Where Are They Now?

Ever wondered where your favorite stars of "yester-year" are today? Well, here's the place where you will know on their current whereabouts.

I will start my first installment of "Where Are They Now?" with one of my all-time favorite TV star of the 70s, Farrah Fawcett.

As a young boy I always stayed up on Wednesday nights to watch "three little girls who went to the police academy" and that "were each assigned very hazardous duties". Watching Charlie's Angels and his three beauties Jill Munroe (Farrah Fawcett-Majors), Kelly Garrett (Jacklyn Smith) and Sabrina Duncan (Kate Jackson) was a weekly ritual for me.

I watched all six seasons of "Jiggle TV" from the early stages, all the way through the introduction of three other angels: Kris Munroe (Cheryl Ladd), Tiffany Welles (Shelley Hack) and Julie Rogers (Tanya Roberts) throughout the six seasons. But, my favorite was always...Farrah Fawcett Majors. I had every poster, picture and even the famous pillow during my adolescences of my favorite angel.

Farrah went on to star in several movies including: Logan's Run, Somebody Killed Her Husband, Extremities, and many more, but her "angel years" were the most memorable. After her marriage with Lee Majors ended, Farrah went on to date another famous star of the 70s, Ryan O'Neal and had a son with him (Redmond), but never decided to marry him.

In recent years, Farrah has been in the spotlight for different and unfortunate reasons. On October 2006, it was revealed that Fawcett had anal cancer, and was undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy and surgery. By her 60th birthday in February 2007, the Associated Press reported that Farrah was cancer free. Unfortunately, three months later in May 2007, it was reported that a malignant polyp was found in the area where Fawcett had been treated for the initial cancer. Doctors contemplated whether to implant a radiation seeder (which differs from conventional radiation and is used to treat other types of cancer). Farrah however, chose to travel to Germany for cancer treatment not available in the U.S.

Sources now say that the former angel is looking tanned and in great shape, and is not considering any more treatments.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to a true angel...Farrah Fawcett.
