Last week, Jude Law met his new daughter for the first time. The Sherlock Holmes star visited five-month-old Sophia, whose mother is American model Samantha Burke, with his lawyer Maurice Kutner in Florida.A source said: “Jude was very on edge about the meeting. The pregnancy wasn’t planned but he wants to do the right thing. It’s not like he can hide -- as soon as Sophia can use the internet she can find out who her dad is.”
The 37-year-old star -- who also has three children with ex-wife Sadie Frost -- has reportedly made agreements with Samantha on how Jude will support Sophia, including maintenance payments.
Samantha has been staying in the plush Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami, while Jude has stayed in a different residence. She became pregnant after they met in an NYC nightclub while he was filming Sherlock Holmes in December 2008.
The actor is now dating ex-fiancee Sienna Miller, whom he split from in November 2006 following allegations of an affair with his children’s former nanny Daisy Wright.
