Jennifer Lopez: Why I Had the Twins Pose for Gucci

Jennifer Lopez has gotten twins Emme and Max started early in modeling, but it was all for a good cause.

The actress-singer recently posed with the twins, who will be 3 next month, in ads introducing Gucci’s new kids’ line of clothing.

She did so because there was a strong charity connection, not because Emme and Max were clamoring for the gig.

“They’re like, ‘Mom, hello! Hair and makeup!’ ” Lopez, 41, jokes in Tuesday's interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“No. Actually, Frida Giannini from Gucci said she was going to launch the Gucci’s kids line, and they were going to do it in conjunction with a big donation, and they were going to do it with [the United Nations' children's charity] UNICEF, and would we do it?”

Lopez and her husband, Marc Anthony, were torn, but eventually agreed. “Marc didn’t really want to put the babies in an ad or anything like that,” Lopez says. “And I was just like, if they do it, I’d want to do it with my kids because it is for the kids. That’s the connection. That’s what makes it real. We don’t really parade them around like that, so it was for a good cause.”

One thing Lopez and Anthony haven’t committed to? Having more kids themselves. “I don’t know. As soon as I had the babies, I thought to myself, ‘I want to do this a thousand more times. I love this. This is life,’ ” she says. “And now that it’s like three years in, I’m like, ‘Can I do that again?’ It’s funny. But yes, if I got pregnant, I would be extremely happy.”

Jennifer Lopez: Why American Idol is Right for Me

Jennifer Lopez is "excited" about her new gig as a judge on American Idol's 10th season, especially since it will allow more time at home with her family in L.A.

"We're really happy that we get to be in one place with the babies [2-year-old twins Max and Emme] for a while," she says. "This is going to put us here for like six months. It's unheard of for us. The babies can do dance class and soccer practice. We're excited about being a little bit of a normal family for a little while."

The move to Idol also demonstrates how Lopez, 40, and husband Marc Anthony, 42, make big life-decisions – like taking a new high-profile job – together.

"I don't know that we ever thought I'd do something like this," says Lopez. "But when I was a dancer, was I going to be an actress? Yeah. When I was an actress, was I going to be a singer? Yes. I just think this is another evolution of that – and [Marc] explained it to me like that."

Now that the announcement is official, Lopez is eager to get started on her new gig. "I'm going to give it my whole heart, soul and passion like I do with everything that I do," she said. "I'm looking forward to such a fun year."

More Kids for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony?

Jennifer Lopez already has twins Max and Emme with her husband Marc Anthony, but she still wants to expand her brood.

She is quoted by gossip website Absolute Now as saying: “I want more babies -- definitely. But you can't really plan your life. As much as you would like to and as much as you would like to say, 'I want to do this then and that then and this by that time, it is all going to be perfect,' that's not life. That's not how it is. You have to just be willing to go with what happens.”

Jennifer, 40, recently revealed she refused to undergo IVF when she was first trying to get pregnant. Although she and Marc were trying to start a family for a long time, the singer and actress didn't want to seek medical help.

Jennifer, who gave birth to Max and Emme in February 2008, said: “When it comes to family and relationships, I'm quite traditional. Just because of the way I was raised. And I also believe in God and I have a lot of faith in that, so I just felt like you don't mess with things like that. And I guess deep down I really felt like either this is not going to happen for me or it is. You know what I mean? And if it is, it will. And if it's not, it's not going to."

Jennifer Lopez Can't Get Enough of Her Kids

Jennifer Lopez is one proud mama. The singer-and-actress and her husband Marc Anthony are totally gaga over their 21-month-old twins, son Max and daughter Emme, and said they can't stop showing them off to, well, anyone they run into.

She explained: “When Marc and I are out we get out our phones and show everyone pictures of our kids. We probably do that a little too much. You always think you are not going to be that person -- but then you are. We are just normal I guess.”

The 40-year-old beauty also spoke about how the twins are the most important thing in her life. She said: “Our babies are our priority, they are just everything and they come first. They just make everything better.”

The "I’m Real" star recently revealed she sings lullabies to the tots and whispers how much she loves them to help them drift off to sleep. She explained: "I sing little lullabies to them to help them go off to sleep some nights. But I like to whisper in their ear and that works even better. I have done that since they were tiny babies. I whisper to them how much I love them."

Star Sighting: High Stakes Couple

Now a partial owners of the Miami Dolphins, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez attend their team's Monday night football game against the Indianapolis Colts at Landshark Stadium in Miami – where the couple just bought a new home.

Marc Anthony Buys New Miami Waterfront Condo

Marc Anthony is so enthusiastic about becoming a minority partner in the NFL's Miami Dolphins that he's bought a new home in Miami.

"I bought a condo today in Miami," Anthony, 40, said Monday night during halftime of the Miami Dolphins vs. Indianapolis Colts football game at Miami's Landshark Stadium. "When we are through decorating the condo, it will be the sexiest place in town!"

Anthony and wife Jennifer Lopez's new pad is in the Icon Brickell, a new, three-tower condominium designed by Philippe Starck. The stunning complex, which includes the Viceroy Miami Hotel, is near Miami's downtown and financial district, just a few minutes from South Beach.

In April, Anthony and Lopez, 40, spent a weekend with their children at Viceroy Miami and Icon Brickell, after Anthony's concert in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in nearby Hollywood, Florida.

The couple met with the Icon Brickell's developer Jorge Perez and got a personal tour of several condos. Though they looked at other Miami-area condo buildings, they decided on this one.

