Actor John Barrowman is hoping writers bring his Desperate Housewives character back from the dead - because he's already missing the leading ladies' naughty, diva antics.
The Scottish-born actor played Drea de Matteo's ex-boyfriend Patrick Logan in five episodes of the drama and admits he could write a revealing book based on what he witnessed on set.
And now he's dreaming of an unlikely return to Wisteria Lane - the fictional address of the Housewives.
He tells Britain's 5 O'Clock Show, "Actually they were nothing but generous to me - that's not to say that things don't go on. I spent most time with Eva (Longoria Parker) and Drea de Matteo and we had a wonderful time.
"Eva Longoria's got a naughty sense of humor like I do. But you know, things happen on long-running shows and all the sagas that go on, so obviously there's a bit of diva-ness that goes on there. And why not?... I know (my character's) been blown up and I'm dead but I would like to work again for them."
Looks like Wisteria Lane could soon be doubling as a runway! According to E! Online, an ABC rep confirmed that supermodels and reality TV staples Heidi Klum and Paulina Porizkova have just inked deals to guest star on ABC’s Desperate Housewives. According to sources, they’ll be playing themselves in an episode tentatively slated to air in March.
In the episode, Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker), a former model, and Angie (Drea de Matteo) run into the Project Runway host and former America’s Next Top Model judge in the Big Apple. While the storyline will take place in New York City, the episode is scheduled to shoot in Los Angeles.
Former The Sopranos star Drea De Matteo has been fired from Desperate Housewives after just five episodes, according to reports.
The actress joined Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman on the program as the matriarch of an Italian family who moves to Wisteria Lane.
But falling ratings have cost her her primetime TV role - TV bosses have decided to cut De Matteo from the show, reports the National Enquirer.
An Emmy winner for her role as Adriana, the put-upon — and put-down — girlfriend of Christopher (Michael Imperoli) on The Sopranos, and sister Gina on the short-lived Joey (with Matt LeBlanc), Drea de Matteo proves once again she’s one of the hardest working actresses on TV. Her next stop: Wisteria Lane.
EW.com reports that de Matteo, 37, will join the cast of Desperate Housewives as the head of a new Italian family that moves on to the block. Also inhabiting her house: a landscape architect husband and a neurotic son. (Their casting is still to come.)
Last season, the show, which premiered in October 2004, lost series regular Nicollette Sheridan, who played the bombshell Edie.
