Did Bristol Palin Survive Another Week of Dancing?

Bristol Palin may miss her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska, but the teen mom is making herself nice and cozy on Dancing with the Stars – in the cellar.

For another week, Palin and partner Mark Ballas finished last with an Argentine Tango and a samba that couldn't match up with the skills of the other contestants.

But Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya were only one point away from the bottom with their waltz and cha-cha performances.

Did Palin survive another week Tuesday, leaving Warner to pack his bags? Or did this week's elimination follow the last two shockers?

Palin will dance another day as Warner was eliminated. The audience chanted, "M.V.P.," to the retired football star.

It's now down to four semi-finalists. Along with Palin, they are Brandy, Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey.

After performing a sexy samba and a even sexier freestyle with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Monday night, ESPN reporter Erin Andrews found herself at the top of the leader board for the first time, tied with front-runners Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough.

An Olympian who has proved his worth in gold, Evan Lysacek, and his partner Anna Trebunskaya were close behind after the first night of competition on Dancing‘s two-night finale.

Tuesday night they danced again and two were eliminated, leaving one star the proud season 10 champ and owner of the coveted mirror ball trophy.

Lysacek was second and Andrews was third.

Scherzinger’s victory capped a banner year for the show. Not every program can top the ratings charts in its 10th season, but Dancing did just that, outdoing juggernaut American Idol several times thanks to a cast that included reality star Kate Gosselin, actress Pamela Anderson, pro football player Chad Ochocinco and Bachelor star Jake Pavelka.

There were the usual are-they-or-aren’t-they dating rumors that swirled around couples like Andrews and Chmerkovskiy, and Cheryl Burke and Ochocinco.

Not to mention plenty of off-the-dance-floor drama. Captured on tape were flaring tempers between pro Tony Dovolani and Gosselin, as well as tears from frustrated pros Chelsie Hightower and Trebunskaya. And no sooner had Andrews put the much-publicized peephole stalking incident behind her when another stalker surfaced and threatened her life.

But in the end it came down to talent, especially that of Pussycat Dolls vocalist Scherzinger, whom pro Jonathan Roberts calls “the best woman to ever be on the show,” and Olympic figure skating champ Lysacek, “the best guy to ever be on the show. In a way, it’s a tragedy that both Evan and Nicole were on the same season, because in any other given season either one of them would hands down be the winner.”

Evan Lysacek Fine After Concussion

Evan Lysacek — who already broke his toes — once again suffered an injury this week when he got a concussion during rehearsal.

Was falling on his neck bad as it sounded on TV? “It was twice as loud in real life,” he says. “When you have an accident like that, you get scared when you hear that noise. I thought, ‘Oh no, I have to skate tonight.’”

But he did and later he flew back to Los Angeles for more rehearsals. He still has headaches, but otherwise he’s fine — except for that low score of 21 on Monday night.

“We were disappointed,” he explains. “But I think they were expecting more from us. So we have to go back to the drawing board.”

Ultimate Fighter Chuck Liddell Voted OffDancing with the Stars

Ultimate fighter Chuck Liddell and his dance partner Anna Trebunskaya were booted off of Dancing with the Stars after their Texas Two-Step failed to win enough votes to keep them dancing for another week.

“I’ve never been accused of being a good dancer, but I’ve always liked dancing,” says Liddell, who is the designated dancer among friends. “I wish I could’ve stuck around a little longer.”

He may not have been the most skilled dancer of the bunch, but he definitely entertained. In fact, last week, the judges asked for an encore performance of the couple’s samba because it was filled with energy and enthusiasm.

Costar Joanna Krupa says Liddell’s ouster is a reminder that no one is safe. “We were really shocked that Chuck left, so that makes me even more nervous for next week because you just never know.”

Her dance partner, Derek Hough, says he was impressed with Liddell’s footwork and he was continually improving as a dancer. “I saw him do a little bit of quick step last night and he did really good. I’m so bummed that he’s not going to be able to show that to everybody.”

Joining Liddell in the bottom two was early front-runner Aaron Carter and his partner Karina Smirnoff. When his name was announced at the start of the show, the audience gasped. Carter, who wears his often teary emotions on his sleeves, was nowhere to be found after the show.

Snowboarder Louie Vito and his partner Chelsie Hightower, who has spent most of her Tuesday nights on the hot seat, also joined them at the bottom. “The more you care, the more you get nervous about it,” she says.

But Vito joked that he kept his partner’s best interest in mind. “I didn’t want to take Chelsie out of her comfort zone. I know how much she likes being in those last three.”

As the dancers enter their fifth week of competition, they are beginning to bond backstage. Former Dallas Cowboy football player Michael Irvin, who was prepared to leave and then shocked to hear that he was safe from elimination, says it was hard to watch Liddell leave.

“Seeing the way this hurts Chuck, it hurts me that he’s hurt by it,” says Irvin.

Liddell, who is 6’2”, says he’s walking away from the show a little bit taller thanks to his partner Trebunskaya.

“All my friends said, ‘Man, something’s different about you now that you’re dancing,’” he says. “There’s nothing different about my body, it’s just that I’m standing up straight and walking with good posture.”
