It appears as if South Florida has once again "dodged" another tropical system...and we are extremely grateful!
Hurricane Ike, current a category 4 as of 8:00 am ET on Sunday, September 7th, is tracking away from South Florida and possibly even the Florida Keys. It is currently affecting the Southern Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, and soon the poor people in Cuba. But, our friends up in the Gulf Coast (Texas & Louisiana) need to keep a close eye on this system, as Ike is tracking towards their neck of the woods for later this week.

Thank you Mother Nature for sparing us from a category 4 hurricane. South Florida does not need another "Andrew".
