Charlie's Angels Star Kate Jackson Writing Memoir

Charlie's Angels star Kate Jackson is to reveal all about surviving breast cancer, adopting a baby and her acting career in a forthcoming memoir.

The 61 year old rose to fame in the 1970s as Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith's co-star on the hit TV series - but her career was put on hold in 1987, after she was diagnosed with the deadly disease.

She battled the illness throughout the 1980s but was finally given a clean bill of health after a series of major operations.

Jackson went on to adopt her first child, Charles Taylor Jackson, in September 1995, and continued to work on her TV career.

Now the star will share her personal ups and downs in an as-yet-untitled tome, scheduled for release in June 2011.

Ricky Martin’s New Book “Me” to be Out in Fall!

The gay community has high hopes for Ricky Martin’s forthcoming memoir.

If it is in any way near as candid as his coming out blog post was, we will be in for something truly personal and introspective.

Ricky tweeted recently that the book, titled Me, is now complete and will go on sale in November.

It will also be fascinating to see and read Ricky’s interviews as he promotes the book. Now that he is an openly gay man and a father of two, I bet it will be a far different man than the one who ducked Barbara Walters’ “Are you gay?” question a decade ago.

Elton John had Three-Way Gay Sex the Week of His Wedding to a Woman!

That's just one of the revelations in Mark Bego's book "THE BITCH IS BACK: ELTON JOHN," which is described as "the most complete and up-to-date look at the complex, sex, drug, and liquor-filled life."

This book captures the straight (and not so straight) scoop that every Elton John fan has been waiting for. From the addictions, toupees, affairs and scandals to the triumphant later years.

Elton John has sold over 200 million records and has more than 56 top-40 singles. He has won five Grammy awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Tony. Rolling Stone ranks him #49 on their list of the 100 greatest artists of all time. Yet no book published in the U.S. has so successfully captured the passion and complexity of Elton John’s life, much less his music.

His stylistic versatility, combined with his flamboyant stage shows and memorable costumes, make him an unlikely combination of John Lennon, Noel Coward, Barry Manilow and Liberace.

In a marketplace that regularly disposes of its pop icons, Elton John has been a musical force for decades, bringing his unique talents to venues as diverse as Broadway and Las Vegas. In The Bitch Is Back, Mark Bego brings this music legend to life.

Learn about:

How Elton lied to the press about his marriage to Renate, and knew it was a mistake immediately

Duncan Faure of The Bay City Rollers discussing Elton's attempts to seduce him

Elton's ridiculous attempts at suicide, as a desperate cry for help, when he was struggling with his sexuality

The back story of Elton's live-in manager, and how they were secretly lovers, while publicly claiming that they just had a professional relationship

Cher's daughter Chastity Bono is writing her memoir to document her sex change from a woman to a man.

The pop superstar's child, now known as Chaz, began the lengthy gender reassignment process last year and now prefers to be referred to as a 'he'.

News of actress/writer Bono's sex change surgery was revealed in June - and now he is set to cash in on his story after selling the rights to his autobiography to publishing house Dutton.

According to TMZ.com, Bono - who announced he is gay in 1995 - received "a handsome, six-figure deal" for the book.

The tentatively titled "Coming Clean" will hit stores in 2011.

Mackenzie Phillips: I Slept with My Own Father

"Don't hate my father," Mackenzie Phillips told People.

But in a tell-all book out Wednesday, the former childhood actress reveals that her dad, musician John Phillips of the '60s band the Mamas and the Papas, engaged with her in a long-term incestuous relationship.

Phillips, 49, who has survived drug addiction, arrests and divorce, writes in the book High on Arrival that she was already a star playing a boy-crazy teen on the TV sitcom One Day at a Time when her father had sex with her on the night before she was to marry Jeff Sessler, a member of the Rolling Stones entourage, in 1979.

"On the eve of my wedding, my father showed up, determined to stop it," writes Phillips, who was 19 and a heavy drug user at the time. "I had tons of pills, and Dad had tons of everything too. Eventually I passed out on Dad's bed."

Blackout

"My father was not a man with boundaries. He was full of love, and he was sick with drugs. I woke up that night from a blackout to find myself having sex with my own father.

"Had this happened before? I didn't know. All I can say is it was the first time I was aware of it. For a moment I was in my body, in that horrible truth, and then I slid back into a blackout."

Phillips' life began to spiral out of control. In 1980, she was fired from One Day at a Time because of her constant drug use. That same year, she went to rehab – with her father. She even toured with him in a band called the New Mamas and the Papas. Her sexual relationship with him had become consensual.

Delusional

"I was a fragment of a person, and my secret isolated me," she writes.

"One night Dad said, 'We could just run away to a country where no one would look down on us. There are countries where this is an accepted practice. Maybe Fiji.'

"He was completely delusional. No, I thought, we're going to hell for this."
