American Idol: Top 13 Live Performance Show

The competition has FINALLY begun!

When I first heard that the tonight's theme would be "Michael Jackson" songs, I almost decided to skip watching the performances as I expected a bunch of corny and off-key performances.

Well, I was wrong! It actually turned out to be a very entertaining night with most of the Top 13 singing great renditions of the King of Pop's hits (and not so big hits). After over two hours of great singing and performances, I was ecstatic to have watched what could be "The Best" top performers in Idol history.

One thing for sure, my choices for Top 2 have not changed from the beginning of this season.

Danny Gokey, my definition to P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing), showed America what being a great singer and performer is all about. He belted one of my favorite Michael Jackson tunes (PTY - Pretty Young Thing) and owned the stage. Gokey really has GOT IT!
My second favorite performance was by none other than Adam Lambert, who is a true performer in every way. He sang "Black or White" and showed us all of what he's got! Adam is a star performer at heart.
An honorable mention goes to my favorite female performer, Allison Iraheta. At just 16 years old, she really ROCKED MY WORLD!
Now, I was easily able to decide on my choices for the bottom two positions.

Truly, Megan Joy Corkrey's choice of song "Rocking Robin" was the worst I could have ever imagined. She was corny from the moment she opened her mouth to her flopping arms dance. She is way out of her league.
The worst (for me) was Mr. Unlucky 13, Anoop Desai. Simon was right when he basically called Anoop "stupid" for his poor song (Beat It) choice. He just needs to "Beat It" out of the competition tomorrow holding hands with "Rockin' Robin" Megan.
Tuned in tomorrow (Thursday) to FOX at 9:00 pm (ET) for the live results show. Ryan mentioned there was a "twist" and that it would be announced during the results show. I predict it will have something to do with the judges influencing (or vetoing) America's vote.
