A lawsuit involving late actor Heath Ledger's $10 million life insurance policy has been settled, according to new reports. An attorney for the tragic star, who died one year ago, sued ReliaStar Life Insurance Company last year, claiming the firm's bosses refused to pay out death benefits pending an investigation on whether his death was a suicide.
A coroner later ruled Ledger died from an accidental prescription drug overdose.
Documents indicate a court guardian will be appointed to represent the policy's beneficiary, Matilda, Ledger's three-year-old daughter with actress ex Michelle Williams.
A closed hearing has been requested for late February.
