Justin Long Bares All for Christina Applegate

Justin Long is set to bare all in new movie Going The Distance, according to his co-star Christina Applegate, who got to see everything the actor has to offer.

The pair team up in two forthcoming films; the romantic comedy about a couple in a long distance relationship, and kids' film Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.

And Applegate insists the two pictures couldn't be more different.

She tells the Belfast Telegraph, "It's called Going The Distance and it's very dirty. It's the polar opposite of Alvin And The Chipmunks. These people will not be able to go see that."

And she promises there's lots on offer for female fans in the raunchy comedy: "I saw a lot of Justin Long over the summer, I did - you'll see the movie and you'll know why I said that."

Christina Applegate Misses Her Old Breasts

Christina Applegate had breast reconstruction surgery a year ago following a double mastectomy, but she still misses her old boobs.

"It's really hard because they just aren't the same – and I had really good ones," Applegate, 37, says in the October issue of Women's Health. "If you have boobs you don't like, you can go and choose the size you want, and then get a brand new present. But it's different [when it’s not your choice]."

Still, the actress, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2008, has found a silver lining in the surgery: "I hold on to the fact that I don't have to wear a bra, which is great!”

New Passion

After her diagnoses, Applegate started a foundation, Right Action for Women, with a focus on testing and early detection of breast cancer.

"I became really passionate about people who are at high risk having the same opportunity to get this sort of testing," says Applegate, who learned she had an early stage of breast cancer following an MRI. "Some insurance companies consider the tests exploratory, which is just ridiculous. I mean, it saved my life!"

She recently had a powerful encounter with a woman who was helped by her foundation. "It was pretty heavy. She was crying and holding me and said, 'Thank you for saving my life,' " Applegate recalls. "When that happens, you can't help but think 'Okay, I've done the right thing.' "

Comic Relief

When Applegate was in the hospital, she had a strong support system, and was able to find some relief through humor.

"I laughed more in the hospital than I ever have in my life, making fun of all the weird things that were happening to me. My friends would walk in with this sad look, and I would throw something at them and say, 'Come on! This isn't the end of the world!' "

Her boyfriend, musician Martyn Lenoble, was also her rock through her battle with cancer.

"I don't think I would have been able to get through any of it without him," she says. Still, Applegate nixes the idea that they're getting married soon. "Can a girl please wear a ring on her left hand and not have it be all, 'Is she engaged?'"

Christina Applegate Scores 'People' Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful Cover

Turns out beauty is more than skin deep, even in Hollywood.

This week, People released its annual 100 Most Beautiful People issue, choosing actress Christina Applegate as their covergirl for the strength she displayed last year after being diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing a double mastectomy. And her good looks don't hurt, either.

As usual, Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry and George Clooney also made the cut in this year's choices. But there were some fresh names on the list as well, thanks in part to the Disney craze that's erupted of late. The magazine featured youngsters Demi Lovato, Emma Roberts and Selena Gomez, along with High School Musical phenomenon Zac Efron (sorry, Vanessa).

The Twilight contingent also represented, with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart both making the list, along with the young ladies of 90210: Shenae Grimes, Jessica Stroup, AnnaLynne McCord and Jessica Lowndes.

Country girls Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood made the cut, along with scorned bachelor girlfriend-turned-Dancing With the Stars stunner Melissa Rycroft.

Since nothing's sexier than a sense of humor, some of our favorite SNL alums and comedians were honored as well. Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Jimmy Fallon, Kristen Wiig and the always-delightful Chelsea Handler cleaned up in that category.

The last surprise: First Lady Michelle Obama, arms and all, represented the White House -- along with Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.

For a complete list and great pictures of this year's choices, pick up the latest People which hits newstands tomorrow.

Christina Applegate's New Lease on Life

She has an "angel" of a boyfriend, Dutch bass player Martyn Lenoble, "who loves me from head to toe." She has a cozy Malibu beach house that she calls "the best thing I've ever done for myself." And, after a very public battle with breast cancer that has given her a gratifying "feeling of purpose," Christina Applegate has a new lease on life.

"I used to be really shy but I started to come into my own in my late 20s and early 30s," Applegate, 37, told People in the cover interview for the annual Most Beautiful issue. "Now I'm not afraid to speak up in a room full of people and be a part of the conversation."

The Samantha Who? star says she's finding balance and embracing her body after undergoing a double mastectomy in July, followed by reconstructive breast surgery in November.

"You have to get through the physical transformations then buck up, go to work and try to be the normal, happy Christina for everyone around you," she says.

One source of strength has been Lenoble. "He's been a friend for about 13 years," Applegate says. "Our relationship gets stronger and stronger. I'm really lucky."

And, more importantly, he makes the actress feel "beautiful" about her new body.

"I'm very grateful to Martyn for coming along at a time that he did because he's been my rock through all of this," Applegate says. "He gave me something to really want to live for and something to smile about."

Christina Applegate is Confident Samantha Who? Will Survive Network Cull

Christina Applegate is confident her TV show Samantha Who? will survive the network axe a second time, and return for a third season later this year.

Despite the cancellation of a string of ABC shows including Life on Mars, Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money, network chiefs are keeping faith with the comedy show. Back in October they commissioned an extension to the second season.

And Applegate is hopeful the cast will all return for season three. She tells AOL Television, "No, no. They're very hush-hush over there. Believe you me, I try to get it out of everybody as much as I possibly can. (Laughs) All I hear is just, 'Be positive.' Tough times - with the economy, even networks have suffered immensely, so you just never know what's gonna happen."
