - and chances are they might even get married this summer. it's currently rumored that the pair will wed at the Provincetown, Massachusetts home of Jacobs' business partner, Robert Duffy.

Provincetown is a popular wedding destination for many gay and lesbian couples, as Massachusetts extended marriage rights to homosexual couples five years ago.

Designer Marc Jacobs Gets Engaged!

Rumors have been swirling in the fashion world for months, but WWD.com is now reporting that Marc Jacobs is engaged to his ad executive boyfriend Lorenzo Martone.

The couple has been dating for roughly a year and are allegedly going public with the news tomorrow when they arrive in Martone’s homeland of Brazil wearing rings.

They are headed to Sao Paolo to celebrate the designer’s multi-brand store, which opened in January.

The 45-year old designer has another reason to celebrate this week. He was just nominated for the CFDA womenswear designer of the year award.
