Jason Priestley and Luke Perry Recall 'Homoerotic' 90210 Scenes

Reunited and it feels so good.

Beverly Hills, 90210 sensations Jason Priestley and Luke Perry shared a few laughs Wednesday, looking back on their small-screen bromance during the '90s as Brandon Walsh and Dylan McKay.

"It was bordering on homoerotic, wasn't it?" Priestley, 41, says with a laugh on Lopez Tonight of his character's relationship with Perry's character.

The talk show's host George Lopez – a self-proclaimed fan of the teen soap – says Priestley's iconic do during his time on the show paved the way for current signature celebrity hairstyles.

"Your hair was famous back then," Lopez said. "[You] had the classic hairdo."

Pulling up a photo of Jersey Shore's Pauly D alongside an old shot of Priestley, Lopez jokingly adds, "And the beautiful thing is, it's back in style on TV."

While there was no mention of fellow former costars Shannen Doherty or Jennie Garth, Priestley and Perry gave a nod to their pal Brian Austin Green.

When Lopez asked the guys if they ever thought Green's 90210 character David Silver would end up with Megan Fox, Perry, 44, responded with a laugh, "Oh, I trained him well. Absolutely."

Fans of Perry and Priestley haven't seen the last of the duo joining forces. Perry stars in Priestley's self-directed Western flick Goodnight for Justice, which airs January 29th on the Hallmark Channel.

Actor Thomas Jane is testing his music skills on unsuspecting audiences across Los Angeles by playing secret coffee house shows in disguise.

The star lived on the streets of Los Angeles for months, surviving as a busker, before he made it big in Hollywood - and now he's decided to try his hand at music once more.

But Jane admits playing open mics under his own name still makes him nervous - especially after scoring a TV hit with Hung, about a well-endowed sports coach who turns to prostitution to make ends meet - so he's staying under the radar.

He laughs, "I don't want to throw people off and have people stare at my crotch the whole time so I tend to go in disguise."

But the actor risked blowing his cover on late night TV this week - when he showed off his talents to talk show host George Lopez, singing a country tune as he strummed an acoustic guitar.

And then there were six. At the end of the two-hour-plus Idol Gives Back charity concert Wednesday night someone had to say farewell.

It was Tim Urban’s time to go. (Well it was about time. He may look great shirtless in his modeling pictures, but this guy surely cannot carry a tune. He should have been gone along time ago...like before Hollywood week!)

He had a better run than probably anyone — apart from friends and family — expected, largely because he always flashed an ingratiating smile, had better hair than most professional pop stars and was growing stronger as a performer week by week. But you may have sensed the end was near Tuesday night when Ellen compared him to a soup du jour that failed to please her that particular day.

Ellen’s light cleverness often gets to the essence of everything.

In an unexpected development, Casey James not only made his first trip to the bottom three (along with Tim and Aaron Kelly) but he also fell to the bottom two. Casey’s problem is turning out to be his jaunty, rock ’n’ roll consistency. He’s often better than Aaron or Siobhan Magnus, but their occasional lows make their highs seem all the more impressive.

A rocky mountain range is more striking than even the most fertile plain.

Meanwhile, the rest of the show went off in all sorts of directions, raising money and doing good with the participation of many celebrities. The best guest performer? Probably Annie Lennox, who taped a segment about an HIV-positive girl in Africa. She also sang from London. (All the Icelandic volcano smoke prevented her from catching a flight to the States).

And it was fun to see Mary J. Blige do “Stairway to Heaven” with Randy on guitar.

I also loved Joss Stone's performance, along with Carrie Underwood.

Of the comic guests, Wanda Sykes was far and away the funniest with a short but on-target monologue: She said she’d been wondering if Simon was bored this season. She also observed how cruel it is to force the losing contestant to sing each week. George Lopez's "elimination" segment was also very entertaining.

This week, Tim was spared that final performance since the show was running so late. He went out smiling like blazes, though.

Next week's mentor is Shania Twain and the six remaining contestants will be performing her songs.

Conan O'Brien Taking Late-Night Show to Cable

Conan O'Brien has emerged from the late-night war with Jay Leno at NBC with a new show beginning in November on TBS.

“In three months I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly," O'Brien said in a statement.

On his Twitter page, he joked: "The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I'll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show."

His new show will air Monday through Thursday at 11:00 pm (ET), taking the current slot of George Lopez's show Lopez Tonight, which will then move to midnight.

According to TBS, O’Brien began talks in earnest with the network last week after Lopez personally called him to recruit him. “I can’t think of anything better than doing my show with Conan as my lead-in,” Lopez said. “It’s the beginning of a new era in late-night comedy.”

The comedian begins his 30-city North American comedy tour – dubbed the The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television Tour – Monday night in Eugene, Oregon.