"We are not selling our homes in New York or Los Angeles, we are just adding Miami," Anthony stated. "Now that I am involved with the Dolphins, I am busy working and see a different set of stresses than I experience being a father. So I want to be close by. And we love Miami."

Jennifer Lopez Throws D.C. Birthday Bash
for Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have taken Washington D.C. by storm, bringing Hollywood glamour to the political heart of the nation.

The pair, in town for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's awards gala, celebrated Anthony's 41st birthday Wednesday night at the W hotel's P.O.V. lounge.

Before the fete though, Anthony reportedly got a treat from President Obama, who led a group of senators and congressmen in a rendition of "Happy Birthday" for the singer backstage at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus gala, according to Gossip Cop.

President Obama joked at the Hispanic Caucus dinner that the group's chairwoman, Nydia Velazquez, has a crush on Anthony. "I'm telling you, J.Lo, watch out," the President quipped.

As for the birthday party, Lopez hosted the bash, which was attended by Anthony's family, agent Benny Medina, Rep. Linda Sanchez, Miami Dolphins coach Wayne Huizenga, as well as a slew of ambassadors and other dignitaries. The party started around 10:30 p.m. and lasted until 2 a.m.

Anthony was presented with a five-tier chocolate cake from Fancy Cakes by Leslie that was decorated with brown fondant icing, gold art deco accents and "Congratulations and Happy Birthday" written on it.

Earlier in the day, the couple met with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi – and even stopped by the Oval Office. "[Jennifer] was here for a tour. She's in town for the CHC dinner. She popped into the Oval Office," a White House source stated.

During lunch, Lopez and Anthony, who also brought their twins to D.C., munched on salads, New York strip steaks, chicken and vanilla lemon buttercream birthday cake from Morton's the Steakhouse.

Marc Anthony Buys Stake in Miami Dolphins

Marc Anthony has a new project in the works – and it's not musical: The singer has become a partial owner of the Miami Dolphins.

"I'm a huge sports fan," says Anthony, 40. "These opportunities don't come around too often. It's quite an honor and a privilege to be able to sit here today saying that I'm a part-owner of an NFL team."

Anthony struck a deal with Stephen Ross, the New York-based real estate entrepreneur who bought a 95-percent stake in the Dolphins franchise in January. The singer did not disclose the financial terms. "It would have probably been cheaper just to buy season tickets," he said, joking. (Ross paid $1 billion for his share of the team, Sports Illustrated reported at the time.)

Money aside, Anthony says he and Ross shared common goals for the Dolphins.

"We spoke for quite a while about his vision for the team and, like I said, it was just intoxicating," he says. "It was just a win-win for everybody involved."

Ross says the feeling is mutual.

"Marc's a pretty bright guy and he has a lot of interesting ideas," Ross told People. "We're trying to do something different and he was thinking outside the box. I think when your minds start going and thinking of all the different possibilities, I thought it would be a great fit and fun to do something."

While the deal's been made, Anthony still has one more thing to finalize: Finding a house in Miami for his family.

Anthony says he and wife Jennifer Lopez are house hunting now. "Jennifer loves Miami," he says. "So she's really, really happy about this because we're going to be spending a lot of time down there."

Jennifer Lopez: Emme Has My Attitude, Max Has My Mouth

Jennifer Lopez says her 14-month-old daughter Emme has some divalike tendencies – and guess where she learned them?

"We call her Emme-tude because we're like, 'She's giving us Emme-tude right now,' " Lopez, 39, tells Rachael Ray in an interview scheduled to air on her talk show today. "She gets that from her dad. I'm kidding – she gets it from me."

As for twin son, Max, Lopez says she and husband Marc Anthony think he also favors his mother in some ways. "Me and Marc are always claiming he's got my head and he's got my mouth," she says.

"You want it all to be you," Lopez says, adding, [Emme's] got my little body." "That's the nature of who we are; we can't help it. We're both trying to steal it all."

One thing Lopez enjoys most, she says, is perceiving the unique qualities of each child. "They're very different," she says. "You can really see it, even from when they're really young."

How would she describe Max? "He's more like the visceral boy – running, knocking things down, eating," Lopez says.

And Emme?

"She takes a step and stops and picks things up and she's like 'I don't know, maybe I'll eat this.' … She’s really kind of indecisive but at the same time very precise."

Ever doting, Lopez says she made a big to-do about the kids' first birthday in February. "We did it in my backyard in L.A.," she says. "We had a BBQ/carnival type thing. Nothing like Mommy Dearest ... It was more just like we had snow cones and a little jumpy."

"They had the best time at their birthday party," she says. "I didn't think a 1-year-old could have fun at a birthday party. But they did; they loved it. I think I did a good job, and they’re going to remember."

Marc Anthony & Jennifer Lopez Share Romantic Duet at Inaugural Ball

That Marc Anthony sure knows how to end his set.

The crooner completed his inaugural performance by bringing "my wife," Jennifer Lopez, on to the stage with him, for a duet.

This thrilled the crowd at the Inauguration's Western Ball, held in the largest ballroom of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, where the guests also included Angela Bassett and Harold & Kumar and House star Kal Penn, reports The Washington Post.

The 10:25 p.m. appearance of Lopez also further put to rest rumors of a marital rift between the couple.

Earlier in the evening, Anthony had said, "I wrote this next song about Jennifer. I must have been psychic." The song was his decade-old "You Sang to Me."

"She didn't get the point, but eventually it worked," said Anthony, the Associated Press reports.

The couple ended their duet with a kiss. "Man, she's cute," Anthony said after Lopez exited the stage.
